My husband bought some fudge here last week. We went in this weekend to get some and I noticed that the man cutting and boxing the fudge we ordered was putting his ungloved hands all over it! Disgusting!
2 stars because the fudge last week was good, but I feel like vomiting now knowing we ate it with his gross hands all over it. Isn’t that against the law?!

The fudge here was good, and nothing special, but reminiscent of shops in South Jersey. The sales guy seemed to be in a rush and when I asked to try something, he gave me a gruff «we don’t usually do that here» before giving me a sample. I got the Oreo Cookie (actual Oreos encased in vanilla fudge) and the Rocky Road with walnuts. It seemed quite expensive, but it was good.

I was surprised to learn from the owner that he’s an offshoot of the Original Fudge Kitchen string of shops in the south Jersey shore (Cape May, Stone Harbor, Ocean City…). The fudge was on par with the excellent fudge offered in those south jersey shops.
Friendly owners, excellent fudge. Nice variety. Homemade peanut butter cup was also great.

I took my first whiff as soon as I walked through the door and immediately knew I was not going to leave empty handed. (In my version of heaven, it will smell just like this!)
Now while I love chocolate in all of its forms, I was in search of a bon bon or a truffle. Usually I’m not much of a fudge fan but when in Rome (or Cape Cod)…
I ended up purchasing ¼lb of chocolate pb fudge and ¼lb of coconut fudge. (The latter turned out to be my favorite!) It turned out to be the smoothest, meltiest fudge I have ever tried. Until now, I didn’t think I really liked fudge. Consider me a convert.
(And if you’re on my Christmas list, you know what you’ll be getting.)
