I visited Mesh for the first time with co-workers, and I loved every minute of it. The appetizers were to die for, and my steak was so succulent! Additionally, the staff was VERY attentive, and I appreciated that our servers attempted to call us by name.

I went to Mesh with my boyfriend for a belated Valentine’s Day celebration. We had a very charming waiter and a lovely table. We had the mushroom and goat cheese strudel and I had the chimichuri shrimp and my boyfriend had the NY strip. It was all delicious and we had a great time. Until later that night, I got food poisoning… VIOLENTLY. I seriously thought I was going to die. I spent the remainder of our«romantic» evening with an excruciating headache, flushed red and vomiting up all of my expensive meal. Luckily, I started feeling better in the morning and did not have to go to the hospital, but I do not think I will ever return to Mesh.

I really wanted to go to Mesh because I heard such good things. Overall I felt satisfied with my experience but not that they did anything better than average, hence the rating. The restaurant is quaint and slick, kind of a modern bohemian vibe. It’s an eclectic mix of customers, from business folk coming from the office to large parties to families with screaming babies. The waitress was friendly and prompt. They served warm bread with oil and that was quite good. I got the crab cake entrée and ordered dessert afterwards. The crab cake entrée was two crab cakes atop a succotash. The crab cakes were full of meat, not filling which is good but the meat tasted kind of fishy, not sweet. I’m not sure what type of crab they used or how fresh it was. Overall the dish should have been harmonious had the crab not been so fishy. I got the apple cake for dessert. It’s a bit of a misnomer because there was one tiny, thin slice of apple on the bottom of the plate. The cake was good but I just expected there to be apples baked in it or more apples on it/under it. It was more like a spice cake with caramel and ice cream. It was good, it tasted very strongly of nutmeg which I happen to enjoy but for some, it could probably be overpowering

My husband and I went there brunch time, we were disappointed to know that they only serve brunch on weekends. So we shared the steak salad and ordered the Rigatoni entrée and the grilled cheese sandwich. We ordered the steak medium but was served to us medium rare. The pasta was undercooked and not salted enough. The cheese sandwich was pure tasteless grease. The waitress tho was kind and the restaurant patio is beautiful.

Always delicious food and friendly service. They offer $ 100 gift card after every $ 1000 spent to those loyal enough to be regulars. Half priced martinis every Thursday night. They have two TVs at the bar. The bathroom is a bit annoying because it’s two singles and you can’t tell if it’s being used or not without knocking or twisting the handle. Is recommend a switch.

I’m so glad that we had the opportunity to try this wonderful place. The hostess’s are pleasant and friendly. And, our waiter Ben is totally on his stuff. He’s probably the best dining service/experience thus far. He’s personable and he knows his stuff. He basically picked out everything for us and everything was a winner. I’d really suggest sitting in his section for the best experience possible. Great job and great food!!! I’d suggest the bread platter with the whisky cheese Devine, the scallops, calamari and the kale salad with shrimp as the protein. Thank you

While the food was amazing, I have to brag about the desserts! Oh my goodness! A variety to choose from and each more delicious than the others. I LOVED this restaurant. If you haven’t tried it already, you must!

I was driving through Indy and decided to stop at this place because of the great reviews. So glad I did b cause this place was so good! The fried calamari was some of the best I’ve ever had. Next time I drive through Indy again, I’m stopping here!

Our first foray into the Indy dining scene was a success! I loved the savory bread and red pesto olive oil they start you out with. I had lobster bisque as an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced at $ 6 for a generous cup. For our entrees, my husband had the crab cakes($ 24), which he really enjoyed, and I had the steak frites($ 20). It was very good, but the steak was a little bit fatty. It was a good dish overall though, and a big enough portion that I was able to bring almost half home. The ambiance is really nice but not as upscale as Unilocal reviews led me to believe; I wore a dress because it seemed from the reviews that jeans were not appropriate, but then almost everyone there was in jeans(on a Saturday night, fwiw).

Love Mesh. I’ve been in for dinner several times, and once for brunch and both are great. The calamari with broccoli slaw and prosciutto crostini are my favorite appetizers. The steak salad and steak frites are great my favorite entrees. And Thursday’s are my favorite nights to go for ½ off martinis. I normally sit at the bar and service has always been awesome.

When it comes to CRG they have pretty much mastered the game on every level and with each new endeavor. Mesh is not only no exception but topping my list. Of course the wine and liquor selection is fantastic. They offer a rotating seasonal menu to which the food remains consistent in its deliciousness. However, even if a place offers all of the right things, it wouldn’t matter if the service isn’t there and to me that pushes Mesh above 5 stars. They hit the jackpot on some of the friendliest and most knowledgable bartenders/servers I’ve had the privilege to encounter. Pick any day and I’m hoping you’ll have the same experience I have had consistently.

A great spot in the up-and-coming area that is Mass. Ave in downtown Indy. I really like the app choices and the seafood options offer a great variety for those with a preference for those with a preference for something form the sea. Not overpriced at all!

I’ve only been once, but they get 5 stars for that visit. A group of friends and I stopped into Mesh for Sunday brunch. It was wonderful. We had mimosas, which was my second favorite part. My favorite was the Steak and Eggs. If you have a chance to try that, do it! If you’re looking for something cheap, don’t go to Mesh. However, it is well worth the money. Service was also excellent. Our server had no problem taking on our table of 10.

It was an unseasonably warm day last Saturday — very warm for February in Indianapolis, and my wife and son and I decided to walk down Mass Ave. Our friends had mentioned Mesh as being a great restaurant, so we thought we would give it a try. We weren’t disappointed: Food Quality: We arrived at about 2pm, and evidently they were still on the Brunch menu, which was no problem. I had the Steak & Eggs. Normally, this type of breakfast food is unremarkable, but at Mesh they took the time to do it right. The steak itself was a 6-ounce New York Strip, cooked medium(as I asked). The steak was very tender and flavorful, as were the scrambled eggs. It’s a bit pricey at nearly $ 20.00, but it was worth it. Service: Our server was a very nice young man(forgot his name already). He went out of his way to accommodate my son’s tree nut allergy, and it was clear that getting things right was important to him. His service was spectacular. Overall it was a great experience. Can’t wait to go back for the dinner menu next time.

WHAT A SHAMEONVALENTINESDAYWEEKEND. We felt like we were jilted by a lover on Valentines Day. After years of absolute outstanding service that we have bragged about, last night was a disappointment. BECERTAINTHATTHEQUALITYOFTHEDISHESCOMINGFROMTHEKITCHENISSTILLTOPNOTCH!!! But in any quality relationship, it’s the total demonstration of true feelings that says so much. We had to ask for the wine list. Upon opening our menus we discovered«the Devour Downtown menus were still inserted leading us to believe they were still being offered. Our server immediately jerked them out and we stated that we thought Devour had ended a week ago. He confirmed and laughed. Now for the real issues that demonstrated a lack of details. The lobster bisques were served before the cocktails and bread. After consuming nearly all of the bisques, we were asked if we would like fresh ground pepper. I felt like asking on what. The bread was presented after the first course was taken away. It would be my suggestion that our young server concentrate more on the details and sequence of his service and less on his comedy routine. My wife and I were there for dinner and not for a comedy club set. It was quite overbearing at times; although he seemed to enjoy his show. We have reservations for Cunningham’s new Vida restaurant next Saturday. We hope it reflects the the quality of food and«service» we have come to expect from a Cunningham restaurant.

My husband and I dined at Mesh last night for Valentine’s Day/date night. We won’t be returning. If you go and they try to seat you upstairs in the back room — refuse and ask to be seated elsewhere.(In fact a party of 4 was seated and about 15 min. later they moved.) It is isolated and sterile. Nothing decorating the tables, not even salt and pepper shakers. God forbid they have a candle on the table. Wasn’t nicely lit. The cocktails were just okay and nothing special. The food portions were good, but my husband’s scallops were cold. Hard sell on the rewards card — seriously off-putting when you’re trying to wrap things up and just get out of there. Just left us feeling really disappointed, and frankly, angry the more we think about it.

It saddens me to write this review. I had such high expectations. Along with some friends, we dined here Sunday evening for Devour Downtown. Upon arriving, I was surprised at the size of the restaurant. the bar side to the right and the restaurant section to the left. There is also and upstairs section. I thought, this was a nice place. The service we received was pretty good. Our server kept our water glasses filled and that is a plus. She was friendly and not over-bearing. At our table of three, 2 of us had the Lobster Bisque and the other had a wedge salad. the lobster bisque was just okay. For me, it had a weird after taste, but i chucked that up to not really knowing much about bisque. For our entrée’s, i had the BBQ salmon, and they had the chicken over rice(at least that is what it looked like — fried chicken over rice with some brussel sprouts). My salmon, again, just okay, I couldnt taste the BBQ sauce on the salmon and the sauce that was spread across my plate for decoration tasted like Sweet Uncle Rays(straight from Meijers). the dessert was bread pudding and vanilla ice cream… this was the highlight of the meal. I mention everyones meals because at the end of the meal, we all had upset stomachs. the only items we had in common was the bread and the water. While my friends were fine the next morning, I still had lingering effects. Consensus — we will not be returning here for meals…, maybe drinks!

Mesh is the perfect spot to take the parents, enjoy a romantic date, or ring in a birthday. It’s a little pricier and more formal than most Mass Ave spots but it does not disappoint. My advice– make a reservation! Its always bustling, for good reason! My favorite dish is the crab cakes! For an appetizer I recommend the mushroom goat cheese strudel. So good! The wine selection is impressive as well! And half price bottles on Sunday’s. Cocktails are seasonal but everything I’ve tried has been good– especially the lemon basil old fashioned. I’ve only been for dinner but I hear great things about brunch as well! Go enjoy yourselves at Mesh! And bring your Cunningham restaurants VIP card!

We live downtown and like to walk to non-chain restaurants for dinner. My wife and I went to Mesh on a Tuesday night, early(6:00-ish), while the main dining room was almost empty. The young ladies acting as hosts asked us if we had reservations, to which I replied«At 6:00 on a Tuesday?» The hostess replied that they could seat us in the bar. We reluctantly agreed, and dined there. Our service was good, and my crab cakes were excellent. I had the lobster bisque before the crab cakes, and the bisque was as good as anyplace else — nothing particularly special but nevertheless good. My wife had a vegetarian dish with lots of butternut squash in it and she really enjoyed it. We had been seated at one of those bar tables that is high with tall stool-like seats, so when we left both of us were a bit sore from being uncomfortable during dinner. Also as we left we took a look at the main dining room and there was a 2-top table wide open, a couple of 4-tops open, and perhaps more in the back we could not see. We were dressed appropriately(we’re both professionals who had come from work) so the hostess declining to seat us in the main dining room was an irritation that will probably keep us from going back. If you’re young and«hip» and the hostesses like you, this might be a good dining spot for you.

Mesh has excellent food and a good wine selection. We had the pomme frites, calamari, veal and pork meatballs, braised lamb shoulder, the hoisin duck breast, and the bread pudding. All the food was cooked to perfection and tasty, and we slaughtered our food until there was nothing left in the dishes. We were probably there for 1.5 hrs. It has a great romantic atmosphere, with the mood lighting, that creates a somewhat private feel. We had made reservations, and the only thing that I had a gripe with was that, even with reservations, we probably had the worst table in the restaurant. It was by the windows, near the front desk, and we caught a lot of traffic. It was as if they had just placed a spare table in this odd spot and it was rather uncomfortable.

I like a restaurant that has a pared-down menu, because that tells me two things: 1) they put thought into what they have chosen to feature, and 2) the items on the menu, because there are only a few of them, are going to be outstanding. This is true with Mesh’s menu — at least with the brunch menu, which is what we ordered from when we visited. We got the biscuits and gravy and the eggs Benedict, and both were amazing. The portion sizes were perfect, the flavors were excellent and everything was cooked well. If you’re going to offer brunch, you need to have excellent coffee, and thank goodness Mesh knows how to brew a decent cup of coffee. I’d like to visit gain to try out their lunch and dinner menus!

So, full disclosure I have only been to mesh a handful of times due to overlooking it or not being dressed accordingly for a restaurant that gives off a «dressy casual» vibe. This summer during a Sunday morning I ventured over to Mesh with a gaggle of friends to enjoy brunch, after more hemming and hawing I selected the monkey bread. After a short wait considering how packed both the patio and inside dining area was I was greeted with the sweet smell of warm caramel on bread doused in butter. After taking several pictures for snapchat and Instagram respectively I took a bite of what promised to be sinful option that I would later regret at the gym. Fortunately for my figure, unfortunately for my appetite the monkey bread left me disappointed. The bread was dry and lacked flavor other than on the outside perimeter, the caramel sauce was gritty as if the sugar hadn’t completely dissolved. The presentation was rustic and simple but the overall taste didn’t leave me satiated. The service that day I must say was wonderful, our waiter stayed calm and kept a smile throughout the madness that is Sunday brunch. I like Mesh but have high hopes that in the future they will offer more vegetarian/vegan options as currently the menu is meat/dairy heavy. p. s. When dining in for dinner, check out the extensive wine list with both bold and well rounded wines from across the world

When it comes to good food, good location, and good variety I always head to Mass Ave. There are so many different places pick from, most of them being owned by the Cunningham Group. Mesh is on of my favorites. What I like about Mesh is it can be as dressed up or as casual as you would like. It’s great for those special occasions and even better for a quick stop at the bar for happy hour. For those of you who want to stop in for a quick bar bite, Mesh has a bar and happy hour menu from 4PM-6PM. The chicken taco is pretty solid as are the sweet potato fries. Meet and cheese boards is always a great option for sharing. One of my favorite appitizers is the mushroom and goat cheese strudel. The earthiness of the mushrooms combined with the pungent flavor of goat cheese is fantastic. The strudel is flakey and buttery — it all just melts in your mouth. If you want something not so fancy the pommes frites are good — it’s the dipping sauce that makes them darn good! Who doesn’t love to dip things? The dinner menu changes which is nice. The dinner specials, those can be a real treat but watch out for prices, they can be pretty expensive. There is always a beef, duck and chicken on the menu. Depending on the time of year will depend on how it is prepared. The duck with chilled soba noodles is very good. The skin on the duck could be crispier. Steak frites is a steal at $ 20. Desert is a must. I love the bread pudding. The chocolate terrine is quite good. The richness of the chocolate goes wonderfully with a glass of port. The staff at Mesh is very attentive. I have never had to wait long to see my server. The bread and dipping sauce — something everyone loves. Dinning room is nice but the best place to sit is outside on the patio. Overall a great spot! Stop in and see for yourself.

I’ve always liked the Cunningham group restaurants and Mesh is no exception. It’s a bit pricier than our usual dinner places, but for special occasions or the one-off dinner, it’s great. Even better, though, is Mesh as a late night dessert spot, which has been the purpose of most of our visits lately. The atmosphere is trendy, modern and classy. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. While the menu is somewhat limited, it is all of very high quality and the flavor is almost always spot on. One dinner item that stands out is always the scallops. Scallops can be all over the board and theirs are always cooked perfectly. As I mentioned earlier, almost all our trips in there are for drinks and dessert. Their cheese plate is kind of a build your own arrangement and I’ve yet to be let down. We always have the bread pudding when we come in. It’s like those homemade desserts your grandma used to make. Perfect texture, flavor and size. Not to mention they top it with a scoop of ice cream. My personal favorite, however, is the double chocolate stout terrine. Like a very dense brownie, this is every chocolate lover’s dream. Pair it with a glass of their delicious port wine and you’ll feel like you’ve gone to heaven. Speaking of wine, their wine list is extensive and covers just about every wine palate and comes from a wide variety of wine regions. They also offer a selection of specialty cocktails and martinis as well as a full bar. While they often have a wait for tables, the bar area is generally easy to get in.

Every meal I’ve ever had here has been just amazing! Mesh is one of the places on my short list of places to take out of town guests on a Sunday night. They also take reservations, which helps a great deal when guests have been traveling, and aren’t up for waiting for a table. I’m updating my review because at my last visit, I had the most amazing duck confit with a cornmeal-rosemary waffle and red cabbage. Oh wow! I am still thinking about this dinner, and it is nearly two weeks later. The duck was so amazingly melt-in-your-mouth tender and flavorful, and the portion was huge for the price. The waffle was the perfect crispy-outside, fluffy inside texture and was seasoned just perfectly! It can be so easy to over or under-do rosemary, but this was perfect! The red cabbage reminded me of Grandma’s, and that is a very high compliment. If you like duck confit, go get this NOW before they change the menu. We all started with the Mesh salads which are always a tasty way to start the meal. I had the salted caramel pot de crème which came served on a cutting board with two delicious cookies. The caramel crème was so creamy and delicious and the cookies were amazing as well! I always love the 50% off bottles of wine up to $ 100 on Sundays too. This is a nice bonus and is a great opportunity to try something a bit more pricey. Service is always great! Servers are knowledgeable about the menu and just attentive enough. This is a great place for a quiet, leisurely dinner on Mass Ave., and just in case anyone missed it, they are open on Sunday!

I really enjoy Mesh for Sunday brunch. There was not a wait(surprising), which made me and my party very happy. I decided to have a special; the French toast with breakfast potatoes. Everything was really good. One of my guests had the devil eggs, which they said were very delicious. They also tried the monkey bread which was pretty good too. Of course, we had to try the mimosas. They were excellent! I was surprised how strong they were. I never would have taken him Mesh as a breakfast/brunch spot. It is definitely something people should try. The deco is beautiful once your inside, no matter if you’re going to a booth or the bar. I can’t wait to try this place for lunch and or dinner soon. Lastly, I always heard meals here were to be a little bit on the pricey side. However, brunch was actually reasonably price.

What an amazing brunch! My friend and I sat outside for brunch and had an amazing time. My friend is in a wheelchair and from reservation through the meal everyone was gracious and accommodating. I got a Bloody Mary which had amazing garnish & my friend had a mimosa. I felt the Bloody Mary was worth the $ 9. I got the B.E.L.T. salad minus the E(egg) as I’m not a fan of eggs. Wow! It was a great salad and the steak cooked and seasoned perfectly. I’ll definitely be back — thank you Mesh!

Mesh, a classy establishment with overall unique dishes. Our hostess was quick and sweet. Our server the same. She was so helpful and patient as we decided what we wanted. We ordered simple; calamari and lobster bisque. Both very good, BUT I want to touch more on the lobster bisque. TODIEFOR! To give you the closest example so can… it’s like have a hole piece of tender lobster in the perfectly seasoned butter with not an overbearing taste and sipping it down! Seriously this was INCREDIBLE! I’ve had many and nothing compares to Mesh’s. The dessert was pretty good too. As our waitress put it, «pudding for adults.» That it was, simple and good with great presentation. The ambience was very pleasant too. It’s in town so plan to pay for parking. Would certainly go back of in Indi again! :)
