Advertises one price, charges another once you’re in the store. Are they unaware that a Walgreens is less than 2 minutes down the street? I was a regular customer – no longer!

I stopped here to pick up a leg brace, cough drops and face wash. Everything was easy enough to find. The store was clean and well lit. I was a bit frustrated with the service I received though. There was only one bottle of the face wash I picked out on the shelves. I brought to the counter and asked the clerk if they might by chance have a second bottle in the back. She said no, that they didn’t, but did not actually check or call anyone, or even ask me why I might want a second bottle. The bottle had obviously been used by someone in the store. It was squished, like it had been squeezed, and some oil had leaked out of the top to make a sticky mess around the outside of the bottle. It has also obviously been on the shelf a long time, because the sticky mess had a lot of dust stuck in it — to make a sticky dirty mess. I asked the clerk if, due to the state of the bottle, I could perhaps have a 10% discount. She looked at me in a shocked sort of way and said, «I think the bottle is just fine. And there isn’t a manager her to approve a discount anyway.» Really? I am a bit surprised that a dirty and open package can’t be discounted 10% by an employee, but maybe that really is a CVS policy. Regardless, I wasn’t thrilled with my experiences. At least the face wash works well!

I wanted to get cough and cold medicine and as I went to pay for it, the clerk and the manager both standing behind the counter thought discussing the reality show coming on TV that night was a higher priority than servicing a suffering customer and sending him on his way home. Finally after about a minute the clerk said«I suppose you’d like my undivided attention.» Yes. The manager asked if I wanted to join the CVS card club. No.
