Dave is gone. Unfortunately, this means that this franchise location has sunk to an incredibly poor level of service. I took my 2010 Toyota Corolla in there a few weeks ago to have the brakes checked. Indeed, I needed to have new rotors and brakepads put on my car after the rotors were warped by flood waters. The brake pads were only 7 months old, so that was a concern, but given the fact they were under warranty, I didn’t complain. Today I had to go back because of a strange squealing sound that even my son noticed — no small thing since he is never without his headphones while in my car. The sound turned out to be a stuck brake caliper. The likely cause according to my research on the Internet is an issue when the brake pads were replaced. The counter clerk would take no responsiblity for Meineke’s potential part in this. After shelling out close to $ 250 a few weeks ago, I had to pony up another $ 200. The counter clerk gave me a measly $ 15 discount on the work. He did not inspire confidence in me when he couldn’t even remember which vehicle was mine when he came back to talk to me during my wait. Other things that did not inspire confidence was the guy working on my brakes while talking on his cell phone nor the guy working near someone else’s gas tank with a lit cigarette in his mouth.
I’ve been a long time customer of this particular store. I noticed no GUYS brought their cars in while I was there — they are probably too smart to deal with this place. Their fortune is apparently now made by bilking women who they think don’t know better. I am actually considering taking my car elsewhere to have my brakes evaluated again because they still don’t feel quite right. I am no gearhead, but I’ve driven this same car almost daily for close to 5 years, and I can tell you when it feels different. Safety is paramount as winter approaches and I attempt to teach both my of kids to drive. I won’t be taken advantage of here again.

They got me back on the road this past Memorial Day weekend fast! 30 min before they closed on Saturday, they replaced a missing O-​Ring Gasket on my Oil Filter and topped off my oil. Dave didn’t even charge me!
I drove into town from Columbus for the Indy 500 and, sure enough, a shoddy oil change that morning in Columbus almost derailed my trip and destroyed by engine. The folks at a «quick oil change» place in Columbus didn’t put the O-​Ring Gasket back on the Oil Filter in my 2003 Saturn. All the full synthetic oil in my engine leaked out all over the underside of my engine and started smoking (white smoke is never a good sign!). Oil even made its way onto my the back of my trunk!
After stopping at a gas station I saw oil leaking from under my engine. I checked the dip stick and it was bone dry! I frantically started calling auto service companies at 3:15p to try and find someone to take a look at it. Thankfully Dave at Meineke answered my call (they close at 4pm) and said to come right in. I bought 2 quarts of oil at the gas station, filled up and crossed my fingers that I’d make it. Luckily we got there and Dave’s crew got me back on the road in no time! I can’t recommend these guys more highly!
