Specialties

I have been in practice since 1996 and specialize in custom-​design therapeutic massage. I can use a variety of techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, Reiki and Craniosacral Therapy to accomplish my client’s goals and needs. I respect a client’s desire for quiet and relaxation during their session and love what I do!

History

Established in 1996.

I received my massage therapy training from the Massage Therapy Institute of California in 1996 in both basic and advanced techniques. In 2004 I became certified in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. And in 2006, I completed my Reiki Master/​Teacher level three training from my Master/​Teacher, Glenda Harty. I enjoy blending my skills to best fit my client’s needs for each session and never work with a «one-​size-​fits-​all» mentality.

I grew up in Fargo, ND and I bring my client-​pleasing work ethic and light-​hearted personality to each bodywork session. I have been practicing a variety of bodywork modalities since 1996 and have been a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals since 2001. I live near Butler with my family, I am a huge bookworm and love to walk my dogs, Gus and Coco.

Jenn is one of the nicest and most professional people with whom I have interacted. Her office is incredibly welcoming and very, very clean (always a plus in my book!). She is excellent at creating a relaxing, comfortable environment, and always works to your exact needs and specifications. There is ample parking in her building’s parking lot. You can’t find a better massage therapist in Indianapolis. If you haven’t already, you really need to give Jenn a try — I promise you will not be disappointed!

Jenn’s location is «off the beaten path» but don’t let that get in your way. Once you have the address it’s easy to find, parking is easy, and (most important) her massage was awesome. She listens, clearly cares for client’s well-​being, and has a great technique. Highly recommend!

Jenn is the best massage therapist I have found. I have cervical arthritis with resultant back pain. I have been going to Jenn for over two years now and she has been an incredible help. Her massage technique has been the only thing that can make the muscles and nerves in my back calm down and make me more mobile. Highly recommended!!!

I had the privilege of falling into Jen’s hands aproximately 8 years ago and have returned for her massage & body work expertise regularly thru time. Jen’s strong body of knowledge & massage techniques zeroe in on whatever urges me in for some self TLC. She individualizes each session to whatever my need be it stress reduction or muscle discomfort coaxing the body into deep relaxation. Her created space feels like a safe haven & her professional style is therapeutic, warm & open. She magically illicits information that guides her into selecting best techniques for whatever is ailing .
I have had the 60 minute massage — great results and as well the 90 minute which
is amazing. If I fall into a twilight sleep trance –all the better .
I’ve experienced massages at top spas in travels and rarely does anyone come close to Jen’s magic.

I always feel very comfortable coming in to get a massage from Jenn and I leave feeling my stress was left with her and my back always feels better. Fabulous! This was my first professional massage. I have a pretty big circle of «personal space,» and always thought a professional massage might be kind of creepy. I received a gift certificate, & decided to see if Jenn would prove me wrong on my fears of feeling too close for comfort. To my happy surprise, she did! I received a wonderful, relaxing head & shoulder massage that did wonders for a very tight spot I’ve had in my right neck & shoulder. Jenn’s courteous & professional manner relaxed me quickly. That gift might just turn into more visits! Totally recommended for a massage to relax or to help with a specific concern.

I heard about Jenn through a friend who lives in the area (I am from out of town). I came into town for work and was needing a massage and were my expectations highly exceeded!
Jenn’s office is quite, clean, and very warm and welcoming. At the start she was so friendly, answering all my questions, and gathering the information she needed. Listened to every need of mine, and did a FABULOUS job.
After the massage she made sure everything went well and offered me complimentary water as she sent me on my way. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone in the Indianapolis area, Jenn is amazing!

As a 23 year old I haven’t had many massages and this was my first massage in Indianapolis, that being said, my massage with Jenn was the best I’ve ever received. We sat down beforehand to discuss exactly where I was sore, she made me feel very comfortable and never once tried to strike up a conversation with me during my massage. For these reasons I will without a shadow of a doubt be returning to Jenn for another massage.

I am socially awkward, kind of a klutz, and just. kind of odd. I was having severe pain in my shoulder area one week and looked on Unilocal for a masseuse. Jenn came up with several great reviews. So I took a chance and booked her. Best idea I ever had. She is a wonderful masseuse with a great personality. I have a hard time around people, and had no issues talking with her at all. She always has a smile on her face and you can tell she enjoys what she is doing. Can’t wait for another massage!

When I arrived at Jenn’s, I was in rough shape. I live in San Francisco, and had flown across the country to handle a family emergency. During week three of said family emergency, it became apparent that my body was ready for some heavy-​duty self care. I am a reiki practitioner and frequently receive massage and craniosacral therapy, so I am very particular about bodywork.
Jenn not only helped me quickly book a massage, but she also managed to fit in a session for my mom last minute. She was extremely responsive via phone, email and text message, and was flexible with time when we were running late.
I haven’t even talked about the massage yet. Jenn blended massage, craniosacral and reiki therapies. She talked when I felt like talking and held quiet space when I felt like being quiet. I had a huge emotional release on the table, a testament to the safety I felt in the healing space Jenn has created. My mom, who hasn’t experienced a whole lot of bodywork, and tends to be shy around new people, came out of her cranialsacral/​reiki session beaming and much more relaxed.
The next time I am visiting family in Indianapolis, I will be sure to book another appointment with Jenn.

I know that I am prone to exaggerating, but I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say that Jenn gave me the best massage of my life.
Jenn’s got great, welcoming energy. Her space is comfortable, calming, and full of natural light. The massage was wonderful. I’d been in a car accident the week before and was in pretty bad shape. She was attentive, asked thoughtful questions about my health history and my preferences. Jenn focused on my trouble areas and paced the massage based on the feedback from my body, rather than just following a set sequence. The pressure was right on – I like a pretty deep massage – and she worked in some stretching that felt great. I like to relax in silence during a massage, and Jenn struck a good conversational balance: she checked in a couple of times to make sure I was happy and comfortable and otherwise let me be.
Getting a massage from Jenn was one of the nicest things I’ve done for myself in a long time. I’ll be back again and again.

This review really needs only one sentence: There is no massage therapist better than Jenn Baron.
However, since you likely don’t know me, I’ll elaborate. Jenn *listens*. She listens not only to what your words say but also what your body says. In past years I’ve tried many massage therapists and none have compared to Jenn. She will apply as much (or little) pressure as you like and gives you tips on how to help mend whatever is ailing you. I have chronic headaches. I always thought they were caused by knots in my neck and back. Once she worked on my sinuses (in addition to the known trouble spots) and I felt amazing, for DAYS! The more you communicate, the better you’ll feel.
YOU SHOULD TRY HER. You will not be disappointed.

I have so much that I could say about Jen Barron. Not only is she amaing at what she does (massages) but she is one of the nicest, most compassionate, most caring human beings I’ve ever met! My husband is very picky about who does his massages and he loves going to Jen… and that says A LOT! I would reccomend her to anyone!!!
