Mode Salon

Not impressed! I went in with my cousin to have her hair done, the main stylist took 25 (give or take a few) minutes just to greet us and take us back to her station. While my cousin was under the hooded dryer, we overheard the «master stylist» talk negatively to her clients about other clients she previously had that day. Extremely unprofessional as it already was, I heard a few nasty curse words uttered. My cousin’s hair turned out sloppy, the highlights weren’t all the way to the scalp and some chunks or highlights turned out somewhat of a yellow/​orange color.

Love the ladies here! I’ve been coming to Danyelle for over 2 years, she’s excellent at making me feel beautiful! I love that I can come one place to get hair color, cut, fancy styling, waxing, make-​up, and manicures/​pedicures. They are accommodating on schedules, and I always have a relaxing time here. I’ve brought my kids in for haircuts, too. I highly recommend everyone here, but Danyelle is awesome :-)

After searching for any coupons/​specials and coming up empty, I decided to sign up for the salon’s email list. Just a few minutes later, I received an offer for a free haircut with any color service. That’s a steal which saved me about $ 50!
Upon arrival, I was asked to fill out a brief questionnaire and was given a glass of wine (bonus!). My wait time was less than five minutes before Rhonda, my stylist and the owner of Mode Salon was ready to take me back to get started.
I decided to take a big risk by going from a caramel brunette to platinum blonde at a new salon, but Rhonda listened to my needs and new exactly what she was going to do. After mixing up the color, she lifted my ends first and saved the roots for last to ensure she wouldn’t burn my scalp. We followed this up with a deep conditioning treatment that left my hair feeling awesome, not brittle as I had feared it might. Lastly, I told her I only wanted a trim and she gave me a great, face-​framing style and added texture to my ends after straightening my hair.
I am probably lucky in that I was her last client of the day and there were no other clients in the salon. Rhonda is extremely personable and fun to work with, and the quiet atmosphere (and the wine!) made for an extremely enjoyable experience.
I think I’ve found my place at Mode Salon!

This is a nail salon trying to be a spa. Never did get to mani/​pedi after worst Swedish massage ever. I have been all over the states and have never had a bad massage. It was only 45 mins but paid for an hour. Masseuse didn’t seem to know what he was doing, only did back. This was supposed to be a four hour day of luxury for me and daughter and we left after massage and facial. They didn’t have enough workers to get mani/​pedi without waiting. My facial was great by Danielle. My daughter’s was not so good. We made appt but they didn’t schedule. Massage room was so cold and loud. Could hear booming music in salon and workers laughing and talking. Not relaxing. Very very disappointed.

This was by far the best pedicure i ever had. I had been asking my fiancé to take me here for a while, but we never had the time. A few months ago for our anniversary we both finally had the time and got me a chocolate pedicure and also got his first «man pedicure» (his agreement to his pedicure came after much coaxing on my end) We were both REALLY impressed.
Upon arrival, Danielle greeted me, by name, and offered my fiancé some red wine and i had some white zinfandel. Then a little later she whipped me up a chocolate smoothie in the back, which came as part of the pedicure and was DELICIOUS.
Danielle (who did my chocolate pedicure) and Rhonda (who did Jasons’ «man pedicure) were so friendly, and I felt like they really got to know us. The pedicures lasted over an hour, and they stayed open (after their business hours) to finish up with us and we never felt rushed or uncomfortable. They massaged our legs for a long time and I the chairs were so comfy.
One thing I will say is that It is VERY expensive (Jason paid $ 65 for my «chocolate pedicure» and I think his was somewhere around $ 35) I always say «you get what you pay for» and I knew this place would be amazing. (For what he paid, this would be a WHOLE different post if it weren’t amazing) I’m originally from NYC and I don’t really trust just anyplace b/​c they aren’t always clean and I have had bad experiences at cheap/​dirty places.
I told Jason that all I want for Christmas is to come back for a whole day at Mode… so Danielle and Rhonda– I will be seeing you again :)

Mode is a fantastic salon. I’ve been going for over three years and been under the scissors of a couple of their stylists. Danielle is by far my favorite. Knowledgeable and wants to get it right and make the client happy.
This is a unique place. Very clean, very warm, very trendy. They want to make you feel like a million bucks and will work to get it right and advise you against something if it truly is not in your best interest.
You will also be entertained, because Rhonda is hilarious. she knows her clients and ensures they leave with a smile and another appointment.
If you are looking for a long term salon or just a drop in service, this is the place.

Worst eyebrow wax ever for $ 15! I should not have to go home and pluck the stray hairs. Then I left with oil all over my brows and face.

Awesome awesome awesome! I moved to Indy a year ago and thought I wouldn’t be able to find someone to do my hair. After lots of research I found the perfect place! Rhonda is the best!

I starting going to Mode Salon because they accept ‘Spa Finder’ gift cards. I had gone to DL Lowry for over ten years but I noticed the prices continually increasing at a higher rate than inflation (over 200 before tip for a highlight and cut), but they did offer you brewed starbucks coffee, tea, water, or sparkling water. However, I also grew tired of the pretentious clientele and staff. Now I get a great color and highlight from Greta at a great price (around 150 for color, highlight and cut) without the pretentiousness from others around me.

New to the city, I was looking (and still am) for «my place.» I came to Mode after some reviews on the internet. The place is small, quaint with a parking lot (not something you get when you go downtown). The people were nice, a woman (possible a stylist) was in there with her baby, although cute at first, I feel like she was distracting some of the other stylists. I got my haircut here, I was looking for something a bit fashion forward, I have medium/​long hair and wanted something different with the cut. I got a good cut, but it was really just a clean-​up of what I had before. Also, I could see the back area which was messy with colors everywhere, not too professional looking. Overall, an alright experience, friendly staff, but nothing to boast about. Good price, I believe my cut was just around $ 35, possible even a few dollars less. If you looking for something simple, clean, and for a decent price, this place would be good. If you’re looking to go beyond that, I may suggest looking to another place.

Came to Mode salon an Indiananpolis newbie, fresh off a 10-​year relationship with my Texas-​based hairdresser. Obviously, I was nervous to jump back in the game. But my young, hip stylist eased my fears, and best of all, restored my layered bangs. No wait, that wasn’t the best part – it was the $ 40 price cut from my previous stylist. No wait, it was Mode’s extended hours. It’s all good here.
