Absolutely love this place! I’ve been to Indian Rocks twice now and made sure to go both times. The donuts are heavenly — I just had a regular ol’ glazed donut, but it was perfection. The coffee is great. Husband and I also ordered some breakfast sandwiches — they came off the grill piping hot and delicious — and the portion sizes were big for the cheap prices! I highly recommend stopping here!

The donuts are just ok. I don’t understand the high reviews. Was hopeful that the key lime donut would be good. Again, just ok. It’s a filled donut. The filling was like pudding.

One of the best lattes I’ve ever had! We stopped at Lighthouse during our bike ride from Clearwater to Reddington Shores. The donuts taste like they are made with love and the staff was genuinely friendly. Also, the porch is a casual place to enjoy your treats. Worth a stop if you are in the area!

Just had ham egg and cheese on a roll. Microwaved egg… ham ok and really no cheese… very cheap with cheese. they must slice the cheese as thin as wax paper. coffee ok… need to try some other spots for breakfast sandwich…

I am so disappointed after making a stop at the ATM for cash, driving 10 miles to try these donuts, spending said cash, and then throwing most of them away. We stopped in this morning and ordered a ½ dozen donuts to go. The employee helping us was less than friendly and didn’t seem that excited to see us. No «thank you» or anything. As for the donuts: Regular glazed was delicious. Chocolate glazed was stale. The raspberry jelly filled and the Boston crème both had a WEIRD aftertaste — my fiancé and I are arguing over what it is(I say it’s mold, he says it’s chemicals). All the donuts had one bite taken out of them and went in the garbage with the exception of the glazed one. Next time someone suggests Lighthouse donuts, I think I’ll just take a $ 5 bill and light it on fire.

Hey nice place to stop on an early morning bike ride up and down gulf Blvd for an eye-opening cup of Joe. Nice patio outside-bigger than you think inside so on a hot day some relief from the sun. I mean sandwiches and other gimmicks looked good… coffee was fine, employees were nice-I mean this isn’t The Russian Tea Room-it’s coffee and doughnuts and it’s A-OK. WHATDOYOUWANTITS A DOUGHNUTSTAND!

Have to say was there just an hour ago. The doughnuts were dry. Cinnamon roll tasted like regular glazed doughnut. Coffee by far was worst. This place was once good.

Micro parking lot — difficult to get in and out of, but there’s parking across the street. Donuts quite good, especially the apple fritters — usually fresh. Bagels questionable. Not well maintained or clean. Service not overly friendly, even when you leave a tip. It is though convenient to the beach. Cash only.

I love this place!!! The doughnuts are so good here. They offer some unique flavor a while also carrying the common and well loved ones, as well. While it does sell out rather quickly in the morning, it’s because it’s so good! Early bird gets the worm! I will always get doughnuts here every year I’m on vacation.

The location of this shop is so convenient. Our family has been frequenting for donuts over the past ten years. Here’s the thing: don’t expect friendly service nor anything clean. The donuts remain tasty, but I’m surprised at the little effort that goes into making this place even better than it is. Suggestions: make sure you have coffee ready, smile at customers, change the lighting(it’s dingy), and accept debit/credit cards. Get an iPad payment scanner: low cost and you’ll earn more $.

Homemade donuts done right! They have a nice selection of unique flavors, key lime and maple flavored as well as the classics, glazed and sour cream. Get there early as they sell the unique ones fast and there is usually a line out the door. Also being cash, no plastic accepted.

Fresh whole made donuts made very day! This place is to die for. If you are out at Indian Rocks Beach, this is a must go and try. If you live in the area? You should add this to your daily or weekly routine. The apple fritters were incredible. The Boston crème donut was awesome and the chocolate croissant was excellent. Great job!!!

We have been going here every time we have visited in the past four years(6 times in total) and at first it was amazing! Fresh, clean, friendly staff. However after going today the donuts didn’t seem fresh and the indoor eating area was suffocatingly hot– which is not fun on a 90 degree day where you want a break from the heat. However, the staff were friendly enough and the egg sandwiches were made to order which is nice! We will try again later this week and see if the donuts are fresher!

Mediocre coffee, doughnuts tasted on the stale side. Also CASHONLY which isn’t a problem but we were oblivious and the ATM on site was not working, so some courteous onlookers took care of us. It was our own fault but they should probably follow everyone else around town and get a nice app. Anyways, underwhelming to say the least. Good prices, I’d like to think we caught them on a bad day.

Wow… girl taking the order must have a jearing problem. Had to tell jer the order 3 times. The guy making the food throws it up on the counter and starts jabbering something. Our order was wrong so I took it back. They were out of plain bagels.(At 9AM) No apologies for the order being wrong. So i substituted another item and was expected to take one item for an order of two items. He expected me to leave. I said I had a bagel with cream cheese and one with butter. Like I said they were out of plain bagels and that’s all my wife likes. So, ask for a cinnamon role and he expected me to pay the .30 difference. Poor attitides and really lousy customer service. 1Star for this place is 2 too many. To top it off, he again threw it up on the counter and had a look pn his face like«get the hell out.» No problem there… never going back to that sh## hole again.

So good there was actually a real-life police officer in here. Need I say more? Yes? Ok. Friendly service is abundant in this tiny building. I got a distinctly local feel from the place. Best apple fritter I have ever had anywhere ever. Ever. So good I had to get a second one to prove to my wife how good it was. Decent prices. Fun variety. The epitome of what a small, local donut emporium ought to be. Thanks Lighthouse!

Items Selected: Strawberry Ring Chocolate ‘Croissant’ Apple Fritter Key Lime PB&J Glazed Old Fashioned With family due to depart at noon and brunch plans at Datz it was a quick morning stop that saw us enter Lighthouse Doughnuts in Indian Rocks Beach and although the small shop may be nothing to look at from the outside, or within, the fried treats they are crafting tell are entirely different story — one of a mom n’ pop place doing things just right for a contingent of locals happy to sip coffee while discussing the day’s events or simply perusing the St. Petersburg Times. Truly a ‘locals only’ spot, but one easily found by those willing to travel a bit off the beaten path, it was just after eight in the morning that the friendly young man behind the counter greeted us with a «what can I get y’all?» and quickly perusing the options a half-dozen was selected — the still hot ring of yeasty dough and strawberry frosting eaten without even giving second thought to a picture as fumbling for the camera would have made a mess of unset pink topping. Bagging the rest and heading for the car with less than $ 5 invested it was next into a sour cream old fashion that teeth were sunk and although slightly sweeter than some the texture was superb, a similar statement applicable for an apple fritter that married plenty of cinnamon to pie filling beneath a crispy top coat surprisingly light in oil. Moving onward to a trio of filled options, the first described as a Chocolate ‘croissant,’ suffice it to say there was nothing laminated or baked about the pastry yet with plenty of rich filling it would seem silly to split hairs, the more appropriately named PB&J as well as the graham cracker dusted Key Lime proving even better with a soft and yeasty pocked wrapped around ample filling from which the tartness of the citrus immediately stole the show.

Great little donut place. Come in prepared to make up your mind quickly though, or they’ll overlook you and begin serving folks behind you. We needed to take a minute to make up our full decisions, as we were getting a couple boxes for many members of our family staying at a condo down the beach, and we felt rushed the whole time. The donuts were great though, and actually kept for several days. We found ourselves munching on the leftovers for a while. Recommended.

I haven’t been to the Indian Rocks area in 4 years… last time I had an Apple Fritter from Lighthouse Donuts, it was so good I nearly wet myself. We’re back and the first place we hit up was LD first thing the next morning. What a disappointment. The fritters weren’t fresh and tasted like they were bought from Walmart/Target. The jelly donut was gross. The filling was gummy like canned pie filling. The employees weren’t friendly or particularly interested in being there. I put money in the tip jar and the guy didn’t even hand me the bag. He left it on the counter, leaving me to look into other people’s bags to see which one was mine. .Fail! I really hope Lighthouse Doughnuts can turn things around because they were the BEST.

If you live within walking distance, this is an ok donut shop. But if you’re driving, head to one of the other high rated donut shops on Unilocal. This place is dirty and if you have a dog they do have an outside seating area but there is a sign that says NODOGS. The donuts are OK, but just that, OK. No matter how early you get here they don’t have a full selection. I think this place has changed owners and it’s showing.
