I live close by so I frequent this location to watch some Big 10 games. I always sit in the bar area and the service has been subpar. I’ve only had one server who did not only a good job, but a great job! Wish I remembered her name, but it’s been a few months. The food is always pretty good, but it doesn’t come out in a timely manner usually. The car side Togo is usually always on time though. If management cleaned the place up some and expressed to the servers or taught some to have better customer service it would be a great place. Until that happens though I wouldn’t recommend dining in unless you have time to kill or are extremely patient.

I noticed one of the reviews basically said to not expect too much because it’s only Applee’s. I don’t think that’s right. The quality is usually pretty decent and it’s not a cheap place to eat. Saturday night, we tried the any two appetizers and got pretzel sticks & beer cheese and fried green beans. Only 2 pretzel sticks? Come on. And the amount of the green beans was minimal as well. They tasted fine, just not worth the $ 9.50 we paid. The wife ordered the sirloin, medium, and it came back almost raw. After sending it back, they returned the same piece of meat well done. We didn’t say anything, but the manager actually came over and noticed it well done and apologized. It took so long to bring her repaired meal out, I was done by the time she started. Not even a discount. I had the brunch burger. Pretty good. I’d eat it again, if we ever went to Applebee’s again.

Terrible service. she was rude and didn’t care that she messed up my order, that she didn’t even wrote down. We then ordered food on the computer because she was MIA and she came out and told us goodbye… Didn’t know we ordered more food. She brought out my dessert and it was melted, and definitely not what I was supposed to get. The manager took it off for me, if I could I would give him 5 stars. As we were leaving she said goodbye in a very sarcastic voice and another server laughed at us as we were leaving.

Normally when I come to Applebee’s the service and food is just okay. Tonight was the opposite. The all day brunch burger is amazing. It reminded me of eating the hangover burger at bunion’s casino in Las Vegas. I added lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. It is in my top 5 of best burgers of all time. Jennifer G was an amazing server. Very friendly and personable. She kept up on drink refills. Our glass never went empty. Best service I’ve ever had at an Applebee’s.

There are a lot of crappy reviews about this location. People: it’s Applebee’s. Not fine dining.(Three stars because I liked our server and the food was decent!) That being said; I wanted to compliment Jenni– our bartender/server. She was sweet and took great care of us. Food came out timely and service was good. Our food was fine– as to be expected! We ordered off the 600 calories or less menu. Chicken! However, my wine glass(I know, don’t hate on me for order wine at Applebee’s) was dirty, and so was the silverware:(I work at a restaurant so I know things can happen, but I’m just relaying my experience.) Also some dirty man was here walking around the restaurant in his sock feet. Cheers to the east side!

I keep trying this Applebee’s thinking, «it will be better this time.» I am always disappointed. Slow service. Crappy drinks. They forgot my daughters yogurt which then took them 5 minutes to bring out. I just need to give up on this place

Waited an hour outside of curbside to go for two cold entrees on a Sunday night. Bogus

I’ve come to expect that Applebee’s is just a boring place with average food. My waitress was nice, but made sure I knew she was shocked when I ordered an appetizer AND food for just myself. Spinach Artichoke Dip — the burnt cheese on top covered a very bland and soupy dip. Not much flavor to it. My dinner was the Mac and Cheese with some sort of Chicken Strips on it. While I don’t recall the actual title, I was well pleased with it — even if they gave me a tough breadstick on the side. I have always heard that«you get what you pay for». If that’s true, Applebee’s owes me something. My meal plus a soda came to $ 25. If I’m going to spend that sort of money on myself, there are far better options.

Well, let’s see: we waited over 45 minutes for a salad that came with an entrée and my appetizers came an hour later. Literally 8 tables occupied in the whole place. If you seek adventure, check this place out. Who knows when your food will come and what temperature it will be. Good luck!

I’ve never been a huge fan of Applebee’s but my recent visit really reminded me. It seemed unusually busy for late night on a Tuesday. I ordered french onion soup and fried green beans. I got the soup and it was room temperature. Sent it back to heat up. The green beans were decent, nothing special. Served with two sauces, horseradish and some bbq ranch. Found a fruit sticker in my horseradish and a potato in my bbq ranch. Seriously? The soup came back to me hot and it was mediocre. The service was okay, not the server’s fault the food sucked. Still not going back.

It’s an Applebee’s. Absolutely, totally, unswervingly middle of the road.

My experience here was bad from the get go… from astoundingly slow service, to chicken being in the vegetarian tomato/basil soup(that a vegetarian had ordered), to sitting for a good 20 minutes after our plates we taken waiting for our bill, to the waitress not returning my card to me and having to return the next day to pick it up. I am pretty easy going about service and feel like the first couple of times I had to ask for something more than once(a clean knife, a straw etcetc) was okay. I get it. But the fact that at 3pm when there was barely anyone in the place and every request was forgotten or messed up… just wasn’t acceptable. The margaritas are always good, perhaps I should have ordered one of them to ease the pain of dining at Applebee’s.

I love that this place is open late. I love that they have a pretty nice drink special(wish I could remember what it is). They also have a happy hour special– You have to get a drink, but then you get cheap appetizers, too(half price, maybe?). I don’t usually do the appetizer special, though. I usually like to get chicken or a steak. The fiesta lime chicken was always pretty tasty. I’ve had steaks that were tolerable(emphasis– tolerable, no more than that, really). The last steak I had there was some sort of parmesan srimp and steak. I usually don’t do the stuff on my steak, but I did, and the steak was horrible. It was incredibly fatty and flavorless. I’ve always had pretty good customer service from our servers at this location, though!

An Applebee’s is an Applebee’s is an Applebee’s. But it’s hard to find a non-chainbplace to eat at this time of night. Their appetizer special after nine puts every appetizer at $ 4.59(used to be $ 3.99) and the shredded pork wonton tacos and the chicken quesadillas are both really good. Their 3 mini burgers with fries are really good on their roll-like buns
