History

Established in 2009.

The humble beginnings of Mocha Tree Organics started to unfold in 2001 when Kimberly R. Stepp, founder and innovative director, began formulating sugar scrubs and moisturizers. At the age of 4 weeks, her youngest child was diagnosed with, and was suffering from, an extreme case of eczema. Commercial brand baby soaps, bath washes and body lotions seemed to worsen her condition. When the pediatrician discussed administering cortisone shots prior to the child’s 2^nd birthday, Kimberly realized the need to find a more natural approach to her daughter’s skincare health.

After extensive research on eczema and its possible triggers, Kimberly began designing and manufacturing skincare products that treated its worst symptoms: skin irritation, burning and itching. After using the products for 6 months, her daughter’s condition showed signs of improvement. In staying true to her personal philosophy, Kimberly launched Mocha Tree Organics to share these exceptional products with the world.
