The absolute best studio there is. Master Valdez brings out the best in kids. The classes are wonderful, the instruction is clear and well taught! The parents are friendly and the atmosphere is very pro-​kid! We were very welcomed and love being there!

Absolutely a top notch dojo. Master Valdez works exceptionally well with kids, and as other reviewers have said, his lessons go way beyond mastering taekwondo. Facility and equipment is in very good condition, all the black belts cooperate to train the lower belts, and the atmosphere encourages critical thinking and improvisation, not route learning. The learned forms are, in general, more advanced than other schools for any given belt, and sparring is well supervised and technique driven. My fiancé’s son is having the time of his life… I cannot recommend this academy enough.

Excel Academy is an excellent program for any young child. We enrolled our 4 year old in the academy after his obsession with Ninja Turtles on T.V. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised with each class. Master Valdez is an excellent teacher of Tae Kwon Do demanding the respect of the students. Our son has begun a transformation into a focused, disciplined child. No longer is he participating to be like a Ninja Turtle, he is participating because he wants to earn a higher belt. After returning from a trip, my son was telling me what to do if approached by a stranger. I asked where he learned this lesson and he responded Master Valdez. The class is not just about martial arts but also learning life lessons. Other lessons learned are memorizing home address and parent phone number. How to call 911 in case of emergency. How to respect your parents. The list goes on and on. Highly recommend the academy to any parent looking to involve their child in an activity that improves physical fitness, discipline, focus, work ethic, life skills go see Master Valdez. Your child can participate in the first class for free, if they like it they can enroll for more lessons. It’s a win win for you and your child.

My two sons have been taking Tae Kwon Do at Excel Academy for 5 months now and I am more than pleased with the experience. Not only are they learning something new, having never taken any martial arts before, they have both improved in behavior, confidence and are learning life lessons. Master Valdez is an incredible teacher, with the perfect mix of patience, heart and discipline. All the employees of the school are top notch as well. It’s incredible watching all the kids’ confidence and abilities grow. They teach all ages from 4 up. We look forward to TKD class each week, and the pricing is great and includes unlimited classes.
