History
Established in 2008.
When my partner and I left Portland, Oregon to move to the Long Beach Peninsula in the middle of freezing January it was a very spontaneous move. I took the opportunity to change my career also. Why not? So, pretty much on a whim I developed a business plan and 6 months later the Raven & Finch was born! Now I look out onto the port, boats and bay everyday and remind myself how lucky we are.

Raised on a Pennsylvania Dutch diet of pickled pigs feet, scrapple, tripe, chow-chow and dandelion wine, I came to the Northwest in search of a college degree. Not only did I find the degree (in graphic design at the University of Oregon), but I also rescued my palate upon discovering the fresh, local delights of Northwest cuisine. Beyond my hobbies as a self-professed foodie, accomplished cook, world traveler, and confessed restaurant «hauntress», I managed a successful graphic design studio in Portland. But when I discovered Ilwaco, I was inspired by the quiet peace of the port and the eagles soaring over my home to open a unique place called Raven & Finch.
