I needed a book in a hurry for my sons book parade. They not only had it and held it for me the lady was soooooo nice and helpful. She is truly a blessing. When someone loves their job… it shows. I wish I had caught her name… cause she definitely is an awesome asset to this library! Thank you!!!

The Huntsville Public library has a modest collection of books, audio books, and DVDs. It’s small, but can you really expect more from a small town library? There’s tons of fiction novels, and a few popular self-help books. The audio books hardly filled a row of shelves, but I’m sure there’s enough to tickle anyone’s fancy. They even offer books for Kindle(how that works, I’m not sure). There’s computers, study rooms, tables, and comfy chairs. There’s several services including beginning Spanish, Rosetta Stone access, English-as-a-Second-Language classes, and citizenship classes. In order to sign up for a library card, you have to bring in a photo ID and a piece of mail to confirm your address(’cause they gonna FINE you). Everything is rather simple, and it only takes ~5 minutes. Their hours: Mon 9am-6pm Tues 10am-6pm Wed 9am-6pm Thurs 10am-7pm Fri 8am-5pm Sat 12pm-4pm Their summer hours are slightly more extensive, so be aware that the hours may change according to seasons. All in all, it’s a great community library. If you really want a greater selection, go donate to them, ’cause these public places sure ain’t free!
