H&R Block

I give them a 0!!! Me and my husband went during the week after work to file our income taxes. We were scheduled with an older man maybe in his 60s I don’t remember his name sorry. Any who he has the office at the end on the right side if your walking south when you walk in. He seemed like he was in a hurry. Wasn’t helpful at all when we would ask questions. We are NOT tax experts and this is only our second time filing taxes overall so of coarse we have questions we are trying to understand the whole process. My husbands worked several jobs last year I only worked too and we didn’t have our son as a tax exempt so we went to a «tax «specialist» (or so we thought) to try to get the most we could. Well, let’s start off by saying we were wrong ! I was watching him and noticed he was rounding off a lot of the numbers so he wasn’t putting everything exactly as it said in the w2. When he finished inputting all of our w2s and told us we had to pay $ 300 just to file and only get back around 1,000 I was very frustrated ! We are low income cause my husband hasn’t been working and last year we received around 4,000 how is it possible we are only getting $ 1,000 this year? Well apparently he said we made 37,000 in the year so we weren’t getting much back. Last year we did our taxes with Jackson Hewitt they charged the same amount but we got back $ 4,000 so I didn’t mind paying the $ 300 (even though it is a lot) but this year only getting 1,000 why would I pay this much? he said we had too many w2s so he would charge that much. Sounds pretty stupid to me honestly. He was very rude when I was asking him questions and would respond with I don’t work for free type of attitude so we ended up walking out ! Thank god ! My husband the the next day went on turbo tax did all of the same thing he did input all the w2s etc and we are getting back 3,000 and only paying $ 40 to do it ! So when he did all this on turbo tax he noticed the guy from H&R block Input one of my husbands w2s twice so it brought our annual income up $ 10,000 than it really was ! Could you imagine !? Had we said yes and done our income tax ! How much money we wouldn’t have got back ! And I’m pretty sure IRS would have been calling us in a couple months ! Any who ! I do not recommend anyone to go ! Especially with this man ! He does not know what he is doing ! Everything he tried to do you can do yourself and for way cheaper ! Paying someone $ 300 just to type in some info and on top of it all input it wrong ! And he calls himself a «tax specialist «. Be careful to anyone who has done their taxes there make sure you check everything and do not sign anything you don’t feel sure about ! Thank god we went with out conscious this time.

I think this address is wrong, because I believe that H&R Block is now on the corner of 13^th and Palm, next to 7÷11…
Anywho…
I went to the H&R Block at 13^th and Palm and Kelley was my tax-​pro and was super nice and did a fantastic job. I was a student last year and I cannot believe how much money she helped me get back! I recommend anyone go to the office on 13^th and Palm and ask for Kelley!

They missed $ 3,000 on my return, then when I found the problem that THEY made, they said they were going to charge me to refile.
Second look my @$$ they are crooks!!!

Everyone is super nice but I feel like this guy doesn’t know what he’s doing. It makes me nervous and a little frustrated that I might not get everything back…
