Penske Chevrolet

Another great experience from Penske Chevrolet. This is the third vehicle my family has purchased from the crew since May. Every experience has been better than the previous. I deal with the best sales consultant and manger combination in the business, Melissa Bruce and Geno Braun. In my latest experience, I was in the service department for the fifth time in four months with my Cruze for emissions related problems. Jerry Bronson did everything he could to get the vehicle working for me, and it is absolutely no fault of the service department that it didn’t work out, but having that much down time on my vehicle wasn’t going to work for me long term. I reached out to my old pals Melissa and Geno, told them the situation, and they immediately went to work to get me into something that would better suit my needs. They worked tirelessly over two days to get the numbers to work for me, I got the good news on Friday evening, and we agreed to meet on Saturday morning. Dale McDowell in the business office had me in and out in no time. I was handed back to Melissa for a detailed yet efficient delivery, and off I went. Another great service and purchasing experience at Penske Chevy. Do not hesitate to go to Penske for your next vehicle purchase, make sure to ask for Melissa Bruce, and tell her Paul K. sent you, then when you need your first oil change, make an appointment with Jerry Bronson. That is, unless you don’t like a great deal with a no pressure and friendly environment.

We were in the market for a new corvette we’re looking for the Daytona orange sunrise metallic Corvette. Penske did not have one on a lot however the sales person that we worked eith, Rachel was able to find one in Louisville KY. It was exactly what we wanted. She was able to trade a are on the Penske lot and get the car for us. Great sales person. Great service. I would highly recommend Penske and especially using Rachel as your sales person

I had my first experience with a dealership’s service department and Penske Chevrolet did not disappoint. I found the facility to be exceptionally clean and so were the technicians. The waiting room was very accommodating to customers. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and helpful. I also found their limited posted prices on services to be reasonable based on the going prices in Indy. I certainly will be returning for oil changes in the near future.

Had my 2013 Equinox, which I happily bought there, towed in for service on April 26 and got very little service the following week and finally had it fixed by May 5. That’s 10 days! Upon picking it up, the car was filthy dirty — like it had been in a dust/​pollen storm. After driving it for two days, I went to pull some quarters out of the change bucket I keep in the center console and it was completely empty. One day later, it overheated on the interstate, had to be towed again and several days passed again (while I was using one of their loaner cars — WHICH WAS GREAT) and no input. I finally got fixed after FOUR days. Never again.

I took my Pontiac there to get a recall fixed. They were very professional and courteous. It did take a littler longer than originally estimated but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Their waiting area could be a little nicer but they did have free water and snacks. Coffee would have been a plus. I work in the auto field and they seem to have it together.

Penske has an A+ service department. I live 5 minutes away from a Chevy dealer, but make the hour drive to Penske because they actually believe in customer service! My malibu has been in their shop twice in the last month and each time they gave me a loaner vehicle and kept me up to date on what was going on with my car. They are by far the best Chevy dealer I’ve ever be to!

I was greeted professionally and quickly even though it was around lunch hour and they were lightly staffed. My vehicle was completed when promised. It was a great experience. Their service department seems to have it dialed in.

Despite having made an appointment in advance, I had to wait well over two hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Ridiculous! When I asked the representative what good appointments were, he replied that it got me into line, implying otherwise I would have been turned away. My first visit to Penske and likely my last! As a data point, the day before I took my Toyota Camry to Butler Toyota (right across the street). Same service (oil change and tire rotation), less than one hour.

Bought a 2011 Chevy Silverado with 80K miles. Previous owner took pretty good care of it. Pleased with the truck so far. It has been about 7 months. The back right window stopped working after a few days which is a negative. From what i have experienced and heard is the service team is garbage, full of excuses, and have attitude. I take mine to Hare Chevy in novlesville for service. Great customer service. So moral of the story here is decent vehicle selection but shitty service team. Good news is that you can take your vehicle to any Chevy location.

The facility, customer waiting room, and car service is great.
The only thing that really bugs me and I noticed last time since another couple was complaining is, there is no order when you drive you’re car into the building for service.
I’ll park my car and then stand their looking for someone to assist me but everyone is busy. Many people will walk right by and not say «hello» or «have you been helped with.» There needs to be a take a number system or a roped off area to wait in line. Thanks

I felt like the service manager was trying to rush me. I wasn’t asked if I had any questions. The experience certainly didn’t stand out above satisfactory. Honestly, I’ll probably go back to Bill Estes Chevrolet in the future for anything. My wife and I have had a more personal and positive experience with the Service Managers at Bill Estes. M~

Came here looking at a 2006 corvette they had on the lot. The presentation wasn’t great to say the least. It looks like they just put it on the lot. Their was gum on the carpet and wax residue all over the car and swirls in the paint. I still decided to try and make a deal, but after two separate days of trying it was a no go. They low balled me on my trades and kept trying to explain why they would only give me so much «like I cared». When they finally realized I wasn’t going to back down the respect and professionalism went away and basically told me to leave. The same day I found a nicer, cleaner well displayed 2006 corvette with less miles at another dealership and got an amazing deal including way more for my trades. Would not recommend Penske to anyone. It’s almost like they prey on the weak and when they realize you’re not they want nothing to do with you. This review is strictly about the sales department only.

I purchased a used car from Dave Zach and he was great to work with. After having it at home for a couple days, I noticed there was a weird crease in the hood that I had not noticed at the time I bought it. I called to ask if they would look at it, since if I had noticed, I would have worked with them to get that body work into the deal. They took a look at it and told me to go get estimates and they would reimburse me for the cost of the agreed upon repair. It was around $ 400 and they said they would get a check sent to me. This is TOP NOTCH customer service. The damage was on the car when I bought it and it was my responsibility to notice that, but it was an honest oversight and they made it right. They will definitely earn my return business. Dale McDowell was also wonderful to work with on the financing. Great overall experience. Thanks, Penske!

Online appointment system is nice, but it unfortunately doesn’t guarantee a quick appointment. Would prefer better communication from their service staff, as I had no idea the status of my car for a few hours.
Penske is great, and overall I am pleased with their staff, but would prefer more accurate wait times as I could have elected to get a ride home instead of spending my day here.

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a car with Penske. My sales consultant Dale McDowell was wonderful and would recommend him to anyone. They were very helpful and accommodating and helpful to the moment I walked onto the lot, to the moment I left with my new car.

Was turned away from the service department because they couldn’t replace a hubcap on my company vehicle. They closed in 45 minutes. The entire service team was watching a youtube video on a phone. Very disappointed with the customer service at the service department.

I haven’t purchased a vehicle from them but did get service here. After over $ 1,000 to repairs on my vehicle, it turned out that there was something that they fixed, but put in a bad part so this device wouldn’t work properly. It was my cruise control and it would turn off while driving or wouldn’t turn on at all. It turned out that they put in a bad part but they fixed it again and it worked just fine. They did not charge me for the second service call. They do have a courtesy vehicle to take you to work if you need to drop off your car.

My experience was with buying a pre-​owned vehicle here, later I’ll review the service shop when I come back for an oil change and tire rotation.
While I can’t quite give it 5 stars, I would say with the right people, you will have a good experience and swift resolution to any problems. We ran into issues with the people helping us when we first arrived. It went really pleasant up until the financing and talking #‘s. Luckily, there was someone who stepped in that really turned a huge negative into a positive.
Alan Asher went out of his way to correct our situation. Also, Melissa was super awesome, as she put a lot of effort into explaining anything we’d ever want to know about the car to get us set up with things. I had a really pleasant experience talking to them. I would definitely give both 5 stars!
You’d be hard pressed to run across a car buying experience without some bumps along the way, but the important part is how they handle that. I wanted to believe that Penske Chevrolet was different than other dealerships, and Alan certainly proved that they can be. The process is supposed to be entirely transparent from financing to the nitty gritty purchase details, without pressure or discrimination. He explained everything along the way, so I never felt in the dark. He put so much effort into keeping in contact about the banks decision w/​financing.
I’m glad he took initiative to call me and try to sort out how he could help. When you’re really upset by something, that’s all you want is an apology & an offer of help, you know? I liked that he listened and understood without being fake.
Fear not if you look like an artist/​alternative (ie: not corporate in appearance) as you will feel welcome by both Alan & Melissa especially. They’re sincerely friendly, and that’s hard to find with car dealers these days. I wish we’d seen Alan straight from the start! Penske is lucky they have them both around.
Quicktip: Alan’s not usually in on Fridays, Melissa loves music + sound equipment.
Quicktip #2: I would still be a bit wary of the financial guy. Ask for Alan if you have any issues right away, don’t put up with poor behavior.
I appreciate more than they’ll ever know that somehow, someway, we were still able to go through with the purchase of the car we really wanted to take home with us. I can’t properly describe how it feels to have the keys in your hand and a new trusty steed to rely on for a really fair price. The GM Certification will be handy, too.
I would go back to see Alan & Melissa because they were friendly, sincere, and truly care about what they do. Their passion is contagious.

I scheduled a service appointment; they were very friendly on the phone. My car broke down before making it to the service appointment, so I had to cancel it. BUT their online appointment system was really easy to use!
I will do business with next time!
