In and out with a check in hand in under an hour.
I showed up with an ’07 Camry with about 90K miles in decent condition. After a 15 minute inspection an offer was provided. It was maybe 5% under KBB but I figured it was acceptable since this process was far easier than selling privately. I handed over my title, ID and the keys and maybe 30 – 40 minutes later a nice woman came out with some paperwork to sign and a live check. There were no hidden fees, no tricks. To me, the price was very fair and the process was extra simple.
The interior was clean and bright. There was plenty of «busy items» like magazines, a TV, and comfortable seating while we waited. I will admit that the location was in a peculiar spot– it was a little tricky getting into the lot. Other than that, my CarMax experience was a very good one.

This place absolutely sucks! They supposedly give you the price for your car that they would get at the auction. The guy that I had look at my car could care less about all the upgrades and all the new stuff I had on my car. Stay away from this place!
