* My fiancé’s power steering pump needed to get replaced urgently. We initially tried some chain mechanics who quoted us high prices and even wanted a diagnostic fee which would then not even go toward repair costs; they were nothing but business.
* We found J&W though Unilocal and gave them a call. William took his time to quote us over the phone and was able to answer all of our questions. Furthermore, his quote was significantly less than the big chains. He then told us to come in when we were available within their business hours. We dropped the car off Friday evening and were informed that the car should be ready to go by closing time Saturday.
* Saturday afternoon William informed us that the pump would be delivered after business hours but would work on it after hours and we can pick it up then. We came back Saturday evening and also met his wife who was just as nice. They are both wonderful people, very personable and treat you not just like a customer, but like a friend. They don’t rush you and maintain eye contact when talking with you. Along with every word they spoke, they spoke with a smile. Something so simple really goes a long way.
* William is a classic mechanic; he doesn’t just hook up your car to a diagnostic machine, but can just about diagnose by using his senses of seeing, listening and touching; a true skill not found too often these days. He keeps you in the loop and doesn’t try to upsell unnecessary parts or labor. He went above and beyond to solve our car problem. We are very appreciative of J&W and will definitely be coming back as well as referring to others. Thank you again William & Tanya !

More than amazing customer service! Let me break this down for you — me, 3pm on a Saturday with a dead car battery at a gas station 3 miles from J&W.
This being the first time I’d ever had such a major car issue on my own, I did the only logical thing I could think of and whipped out Unilocal for auto repair shops. It was lookin’ bleak — apparently everyone closes by noon on Saturday. Faaaantastic!
Narrowed my search to those open and nearby and dialed up J&W who had a perfect rating. A man answered the phone and told me he’d swing over. 20 minutes later, William was there to save the day. He jumped my car and I decided to follow him back to his shop where he called in for a new battery for me, installed it, and sent me in my way — all in little over an hour!
Friends, if that isn’t awesome customer service, I don’t know what is. I clearly had no clue about cars and never did I feel threatened of being taken for a fool. Props to this mom and pop shop located in the heart of Fountain Square for taking care of their customers. Now please go give these guys more business! I will definitely be back!

Local fountain square auto shop. Decided to check it out and get my oil changed. They were very friendly, helpful, and quick. I’ll be going back!
