I was told the crab Rangoon was a must-try but to be honest I didn’t enjoy it at all. I see from the reviews there are some die-hard fans so maybe I came in an off day. The service was quick and to the point. I like the drive through set up it is very very convenient.

Be here a few times and the service and food have good. Today not so much. They asked my daughter we what kind of soup she wanted and she said she didn’t want any. I ask for noodles instead and they said it was additional 2 dollars. Why? Just exchange for the soup she didn’t want. On the menu all the side items are 1.75. Why 2? My son did not like his pineapple chicken. I tried it and and agreed. Not good. I let him finish my general tso and I ate my over done egg roll. The HiC drink from the fountain was nothing but syrup. Probably won’t be back

The best chinese food on the south side of Indianapolis. As others have noted. This is not a chain restaurant. This is a private owned with private recipes for their food. That being said, dont expect General Tso’s to resemble what buffets have shown you. It’s better than any buffet. The neighborhood is safe. The food is the best damned chinese food you are going to get. Everything is made fresh in woks as you order it. The place is small and greasy, which are trademarks of great food. It ain’t no Chicago Chinatown, but it’ll do in a pinch. Don’t take the service personally. The man who owns the place is very friendly and customer oriented. The older lady is traditional asian with absolutely no want or need to be friendly.

I’m not sure what happened to David to warrant giving it a bad review, but I’ve had nothing but delicious food from here over the years. The(I presume) husband is very friendly and remembers me when I come through the drive-up window, even after we moved out of state for three years and came back. The food is made to order, so you might have to wait a few minutes in the drive-up line, but it’s worth it. You know how a lot of chinese takeaway places all have the exact same food in the exact same sauces(neon red sweet and sour sauce, anyone?) Egg Roll King is not one of those places. Everything I’ve had from there has been delicious and different than most other take-out places. The General Tso’s sauce is dark and not sweet. Their Kung Po Chicken is not deep fried chunks. Pineapple Chicken also is delicious. The entrees sizes(for dinner, at least) are nice. They come with a little container of fried rice(again, not that neon yellow crap other places have). They say they have the best crab rangoon in town. I have to agree. They’re pretty awesome.

Okay, I personally know the owner & his wife so, I’m a little bias here! However I still will be as truthful as I always am, when writing my reviews! I moved back to Greenwood. I had to eat here during lunch, right in the middle of our move. We was looking for something fast, but yet good at the same time! This place never disappoints. I seen there was an previous review for a 1 star! I don’t know what they ordered but that’s just like giving Beyonce a 3 on a scale from 1 – 10! Anyways, I ordered something different this time, I ordered the Cashew chicken, with egg drop soup, which also comes with fried rice & an egg roll! You get all of this for 3.95, on there lunch menu. I also tried the Chinese biscuits with homemade milk sauce for $ 3.99, I now know what I’ll be ordering again :)! I was all rather tasty. My usual order is General Tso, Sweet & sour chicken, Fried vegetables & Hot braised chicken. My only complaint is that I had to pay extra for the hot oil sauce. I get it at another place for free, plus they give you more in a cup. The food is consistently good & there’s always the same cook, who prepares the meals. I will say this is one of the best affordable Chinese joints in town… It’s definitely a good plkace to eat on a restricted budget, especially being in school full-time!

I used to love tthis place but recently the quality has gone downhill. I was hoping for an improvement but the level of quality just getting lower and lower. Sorry, but the last straw was when the beef smelled rotten and had be thrown away.
