Floyd’s Barbeque

I seen the reviews for this place and would give it a try. I arrived about 4 – 430 pm, i didnt know it was a drive thru until i walked up to a window next to a menu. It’s location looked pretty run down to me. So i ordered
A rib plate and was informed they were all out, they only had chicken and pulled pork left. So i ordered a pulled pork plate with fried okra and fries. When i received it the styrofoam plate it came in was hot! Drove back to my motel and ate it there. When i opened it, the plate was stuffed so much it could barely close. The pulled pork and cole slaw was seperated by an aluminum foil to keep from mixing all the juices to the fries and okra. It also came with two slices of bread. I must say this pulled pork plate was juicy and just the right texture! It had a slight hint of smoke in it it made my day!

Best BBQ in north Alabama. Ribs, chicken, pulled pork and an excellent hot BBQ sauce that pairs perfectly with a heaping scoop of slaw on your pork sandwich. There’s nothing like it anywhere around. The smoker here must be 30+ years old, needless to say its well seasoned from all the local hickory wood and drippins. And for a real treat, get the Mississippi baked beans and drive yourself crazy trying to figure out whats in them. Unbelievable! (BTW personally I think its grape jelly but Floyd ain’t telling).
Drive thru only, pays to call ahead to make sure they’re open.

Excellent pork sandwich. Lines are usually long and their hours of operation are limited but worth the wait. It’s drive thru only. Treat yourself to one of the best pork sandwiches in town.
