Trust me. Just don’t go here. The place is an eyesore, the food is old and highly marked up, and it’s a congregating zone for God knows what.

The limited selection of warm singles is tolerable given the reasonable prices. The shopping carts are big enough. I like how they keep cigarettes above the counter such that they can be easily reached by the cashiers. They have both warm and cold Faygo. I wish they had a drive thru. The parking lot is large. I doubt they sell organic wine, which is a problem for me.

This place is like Rodney Dangerfield. It gets no respect. Were it in a trendier location it might get more play. Its not. Its on the wrong side of Fountain Square. I’ve been going here for quite a while. Their hook is, they buy inventory on closures or inventory reduction. That means they buy potable beverage in large quantity. Wine a distributor no longer carries, or seasonal beer, no longer in season. The few Unilocalers that have written about this place know what’s up; but it has been more than a minute, then anyone has written anything. Well I went there Thursday and bought a case of 24, 16 ounce cans of Kentucky IPA for $ 6.99. And boy it was a real, good and hoppy beer. ABV– 6 and nice flavor. Good for what ails you.

I haven’t been here in several months but felt compelled to write about it anyways after a discussion at a Unilocal!event with other Unilocalers. Looking for cheap 40’s? Looking for oddball discount wine? Looking for eclectic beer sales, tobacco, candy, lottery tickets, or Faygo? This is your place! They carry wine and beer only, just to get that out of the way. Most of their beer selection leans towards the blue collar varieties, but often they get in pallets of random specials. For example, one time when I was in there they were selling cases of Shiner Bock(case of 24, not 12) for $ 12.99! I remember taking it to the front desk, asking if the price was legit, getting a gruff response like«What the hell are you talking about?» and bought my first case. I proceeded to buy five more for friends. You might not always find what you’re looking for, but the random finds make it totally worth checking out. And as a side note, a 40oz of Schlitz Red Bull for $ 1.49 is totally a good deal. :-)
