Please seriously consider this info before taking your INDOOR cat to this vet. They believe — according to what I was told on a lengthy phone call — indoor cats should be vaccinated for Feline Leukemia. This despite the recent research showing it completely unnecessary and likely harmful as many cats vaccinated this way have developed cancer in the 7– 9^th year of life. In fact many breeders will not honor a health guarantee if a cat is vaccinated for Feline Leukemia. Cats must have constant contact and exchange of fluids to catch this from another cat who carries it. An indoor cat, tested free of the disease, cannot transmit it otherwise. They WILL NOT SEE OR TREAT YOUR PET WITHOUT THIS VACCINE. No exceptions I was told. Needless to say, I went elsewhere with my indoor, disease free, kitten for what I needed.

Have been going to Dr Karen for several years with our French Bulldog, and you assume its a good clinic until there is an issue. That issue happened today. Took our dog in for a simple nail trim and low and behold one of the nails was cut way too short. When we got him home there was blood all over our car leather seat! He ran in the house and got blood all over the carpet and his nail would not stop bleeding! We had to go to a close by Petsmart and get a powder to stop blood, bandages, tape, rug stain remover, lucky to have our own rug shampoo machine and husband doing that now. Blood all over my legs and clothes!!! Called Dr Karen for at least money back but nope! Not even an apology!!!

We love our cat so much that we looked at over 100 reviews on Unilocal to find a good vet. We are glad we found a place to bring Frozie. She needed a lot of shots and the were a reasonable price. Thank you for helping us feel comfortable.

I am so happy I found Dr. LEE. Our dog, Pepper has a hemotoma on his ear. We took Pepper to our usual vet, who will remain nameless, and they wanted to perform surgery, etc for almost 1000 00.
Dr Lee gave him antibiotics, a cone and treatment for 200.00. Said surgery not necessary at all. This is not just about money, as Pepper is a member of our family, but Dr Lee really cares. He spent as much time as needed, explained everything in detail, showed us how to care for his ear and kept asking if we had any questions.
We are now Dr Lee patients for life!

We have been looking for a veterinarian in our area who really cares for their patients. I found it!!! Not only was it sparkling clean, the staff was fantastic. I had an emergency, made the apmt for the next day, and was in and out within. 25 minutes. That includes all new paperwork and all the medications. Fearing the final bill, and I was once again incredibly happy! Thank you to the staff and the doctor.

These guys are the best! They clearly love animals and will help you give the best care for your pets. They aren’t all about making you pay tons of money and their advice is always solid. I’ve been taking my cat here for a year now and he loves being there. I even board him there when I go on a trip and they always let me know how he liked his stay. They also sell the only flea medicine that seems to work!

I was referred to Warner West Pet Clinic by a good friend. I took my French Bulldog in and was very happy with the front office staff as well as, Dr Karen. She did not try and order more tests than necessary (like my last vet)
and gave me great advice and vet care. I will definitely be going back! :)

My mother adores her dog — he’s all she has and to hear her so upset today about the dismissal she received from Dr. Karen, understandably upset me. Maybe she is good for routine shots and procedures, but when my aged mom showed up today concerned that her dog had eaten something toxic, she was met with apathy. Dr. Karen had no patients at the time and wouldnt even acknowledge my mother’s concerns. I told my mom we would find a compassionate, caring vet… this place let her down, and heaven help it if something is seriously wrong with my mom’s beloved dog and being ignored this morning contributes to his demise or illness!

I took my cat to the spay/​neuter clinic a few months ago and everything went great! The front office staff were very friendly and answered all my questions and I left her feeling like she was in good hands. I received a call saying the surgery would be an extra $ 20 since my cat was in heat. I picked her up and she seemed like her usual, spunky self. The vet assistant called the next day to check on her progress. Overall, my experience here was great and I will be returning for all my other veterinary needs!

Warner West Pet Clinic is wonderful — very caring and helpful staff. When our 16-​year-​old dog Porkchop passed away, my boyfriend and I did not know where to turn — he had recently moved away from our other vet. Warner West Pet Clinic took care of Porkchop with dignity and care. They even gave us a sweet paw print. It was such a nice touch that we were not expecting.
Since then, we have since adopted a cat from Warner West. She was actually turned in as a kitten the day Porkchop passed, and we adopted her a week later. This clinic has since provided our cat it’s care. Their prices are reasonable and they do a great job at explaining every treatment/​process.
A special thanks to Carrie at the front desk for all of her help with Annie’s adoption process as well as being so considerate when we brought in Porkchop.

We were new to the area and our kitty was having some dental issues that needed to be addressed quickly. He’s a terrible car traveler so we needed to find someone close to home. I saw Warner West on Unilocal and decided to try them. We’re glad we did! The front office staff is very friendly both on the phone and in person and Dr. Brink was thorough and fair. We got an estimate, but our little guy needed more teeth removed than previously thought. The Dr. called me herself once they put him under and went over exactly what else he was going to need. I figured the estimate we were given would go right out the window, but she stayed pretty darn close to it even with the added extractions. I felt confident leaving him in her care and after a week of medication, he was back to his normal playful self. I’m so thankful we found Warner West and Dr. Brink!

My puppy just got spayed here at Warner West, and they treated her great. It seemed she was in NO pain whatsoever when I picked her up later that day. Dr. karen explained what I should expect for next few days so I didn’t need to be overly stressed. I was nervous about the surgery itself but over all, it was not a bad experience for me and my puppy. Especially, the pain medication they provided was chewable, and I didn’t have any trouble giving her that, even when she had no appetite post-​surgery. Also I received a follow-​up phone call from clinic asking how my puppy was doing. They do care. and my puppy has been a happy girl just as before the surgery.
Aside from the surgery experience, I’d like to mention that this clinic never keeps people waiting. Everytime I walk in, within 5 minutes, my dog is seen by the doctor. As long as you have an appointment, you don’t need to wait at all even on Saturdays and it is a big plus! I think Warner West is the best clinic in HB!

We used another Vet for years in Huntington Beach and when we got a new Lab a friend referered us to Dr. Brink at Warner West. We love the service and the one on one time she gives us. Our baby has ear problems and allergies and she has been able to control the problem. We love Dr. Brink!

Glad I didn’t let the one bad review keep me from trying this Clinic. Last week a different Vet told me that my cat was going to die. Today the doctor told me my cat was going to live. Gave my cat some medication and when I got home, my cat ate everything in her plate — just like when she was a kitten. I hope this improvement is permanent.
I liked the fact that this clinic is busy, but not so busy that I have to wait in a lobby full of animals. They also have a very cool house cat watching over everything.

I don’t know who the other reviewers met but the vet I met was a B. She talked down to me as if I was an idiot. Whatever. The only nice thing about this place were the receptionists. Don’t get me started on the prices either…

We took our beagle Mollie here for some blood work because she wasn’t eating for a few days and found out she had severe Kidney failure. Dr. Brink was very helpful in giving us our options. Most of all she didn’t force us to do an expensive treatment that will not work and recommended we should stop our dog from suffering and put her to sleep. I was scared and confused because i’ve never had to make that decision, but Dr. Brink reassured me we are doing the right thing for our Mollie. I’m very thankful we had a Vet who cared about the animals and the owners. She didn’t try to make more money for unnecessary treatments.

I have had some nightmare experiences with vets before. Let me say that Dr. Karen, and the nice lady that helps her out, on I think Tuesdays, are exceptional!
They are fair, kind and understanding. I have yet to find another like her. They truly understand times are tuff.
Take your pet. You will get a doctor that cares. She knows when to tell you it’s out of her league, and when you may need a specialist!
She’s a class act!
Her staff is just as kind. They remember you! It’s really a nice refreshing change to be in a vets office like this one!

First off, Thank you, Dr Brink & staff!
I am quite partial to Dr Brink for her dedication to our pets & us as owners. I was fortunate enough to have found this clinic back when I lived in Huntington Beach. I first took my dog Roxy, a 3 month old Rott mix, she was a stray i found at the local pound in Orange. Roxy was treated like the queen she would become. After a couple years with Roxy she got really sick. She was unable to hold down any liquids or solids. She was losing weight daily. Dr. Brink was stumped, she tried literally everything known to man to fix my girl. we were nearing a point that I would NEVER wish upon my worst enemy, making the decision to put down a family member. Well thank god for Dr Brinks dedication & determination to find Roxy some help, because she found the problem & diagnosed her with Mega Esophagus. The nerve ending in the throat had died & were not communicating to the brain that food or liquids were passing through. Once Roxy started her medication& had found her appetite again we were able to move forward again. It would be a few years later that we needed the doctor to work her magic again, Roxy was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. Unfortunately, that would not happen, we tried everything except heart replacement. I took solace in know that on that last day with my girl she would be in my arms warm & safe. Dr. Brink had already set it up so we could be with her until her last breathe & I was… With the comfort of her end being taken care of, I scheduled the most incredible day for Roxy. She went out like a queen, first Steak & egg omelet breakfast, lunch at the Park Bench in Central Park in Huntington Beach & then the rest of the day at Dog Beach.
The lengths we go for our pets is only surpassed by Dr. Brink & her staff and the commitment they deliver to our pets. Thank you for giving me this special memory, I will cherish forever.

It was a sad day in my world, I had to put down my 15 year old dog. I was a wreck. This place not only gave me time to say goodbye, but also let me be present when they put him down. I couldn’t imagine my dog leaving this world scared and with strangers.
A week later, I got a condolence card from the vet.

I was referred to Dr. Karen Brink by coworkers. Every person in my office takes their pets to her; and she was given glowing reviews by each them… and now by me as well!
On our first puppy wellness exam and vaccination appointment Dr. Brink took the time to give me a «puppy orientation.» She went over everything from feeding, crate training, scheduling and even basic puppy training techniques. She patiently answered all my neurotic questions. She also gave me a great puppy starter kit.
What sets Dr. Brink’s office apart from others:
— Great about same day appointments. And we’ve never waited more than 5 minutes to see the doctor.
— Through and attentive, but not excessive. (I have never felt like she was inventing «necessary» tests or exams to increase revenue– as I have with other vets in the past.)
— Never pushes specific products or brands. though the office does have pet nutrition and health care items available.
— She and her staff clearly LOVE animals. Their compassion and enthusiasm is apparent.
— Dr. Brink’s staff is incredibly helpful, sweet and pleasant.
— Prices are reasonable as well.
