History

Established in 2003.

We use methods that teach your dog what you want them to do intead of concentrating on what you don’t want them to do — by rewarding all the correct behaviors, these behaviors become good manners — by using science-​based methods that utilize Operant Conditioning, Classical Conditioning, Premack’s Prinicpal, Calming Signals, Counter Conditioning, Desensitizing and proper body language — you will learn to teach your dog how to become a happy, healthy member of your household. Training your dog never stops — but the good news is that by training your dog with the correct training techniques, it doesn’t feel like you’re training at all because it’s fun!

Business Owner

Wendy Dek, the trainer behind Canine Advanced Training Services, has been conducting puppy pre-​schools and basic obedience classes since 1989. Her skill set and knowledge has been accessed by Victoria Stilwell (It’s Me or the Dog) and is a Victoria-​licensed Positively Trainer. She holds her Dog Obedience Instructors Certificate (an Australian Qualification) as well as a being a Qualified Veterinary Nurse. (Veterinary Technician).
