Do not get involved with this company on any level. They will take your money and not deliver-​Jason/​Irene/​Hattie will use sub-​contractors who do inferior/​dangerous work. They will make promises and not deliver, they should not be licensed in NYC. They are by far the worse Home Improvement People in the industry. I am complaining to the N.Y. State Attorney General, NYC Dept. of Consumer Affairs, Special Building Investigations Unit-​City of N.Y. They sub contract out to Julio Mundo Dyckman Plumbing. R and T Electrical Corp. Wen B Chen, and Alex from C-​South in Maspeth, NY.

Home Beyond Center is a total scam. Their so-​called project manager, Jason, is really the boss, but won’t admit to it because he wants to skirt the responsibility of dealing with unhappy customers. They pretend to be a professional, knowledgeable, and responsible company, but that’s far from the truth. They demand over half to ²⁄₃ of the payment before any work is done. They subcontract to people who don’t know what they are doing. When they do work, they cut corners as much as possible. They don’t follow codes or regulations, and their work could not pass inspections — repeatedly. The «project manager» doesn’t oversee or check on his worker’s work. Even if he did, he wouldn’t know how to check because the truth is that he has no experience. He’s never worked as a contractor and doesn’t care enough to learn.
There are too many flaws in their renovation of our house to list, but a few important ones were gas leak that failed inspection and that they were never able to find or correct; plumbing not done correctly, including poorly connected pipes in the bathroom that led to water leaks; shower floors not constructed with sufficient and correct materials to prevent water leak; and HVAC installed without proper permits and without the proper duct work.
They also have no ethics. My house was completely ruined by them, but they don’t really care. As an example, they did not shut off the water main during the winter time and caused a pipe to burst with flooding in my basement and damaged all the new walls, insulation, and ceilings. They wouldn’t admit to responsibility and asked us for more money to pay them to fix the basement. Our home insurance was able to reimburse us for the damage, and they in turn went after Home Beyond Center. Our insurance company found them at fault 100% as the general contractor who was supposed to take care of our house but neglected to perform the necessary steps to prevent pipes from bursting. Additionally, they initially used hollow wooden door for the boiler/​gas room, but only changed it to metal when our insurance agent pointed it out that it was out of code and dangerous to the inhabitants. They also refused to finish the basement without more money and stalled the progress, which eventually led to molding in our basement. They don’t care about the welfare of their clients.
After one of the inspections – it failed, not surprisingly – the inspector spoke with us privately about the work done by Home Beyond Center and basically said that he is really concerned that everything done in the house was done wrong. It was at that point that we realized Home Beyond Center was a big mistake. We hired an attorney and immediately fired them.
Bottom line: AVOID AT ALL COST. Home Beyond Center will be getting a lawsuit from us once my new contractor fixes all the shoddy work that they did and we know the true extent of the damage done to our house.

A friend of mine recommend this place to me. I am very satisfied with their one-​stop shop solutions. they help me to design and remodeled my outdated bathroom and a kitchen. I definitely will use them again for my next project.

I was surprised that they worked fine and satisfied a picky guy like my husband. We had nothing to say but just appreciated after moved into our new renovated apartment. We checked details of the work and materials they put in and installed, we thought there would be some flaws which we could complain but there wasn’t. .well I mean we are more than happy to their services and definitely will recommend to others.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! I did not want to give it one star, but it won’t post, so I had to give it a star.
I gave them a decent project to work on my house, just paint whole house, basement, new kitchen, new bathroom. I can not believe this.
1.) They only painted everything with ONE COAT OF PAINT. I can see see the old color, which was baby blue… I had some stains in my master and asked them to paint it (obviously paint the whole house), the stains are still there today!!! The closets were NOT painted, it was still in baby blue! Didn’t I just ask them to paint the WHOLE HOUSE???
2.) They painted over the electrical outlets and they had the nerves to ask ME to purchase them to replace it, since its THEIR fault???
3.) Basement– totally unbelievable… it was probably better looking being left alone. They painted it with ONLY ONE COAT, and you can see some paint cracking already… The floor was all covered with paint– UNPROFESSIONAL
4.) Living room/​dining room– wall paint was still ONE COAT, along with paint cracks that were not fixed
5.) I asked them to install a new door for my bedroom, the door is A CHEAP DOOR and it already BROKE! — cutting corners everywhere!
6.) My main floor bathroom– DID NOT EVEN CHANGE MY SHOWERHEADS!
7.) WORST OF ALL— LEFT ALL THE GARBAGE IN MY HOUSE! I HAD TO CLEAN UP EVERYTHING, AND MORE GARBAGE IN MY GARAGE!!!
RESULTS: WE ARE NOT ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER, WE THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS FAIR UNTIL MANAGER CALLS AND KEPT ADDING ON THE PRICE, «THIS WAS NEEDED, THAT WAS NEEDED». OKAY THATS FINE BUT AT LEAST LIVE UP TO THE PRICE AND GIVE ME SOME NICE WORK… EVERYTIME SHE CALLS, «WE NEED THE NEXT PAYMENT». ALL I HEAR IS MONEY MONEY MONEY, AND CUTTING CORNERS EVERYWHERE, EVEN THE MOST BASIC ON PAINT???
We would never use them again nor recommend anyone. This is the worst experience ever… I rather pay someone more and get the job done CORRECTLY than have all this stress and still need to do touch up to the house. I just hired someone else to REPAINT THE WHOLE HOUSE!!! Thanks to Home Beyond Center… After they collected the last payment and left me a mess, they were like running out the door… DISAPPOINTED, but will never get any businesses from me!!! Thanks :)
