Steven Y Luo, DDS

I have been taking my boys here for years. Their office is very clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and understanding, especially with my busy schedule of sometimes having to reschedule appointments. Dr. Steven Luo is the most genuine person and an extremely talented dentist! He is wonderful with children, as he is a great dad as well. I highly recommend Dr. Luo as I trust him completely with our dental care!

First time coming here and u had a wonderful experience. The doctor and his staff are nice and well informative. They are happy to answer any questions you have about your teeth and the equipments they use. The dental hygienist was very nice she give off a good vibe with great energy so you leave there feeling positive and In a great mood. Such a delightful trip to the dentist.

Whoever answers the phone for this practice needs A LOT more training. I told her that I was new to the area and was considering making appointments for my daughter and myself. That does NOT mean that I’m going to agree to schedule X-​rays, cleanings, etc.
I was interested in speaking to the dentist about some concerns, assessing the practice, level of care and customer service, NOT signing up to spend money automatically on X-​rays and cleanings.
How about you ASK what a prospective patients needs are? Or if they have any questions. Sorry, not signing up to create automatic insurance billable so for you. This practice is obviously ALL ABOUT $$$$$$, not patients.

I just got out of my appointment and all I have to say is I will be back and I am planning on making this my dental office. Stephen Luo is a breath if fresh air and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist. I came in with a chipped bonded front tooth and he fixed me up same day as my consultation. Both ladies at the front desk are friendly and professional. I will be back for a cleaning soon. Thank you so much.

CAUTION!!! EXTREMELY NICE! I had an appointment there not too long ago and it was such a fantastic experience. I am originally from a small town and my husband has been stationed out here. I was extremely nervous about finding another dentist but man am I glad I found him! His entire staff is so friendly and answer any and all questions. I love going to places where the employees love their job. I would suggest anyone and everyone to go here.

This is not a dental care review. This review is a human decency review :) I was driving in to work this morning and noticed a scared & dirty dog, so I parked and fed him & gave him water and sat with him until animal control came to pick him up to take him to the pound to get him cleaned up & re-​homed (or back to his home, if he’s lost). I sat outside Dr. Luo’s office with another lady, for over an hour, while we waited with the dog; his office staff were very kind to us & no-​one shooed us away from the business doorstep… THANK YOU!

My wife and I are very glad we found the best dentist office in San Diego County. They have great customer service and the friendliest staff. I have recommended their services to many of my friends’ co-​workers.

These are the nicest, most down-​to-​earth medical personnel I have encountered. I was so impressed with them that I’m writing my first Unilocal review ever! Today was my 1^st appointment with them.
Steffany, the receptionist, is so pleasant to talk to! Honestly, never met a nicer person over the phone. I called to get a feel for their office a few weeks ago when looking for a new dentist, and her helpfulness & cheerfulness (in discussing my insurance, etc.) cemented my decision to choose this office for my dental work. When someone canceled their appointment, she called me twice to offer the vacant spot to see if I wanted to take it.
Christine/​Christen took all my x-​rays and was really chill & gave good vibes. She was professional and answered all my questions.
Dr. Robinson was thorough in her examination of my teeth – asking questiins, answering questions, looking under every crook & cranny of my neglected teeth (2 years without dental insurance), then giving me a detailed analysis of what work needed to be done on each tooth and WHY. I have never had a dentist sit there and take the time to explain the terminology and facts behind what work is needed on my teeth. I felt that she was completely honest with me, and very thorough. Awesome.
On my way out, Steffany took 20 minutes to go over the costs of the procedures I will need. (I’m going to need an onlay in all 4 quadrants of my mouth! Don’t think I’m gross – I have great oral hygiene, it’s just that I grind my teeth!) Where was she when I was figuring out which insurance to choose?! She was SO helpful and explained the advantages/​disadvantages of my insurance in regard to the dental work. You can tell that these people want to help you take care of your teeth, and are not trying to make a quick buck off of you.
I am so incredibly pleased with the treatment I had today. Thank you to the staff – you’re amazing! :)

I’ve been coming here since Dr. Luo has been practicing at this location (5+ years). Even though I have moved further away, I continue to make the drive to see him. He is that good.
Recently, they have acquired some state of the art equipment, some of which allows you to see your dental x-​rays on a computer monitor. It’s always nice to know that your dentist keeps up with technological advances that help improve the quality of patient care.
If your teeth are in need of some quality TLC, where the people are as professional as they are kind, this is the place for you!

Came here with my girlfriend and on our first visit, they had a nice welcome sign with her name on it welcoming her as their newest patient! Wow! that was nice!
Personalized attention, and a warm welcome here. Waiting lobby isnt bad at all either, they had lots of very interesting reading material. The service here is beyond compare, you are treated like family instead of a patient. Located right across the street from Wallys, and CVS in Imperial Beach. always easy parking. Great family dentist. Dr. Luo and Dr. Robinson have a very professional, but friendly practice. The office staff are awesome. They explained my insurance to me and helped me make decisions to utilize it to it’s full potential.
The dental assistant is great. Friendly, and experienced. It’s a very comfortable environment which is really important to me. Overall I am very happy I chose this practice for our family dentistry needs.
