Spicy Southwest flavors is our passion for great Mexican food. Despite having a deep love for the cuisine, simply cooking and eating it wasn’t enough for us, all we wanted to do was share our food. Acapulco Joe’s was established out of a desire to share. Since opening more than 50 years ago, we striven to bring the best of Mexican cuisine to all those who have been willing to try it. That’s why we’re Indianapolis’ first Mexican Restaurant, we wanted to expose the north to the cuisine of the South.
Within Mexican cuisine, we specialize in cuisine from the Western Coast. We’re different from the average Mexican Restaurant, with everything from the way we prepare our food to the spices we source for authenticity.

History
Established in 1960.
Established in 1960, Acapulco Joe’s is Indianapolis’ first Mexican restaurant. Since opening, we have striven to bring authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine to Indianapolis’ and have enjoyed much success. We hope that we can one day add you to a long list of happy customers.

Business Owner
Owner Grant has always had a passion fro great Mexican food. As such, it was only natural for him to take over Acapulco Joe’s in 2013. Since taking the reigns, Grant has sought to grow and enhance the restaurant while sticking to the same principles that have brought customers back to the restaurant for years. Grant hopes to provide you with a stellar experience at every visit.
