After our bicycle ride around the bike paths of the wetlands we popped in again to ask about a bird species we saw near us. Joyce happened to be there and once again she was very knowledgeable and helpful. My wife bought another cool T-shirt similar to the one she bought last Sunday. It’s worth popping in here to find out some neat stuff.

Great place for a walk and look for wildlife.
In the center they have a lot of cool mock ups and pictures, history, maps, and more.

This is a great way to spend a morning with friends and the kids.
Many walking paths, benches here and there, some trees, and a the Visitor Center itself is very informative and helpful.
It’s FREE, can you believe it?
You park on a gravel lot; off IB Blvd and 4^th. We saw an osprey, great herron, clappers, various ducks and a hawk. The kids just love a dirt trail and to be outside!
I enjoyed the wealth of information available on bird and plant life there.

This place is cool!!! I stumbled on this on a recent run, I never knew it existed. It is a estuary with protected bird and wildlife. You can do guided nature walks or explore on your own. They do summer programs for kids to teach them about the environment. Best of all it’s free!!!
Worth a family trip on some Saturday AM to check it out.
