I really wanted to like and support a local business, but it wasn’t meant to be. I really feel like they took advantage of my fiancé and gave him bad advice and suggestions on what to purchase. When we went to look at bands (6 months after purchase,) it was quite clear compared to the others that mine was yellow when it shouldn’t have been. Just an all around bad experience there. When someone is buying an engagement ring, it’s an incredibly sensitive subject for the future wife to discuss anything wrong with the ring. In my opinion, you just sell great rings/​jewelry and then you don’t put any couples in that situation. It’s not fun nor comfortable for anyone when it should be one of the greatest events in your lifetime.
Even when I visited to look for my future hubby’s ring, I asked a few questions about the size to the girl behind the counter. She would reply, «well I don’t know I’m actually just Pandora.» After not knowing the answer to a few of my questions, she should have said, «let me get someone who can better help you.» Instead I just asked questions to get several unsure responses which were not helpful.
UPDATE: So I’ve gotten more info on this now that a bit more time has passed. When we realized how discolored the ring was. He tried to refund it. They said no. He tried to use it to upgrade it, they refused to do it without ripping him off. The ring he bought only months earlier, they would not upgrade without taking a massive chunk of money off what he spent on it. There was no concern or anything for the original piece. I can’t imaging that anyone would upgrade a ring there even considering their policy on that which I assume is along the lines of just take every penny you can get from the person shopping. I can’t express my disappointment in this place. It must be a nice business taking advantage of people who just want to do anything and everything for the person they love most.
