I built my 1^st pond with my father when I was 16 living in Massapequa NY.

I worked at various landscape construction firms including London landscape and Atlantic nursery.

I then had the opportunity to get into the technology field and designed video games for 20 years for companies like Acclaim, Ecko Entertainment, Yoostar, U&I Entertainment etc.

No matter what I was doing, i was always dreaming about my favorite hobby, Koi and building ponds. I started koimar​ket​.com in 2006 so I could keep one foot in the door in the koi hobby while still making video games. Eventually, the business got large enough for us to expand into retail, then into construction and now I am 100% dedicated to the pond hobby.
