History
Established in 2011.
River and Rail Bakery opened in March, 2011. The bakery originally opened with a focus on coffee and espresso beverages, and freshly baked bread and European pastries.
Since that time, we’ve added lunch service, emphasizing unique flavor combinations and keeping a portion of the lunch menu vegan and vegetarian.
As we continue to grow, we’ve added catering (off-site and on-site).

I’ve always loved cooking and baking for my friends and family. In 2010, I found myself with an empty nest, looking for a new purpose in life. While attending Create Huntington’s «Chat and Chew» sessions, I learned of an effort to revitalize Heritage Station. The site, formerly a train depot, had always fascinated me. As I toured the buildings at Heritage Station, the concept for the bakery solidified, and I began working on the dream immediately.
