History

Established in 1999.

Boca Rio in translation is river mouth, where the river meets the ocean. There are many places in the world where it can be found, but Boca Rio in Imperial Beach is by far one of the greatest surfing spots. The name was derived from the very spot we would spend endless summer days boogie boarding and surfing waves. If one could surf Imperial Beach one could surf anywhere.

With that being said the name Boca Rio was very appropriate in the sense of bringing a fresh, new look and business into the sea of marketing and apparel. The sense of community, hard-​working environment, and unbeatable prices are what Boca Rio strives to accomplish in everyday business. We would also like to thank all our customers for doing business with us because it is truly a pleasure to see our work bring a smile to the community. Boca Rio has been in business for 13 years, and still, continues to rapidly grow.

After 13 years in the making I am proud to be able to say we are still growing rapidly. Grown and raised in Imperial Beach Boca Rio was made from the very essence of childhood memories and the special place everyone can go back to. It is my Boca Rio, as is the other locals in Imperial Beach, and I want to share it with everyone and find out where their Boca Rio is at.
