Nice little sports/dive bar with fun trivia on Monday’s. Good place to get together with a small group for drinks when you’re not feeling pretentious.

Grilled tenderloin had been marinated and was juicy, flavorful and tender. Excellent. Broccoli was seasoned and well prepared as well. Waitress(Debbi) was friendly, fun and attentive. Will be back!

I only gave 4, because it is so hit or miss. 95% of the time, they get it right… and they have a huge tap beer garden to be a low key spot… great deals on Sunday!

House chili — excellent! Wings — excellent! Service — great! Calamari– horrible. Additional note: when I mentioned the calamari to my server, she pleasantly took it off my bill. Added a star for that!

Met up with a friend here for dinner and drinks… It’s your typical local bar — nothing flashy, but there’s nothing wrong with that either. They actually had a pretty good drink selection, including some good local brews and not just the typical macros. The food menu was also pretty extensive and even included more upscale items like fish and pasta, not just burgers and nachos. I got a sandwich and the wife got a burger, both of which were actually pretty good. While the waffle fries I got were great, the wife’s regular fries were pretty sad and lifeless. It was also trivia night(as is every Monday, apparently), and we love bar trivia! We played along with eight or nine other teams and really enjoyed ourselves. The biggest shortcoming of our experience was the service. It was slow getting our food and drinks and our server just generally seemed to want to be anywhere but there. I know everyone has bad days, so I’m not letting that ruin the place for me. We may very well be back soon on another Monday for some trivia.

If you like okay bar food and bad service this is the place to go… Food was bland nothing special a guy next to us got the nachoes and he said his chips were stale there was nothing to them they say deluxe more like scrap nachoes. We got the twice baked potato skins and they weren’t twice baked at all! Just regular skins. Then the best part we ordered a grilled chicken salad and jalapeño poppers At the 50 min mark our bartender who we think was the manager said«yea it’s busy, so there were orders ahead of you» no apology, nothing. How long does a salad and some frozen poppers take?!? Seriously not a good place to eat! Cool place to have a drink though that’s the only reason for one star. Never will return again on business or any other visit. Not even worth my company’s money.

We won’t be returning here. We only chose it because we arrived late/checked-in to our hotel later than most places to eat closed, and also due to our preference to try local eateries. This place is noisy, dirty, and the food is blehhhh.

Place was recommended by hotel receptionist, wasn’t expecting much but this place is great. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and the food is delicious! I live nearby the area and will trek the 30 – 40 minutes to come back here!

I’ve been here for both lunch and dinner. The menu is diverse enough to offer a great variety without being overwhelming. The salads are large and fresh. I had the chicken tender salad and it was perfect. The wraps are great for lunch. Monday night was trivia night which added a bit of entertainment. All and all a fun hangout.

This is just a basic bar, but the staff are wonderful and keep me coming back. They are happy, friendly and very quick. They all seem to get along great and help each other out, which makes for a great experience at an otherwise unremarkable place. Great beer selection on tap(15 – 20?) and great pizza. Food is fairly consistent with an average bar, but is tasty and comes out quick. Portion sizes are average but sufficient. Plenty of regulars occupy the handful of bar stools and conversation is plentiful. Definitely a ‘Cheers’ experience. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a nice friendly bar for a good drink and a quick bite.

So Im out of town for work. This place was recommended to me. Would I recommend it to someone else? Sure… but Im also sure there are better places in Indy. Food was bar worthy. Beer selection was better… I don’t know… Wasn’t great… wasn’t bad. My co-worker did get dripped on from a leak in the roof so there was that… Anyways if you’re hungry I sure there aer worse spots.

Travelling for business… needed to eat! This place is by the hotel, so I tried it. Gatsby’s has a comfortable atmosphere, nice servers, and plenty of TVs. I had a coke, salad, and chicken fajita. Food was fine. And most of all the feeling of a relaxed atmosphere.

Great little pub! The food was very good and the service prompt and friendly. What stood out was how clean the place was. The server did not hesitate to recommend items on the menu and kept our drinks full during our visit. Solid menu, solid food quality! I’d go back

Average service. Decent variety on the menu. Would be a good place to watch sporting events.

My wife and a couple friends stopped in here on 9÷26÷14 as part of a promotional contest to try and win Colts tickets by the local radio station. It was very packed and I don’t believe the staff quite knew how to handle it. We were here for about an hour and a half and there would be 20 minute stretches where we wouldn’t see our server. They completely forgot to bring my friend their drink at one point. However, even though it was so busy the food arrived fairly quickly. Between the four of us, we ordered the chicken wrap, chicken wings, and philly. Not one of us finished our meal. Not because of the quantity, but because we really didn’t find it that appetizing. As others have said on here, the menu is provided by Sysco. I guess we should have got the pizza as a lot of the reviews recommend it. With all that being said, if you are looking for a place to grab some cheap drinks and watch the game, then it is perfect. Everyone was very friendly and they did apologize for the long waits. Pros: cheap drinks, atmosphere Cons: food we ordered was sub-par in our opinion, long waits(didn’t seem to be able to handle the large crowd even though they had advanced notice).

One star was because of service. Took over 30 minutes to order. Server was rude and useless. Had to seat ourselves. Food was ok. Sandwich was small for price. Reuben had very little sauerkraut. Beer was too warm out the gate. The was a poor performance and we won’t be back

So my girlfriend and I stopped in while traveling to Michigan. We came in at 10:30 on a Sunday night thinking we could order food, but the kitchen closed at 11. The waitress warmly welcomed us, and said she would be more than happy to make us a pizza. We weren’t in the mood for pizza, but said ok since we were so hungry :-) We were pleasantly surprised, son! The pizza was incredible, great beers, and just an overall pleasant experience. She went out of her way to help a couple of hungry sisters out! Please support this restaurant, they rock!

The waitstaff and friendly bar tenders make up for any short comings with the food. Great beers on tap, decent bar food, what more could you ask for from a bar & grill in between two hotels? Many patrons are from out of town, which makes for some fun mingling. Good stuff all around, great vibes.

I understand that Gatsby’s has fairly recently come under new ownership. I was never there under the old owners, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I met a friend for lunch there yesterday and it was a simply stellar experience. The restaurant/bar is spotless. The service was exceptionally friendly, even though at lunch time they were PACKED, the servers did an outstanding job of taking care of everyone. There are several TV’s, tuned to sports and news channels. The volume was turned down, and conversation was easy. My buddy and I both had the breaded tenderloin sandwich, and this is one of the better breaded tenderloins in town. I wouldn’t hesitate to order it again. Overall, a stellar experience. We’ll be back, and soon.

Local pub with good pub food and good service off 71st and Intech Blvd. Super easy to get to right off 465. We stopped coming here years ago because of the amount of heavy smoke consumed. That is a thing of the past with all smokers 8′ from the front door. Clientele consist of mostly locals and folks dropping by who work in the area. The walls are lined with televisions with a variety of sports playing but the crowd is following the World Series game tonight with great enthusiasm. Almost filled to capacity at 8:00 and loved the rallying of team support from the crowd. The white bean chili is not bad but certainly not the white bean chili we’re use to from other pubs with a tomato base. It has a milk/cream base with pinto beans, small chunks of chicken and a white creamy soup broth with a decent flavor. The flavor was good but took me by surprise. The house salads are large enough for a meal and the dinners are decent and affordable. The salmon was cooked perfectly but for our taste buds thought it needed a little more seasoning. Nice spot to stop by for drinks, appetizers, dinner or to watch your favorite sports events.
