Incredible location! Just spent the weekend here for a Girls’ Getaway and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a place to «recharge» your battery while sitting at the edge of the creek, sitting cozy in front of the fire, or taking one of the many nature walks/​hikes this is for you.
Great amenities and «five star» service from the Office! Can’t wait to return.

I was extremely stressed and needed a place To take me away from that. At the get go Nathan was so sweet and informative at time of check in. He was so articulate about the town and what we could possibly do. Any questions were addressed with compassion and with patience. The accommodations were fully appointed although we did have a cook top with no pans which added confusion. Not that I needed them because they had everything including glass wear and even a wine opener. Their cleaning products were nice and the shower was nice… Cramped but nice.
I just have to say that even though the squirrels were sweet, it became apparent they were not as sweet as time went on and they became a nuisance after a while. Not feeding then was became apparent. I suggest no peanuts guys. Although sweet, it’s gross. Poop everywhere.
I honestly would like to stay here again. With no concern. So clean. Oh. And the memory foam mattress didn’t hurt. Thanks guys for a nice time. Xoxo. Nathan

Loved the place! The cabin was very clean and cute and the staff was fantastic. They leave peanuts in every room for the squirrels, which is one of the most entertaining parts of the place.
There were a couple things different from what I expected. The property was very quiet and large but it’s in a neighborhood. The queen cabins are tandem/​share a wall with another cabin. I kept hearing noise and didn’t realize it was because we were sharing a wall. The cabins are also somewhat close together — we could see the balcony of the next cabin over. If I were visiting with a group or for a wedding this might be a plus.
It still feels like a cabin in the mountains. The price is really great for what you get, too. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here through Living Social. I really thought the part owner Marc did a really good job explaining all of the different places to go in explicit detail. It really helped us decide where we were going to hike or eat that day. The cabins are placed next to the creek and there are beautiful bluejays and squirrels every where. We got the Queen 1 bedroom upgrade which is the perfect size for two people. You can sit on your balcony and listen to the sounds of nature and feed the squirrels and birds with nuts provided by the inn. The cabin we stayed in was amazing. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing that could make the cabins better is that the bathroom could use some renovation. But we loved it here and can’t wait to come back.

We stayed for one night and loved it. Wish we could have stayed longer but we were just up here for the weekend to get out of the city. Check in was quick and easy. Nathan at the front desk was very organized and accommodating. We were unsure if we were going to make it up here before the 2 – 5 check in time and he was very quick to email me with the after hours check in details. He even took the time to show us the towns key points on the map and even gave us some restaurant recommendations. He also walked us to our cabin! Our room was great, cozy and it had an amazing little view of strawberry creek off our back deck. Room came with a free duraflame log for our fireplace which we loved! The bed was extremely comfy and they even had a memory foam & down pillow which I believe we’re hypoallergenic. Room also included some aromatherapy spray if you’re into that! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. There were a few small things that dated the place or that needed to be fixed or replaced but nothing big. 5 stars for our view, bed, cozy room and genuine kindness of Nathan.

We loved our stay here this weekend. The staff was friendly, pointing out the things to see in town and where to eat and shop! We loved waking up to the creek view from our balcony! First thing in the morning we noticed the squirrels and birds, which came right to our deck to be fed the peanuts they leave in a bag in the room! They had so much snow two days before our arrival but everything was perfect and it just added to view! We look forward to coming back in spring and purchased one of the hand thrown pottery mugs to take home!

This was our second visit to both Idyllwild and the Quiet Creek Inn. We had a wonderful two-​night stay. We love the peacefulness, serenity and tranquility of the property. The cabins our wonderful and Idyllwild is a perfect place to visit for a close get-​away from San Diego. The town is rustic, the restaurants very-​good and it is wonderful that a town would have a golden retriever for the mayor, since many of us have had 2-​legged dogs as mayor.
We were in Cabin 10 which has a king-​size bed, living room and wrap around deck. We love to feed the squirrels when they come around late in the afternoon. The staff is very helpful with their recommendations.
Whenever we come to Idyllwild, we intend to stay at Quiet Creek.

We stayed here for one night and had a great time. It was raining all day and night so we didn’t have a lot of time to explore but we were able to take the trail down the creek with my 2 kids (4,2) and mom (69) it was easy to walk (minus the barb fence) and although the creek was dry the trees were wonderful.
My kids LOVED feeding the squirrels!!! They had a HUGE kick. The heater in the room was wonderful for a very cold night!!!

Luxury forest cabins to relax: We enjoyed our wonderful relaxing 2 night stay in a very comfortable king suite, cabin #10. The great attention to detail, beautiful cabin was sparkling clean and equipped with all the amenities of a luxury forest getaway. It included a kitchenette with coffee maker, microwave, toaster, dishes, two burner stove and sink. Also provided were coffee mugs, a nice cable TV, and a cozy fire place with a «duraflame» log for each night of our stay. The couch and rocking chair were very comfortable. The bath had a modern clean shower, lavatory, luxurious soaps, fluffy towels and two robes for lounging. Our king suite included a large wraparound patio with comfortable chairs and umbrella. The views, forest smells and entertaining wildlife were relaxing and perfect for our getaway. We arrived at 2pm. Christine checked us in, did the usual paper work and then walked us over to the cabin. She gave us a brief tour with helpful instructions and then turned over the key. Everything was enjoyable including the check-​in. The password for the wifi was provided by email before our arrival. The strong wifi signal throughout our stay was appreciated. Parking was convenient with a trolley cart provided to help us move the baggage to our cabin. They even provided a small bag of peanuts «for the squirrels» which turned into great fun watching their antics and excitement. We loved the birds, especially the large number of Steller’s Jays, wood peckers, hawks and several others. About 50 feet behind our cabin runs Strawberry Creek, fairly low on water in October but a pleasure to sit in the provided creekside chairs and enjoy the leisure. In the common area is a «barn» rec room with table, chess set, couches, tea, microwave and popcorn. A hammock hangs near the «barn» as well as the provided horseshoes and pits. Nice sidewalks and lighting made it easy to return to our cabin after sundown. Sometimes the reviews on TripAdvisor and Unilocal are spot on like this great place to stay. Easy 5 stars, six if allowed. We loved our stay and definitely will return. Fantastic.

It was a rainy weekend which made for a perfect stay. We moved the outside deck umbrella next to the sliding door so every time we opened it we were able to sit outside without getting wet and enjoyed the beautiful rain, while feeding the squirrels. The town was like out of a magical little book, where everyone was super nice. My son did not want to leave and we will come back with friends. The creek the trees, the nature around us was exactly what we needed.

Place is nice, but service left a lot to be desired. The bed wasn’t made and to top it off, they were going to charge $ 25 + shipping for something I left behind in the room that would have costed one postage stamp to mail back to me.

I’m typing this review as we reluctantly leave from Cabin 10. We were going to stay 2 nights, but after one night, we quickly booked an extra night.
Such a spectacular time we had.
friendly staff, and they treated my wife to wine & chocolates because it was her birthday.
we really don’t want to leave!

We love Idyllwild to get away, relax and baste in the beauty. This is the place to stay if you want relaxation and the beauty of nature.
Perfect is the only way to describe it. We stayed in a Queen Studio which included a very comfortable bed with amazing sheets and pillows. Fireplace with one log per night, a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, cookware, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Perfect! So much more than we expected! It also had a private balcony attached to it which faced Strawberry Creek and the beautiful forest.
There are chairs set up at various points along the creek for you to relax in. There is a barn filled with DVDs that are free to borrow as well as games you can play. There was also a stove and microwave available in the barn.
The staff is friendly, especially the sweet housekeeper! The grounds are a certified bird & wildlife habitat so expect to see lots of blue birds, cottontail rabbits, squirrels and more.
Can’t wait to go back!

We took a family weekend vacation here last year and then again about a month ago.
The owners are really nice guys who try to make sure you are happy and comfortable. You can tell they really care about this place and their customers. They also make delicious fresh hot apple cider in the winter time and it’s fantastic. I would stay here just for the cider!
The grounds are what makes this place really stand out. It really is amazing. We went hiking for a couple hours one day and just enjoyed the surroundings. It’s really beautiful and peaceful and just terrific if you need an escape from city life.
As much as we all loved it here, please be advised that this is not a luxury cabin. If you are after a luxury suite, try somewhere else. That being said, you don’t come to a place like this looking for a 60 inch flat screen or a jacuzzi tub with a billion jets. The 20 inch TV and the tiny showers are just fine once you get used to it.
Cell phone coverage is also very intermittent, but that’s kind of nice if you are trying to escape from work. Wi-​Fi works great if you still want to stay connected to the outside world.
The guest lounge is kind of a waste since there is not really anything in there that can’t be done in your own cabin. Other than that not really any amenities worth mentioning.
Bottom line: if you need a place a to stay while your in Idyllwild or you need a relaxing getaway from city life, this place can’t be beat!

I love this place!!! The owners couldn’t have picked a better name! It was such a beautiful, cute, quiet place to stay. We came here for our honeymoon! The owners were extremely nice and welcoming and we felt like we were at home. Our cozy cabin was right on the creek and we had a fireplace in our living room. We are definitely going to make this an annual trip and we will be staying at Quiet Creek Inn in the future!
There is a mini fridge, 2 stove top burners, tea, plates, utensils, cups, even wine glasses. Squirrels come up to the balcony and Quiet Creek provides peanuts in a brown paper bag to feed the squirrels! Lol, it’s probably best to toss the peanuts to the squirrels instead of hand feed them. One bit my finger Hahaha, it didn’t break the skin though. They aren’t shy little buggers, they will come up to your patio door in search of peanuts.
We had fires in the fireplace every evening and even woke up to snow on our last day!
I can’t say enough great things about this place. I had a wonderful time with my husband and can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I found this gem while looking for a forest location for our June 2014 wedding. At our first meet (1 of 3) Marc showed us around the property, the rooms, barn, deck, and the beautiful strawberry creek. I was impressed with the amount of information Marc provided, not only about his business but also the charming little town of Idyllwild. You can tell Marc and Nathan are really passionate about their Inn and community. After carefully going through our very small budget (compared to most weddings now a days) we decided to book!
Our second meeting was at the Inn with vendors. Again, Marc was very accommodating to us and our visitors. I went through plans with vendors and then included Marc with the finalized plans to make sure everything was in accordance with our contract. The most important thing that I learned through planning a wedding is to keep your vendors, location and party as informed as possible. I made sure to read every piece of paper carefully and ask as many questions as I felt necessary. Marc and Nathan were always very attentive with all my questions and many phone calls.
And finally the third meet, our wedding day! It was the most special day of my life, everything a girl could hope and dream of. Marc and Nathan, made a huge impression on our overnight guests, their warm welcome still has them talking and remembering these two special guys.
If you are looking for unique wedding venue and wedding experience this is the place! We can’t wait to come back every year to celebrate our anniversary. Quiet Creek Inn holds a dear place in our hearts forever.

We drove about two hours to spend one night at Quiet Creek Inn and it was the perfect mini vacation.
Upon check in, Nathan offered us cookies and gave us a quick overview of the businesses and hiking in the area along with a map where he highlighted his favorite places. He then took us on a short tour of the Inn and showed us our room.
We stayed in a Queen Studio which included a queen size bed with amazing sheets and pillows, a fireplace that included one log per night, a small kitchenette that included a refrigerator, cookware, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. It also had a private patio attached to it. The patio faced Strawberry Creek and, although it had dried up, it was still very beautiful.
There are chairs set up at various points along the creek for you to relax in as well as a hammock, which I absolutely adored. QCI also has a barn filled with DVDs and VHS you can rent for free as well as games you can play. They also had a stove and microwave available in the barn. Additionally, the staff gives you peanuts to feed the squirrels and birds and its very fun to see the wildlife up close.
They two «downsides» and they weren’t even really negatives for me was the lack of cell phone reception and the fact that we couldn’t get the wifi to work. However, Nathan warned us that Macbooks tend to have issues connecting to their wifi and so we didn’t try too hard to make it work. I’m sure if you really needed it to, the office staff would be more than willing to help you. For me, it was very nice to disconnect from the world for the day.
Overall, the area was absolutely beautiful and I definitely want to stay again in the future.

Room was clean and everything was in working order.
I received bag of raw peanuts at the time of check-​in,
I truly enjoyed feeding the gray squirrels and Steller’s Jay!
Also, saw couple of Brush rabbits running around the property
and they are so cute!
This place is approx. one mile away from restaurants, shopping, and
gas stations in the area.
Strawberry Creek runs through the property and offers awesome
photo ops.
Would I return? You bet!

I’ve traveled the world over, spending nights with accommodations ranging from a lean-​to in the middle of the wilderness, to 5 star resorts in yuppieville (I much prefer the former). And now that my travel cred has been established (or not) I have to say that my experience at the Quiet Creek Inn will stay with me for the rest of my life, or until my memory fails.
Now that my mostly unnecessary introduction is done I can get to the good stuff (forgive me, I write for a living).
I absolutely cannot speak more highly of the Quiet Creek Inn. Nathan and Mark were the most friendly, hospitable, knowledgeable, considerate, and all around awesome hosts I have ever experienced in the hospitality industry. The location itself is stunning, and I visited it in the height of a brutal California drought. I can only imagine how breathtaking it will be after a nice rain shower or two.
Allow me to set the scene… It’s Valentine’s weekend and I want to treat my incredibly hard-​working wife to a surprise getaway. And by getaway I mean away from everything urban, including cellphone reception (not completely). I find the Quiet Creek Inn and it immediately perks my interest since I have fond memories of Boy Scout outings at the neighboring BSA campground. So I immediately book a couple nights in a one bedroom suite after being swooned by images of pine trees, a meandering stream, and rustic cabin offering nothing but tranquility.
Due to time constraints with our schedules, I requested a late check-​in. My assumption was that we would show up after hours and receive our key from a late night concierge. But I was wrong… so wrong. The day of our check-​in I received a call at work from Nathan. He explained to me how their late check-​in process works. Basically you show up and your designated cabin will be unlocked with the key sitting next to the TV. In addition, he mentioned that the heat would be turned on prior to our arrival so we wouldn’t have to endure a possibly uncomfortable defrosting period.
Upon arrival our cabin was unlocked and heated as promised. It was cozy and perfect! The first thing I noticed was a brown bag with «For the Squirrels» written in Sharpie on it.
The highlights of the cabin itself were the immensely comfortable bed, vaulted ceilings, spacious living room with comfy couch and real wood fireplace, private balcony overlooking the creek, and kitchenette.
In all honesty, Mark and Nathan are what makes this place a true gem. Yes there are immaculate accommodations, yes there is beautiful scenery, yes it is away from the hustle and bustle of city life. But what makes this place worth every dollar (and millions more) is the stellar service you will enjoy when staying at the Quiet Creek Inn. Thank you so much guys! Nikki and I had a trip that we’ll never forget!
