This is so good. Prices are reasonable. I love the food truck set up. It’s like looking into and actual parlor, watching them make the pie. Prices are under 12 dollars from what they had available today. Very nice set up. This would great for the spring summer and early fall before it gets too cold. Great job and glad to see my college buddy doing well with his business. He had my full support. See my pie!

The truck itself is super impressive as a big double decker! The pizza was awesome. At food truck Friday we got the specialty slice which had fig, prosciutto, brie and arugula on it. Perfectly yummy crust and fun toppings. Will eat again if I see it out and about.

Among my food truck stops during my GenCon 2015 tour was a dinner taken at the imposing monolith of Pi. Lucky for me, I managed to catch Pi on one of the off-hours, with the line moving quickly and efficiently. Pi’s truck is massive. With two workers in the«pits» taking and serving out orders, the upper deck of the restaurant features numerous cooks plying their trade and a massive stone pizza oven. I hate to wonder what the gas mileage on that truck actually is! But, I’m no car expert. I’m here for the food! And wow… food, glorious food. While Pi wasn’t serving pizza that time out, they did offer a phenomenal special: a porchetta sandwich, featuring a pork-belly wrapped marinated pork, coated with a delectable chimichurri sauce. I opted for that without hesitation, adding on an order of mini-cannoli. Oh, man… so good! The sandwich itself was layered with delectable piggy flavor, with the homemade bread providing a perfect backdrop for the chimichurri sauce. My cannoli were sweet(though not over-sweet; the cream cheese filling had a tart bite that was refreshing) and dusted generously with powdered sugar and a drizzle of nutella. Om nom nom, indeed! My only issue with Pi was that a $ 22 total was a bit much for a food truck in my eyes. While the food was phenomenal – and I don’t mind paying for phenomenal food – it’s a bit spendy for the setting. My stomach and I don’t regret it, though!

I haven’t had pizza this good since Amsterdam in ’06, and I’ve been dreaming of it every since. It’s a very European pizza pie, super thin, amazing ingredients-simply done. I had to take mine to go and eat it over an hour later, after reheating in my oven; it was so good but I can’t wait to have it straight from the truck oven next time.

Cool concept. Not your typical American pizza. Light on the toppings but still good. Not your usual toppings.

So the only thing cool is the truck. I honestly think the dough is horrible very thin crust. There is no substance to the pizza. I pick it up I can see the pizza sauce which is not much. The cheese is not best. God forbid your pizza sits 5 minutes the cheese immediately gets stiff. Sorry I will not try this pizza again

PI came to my office today and I couldn’t have better things to say about it. The truck itself will set it apart from all of the rest. Being able to see through it to see the food being made is a really cool feature. I shared a pizza and the Brie Burger with a friend. The pizza was awesome because of the fresh dough and ingredients that they use. The burger was insane. It was cooked perfect and was served on an awesome pretzel bun. That took it to the next level was the thick cut bacon, strips of brie, and poblano aioli to give it the perfect kick. PI has set the bar high for all other trucks.

The Truck: Think open kitchen concept. You have a clear view into the truck and can watch your meal being built from scratch; to the left you can see pizzas being baked in a wood-fired oven and to the right you can drool over burgers being assembled right before your eyes. All of this is happening inside a converted freight container on wheels. Best designed food truck award would immediately go to Pi Indy. Food: I shared a 3rd& Inches pizza and a Brie Burger with my dining companion. The pizza was very fresh and very delicious topped with bacon, goat cheese, sausage, pepperoncinis, rosemary, roasted tomato, onions, and a mystery spicy red sauce drizzle. I loved the thin crust and the spiciness in this pie. The star of the show however was the Brie Burger… holy smokes… probably one of the best burgers I have had. I tried to eat the whole thing as quickly as I could but my companion smacked it from my hands and ran off with my delicious burger. I loved the poblano aoli and the pickles which I was told were all hand made. The burger was served with your basic potato chips. Nothing too exciting there. What was exciting was menu item Hippie Pi. I didn’t get to try it but it’s next on my list… roasted marshmallows, peanut butter, nutella, topped with mixed berries. That sounds like pure bliss!

I tried their make your own pizza with bacon, fennel sausage, onions and their special garlic sauce(it has a name but I don’t recall). The dough is thin crust and for $ 8.5 I could put all those ingredients i mentioned above. Ah and the drink was included in that price! It was TASTY! I ordered from a food truck so I won’t comment on their service. But if they visit our office campus again, I would surely eat again. Note their Brie Bacon burger also got rave reviews from a co-worker!

About 5 years ago, the food truck scene in Indy was exploding. Everywhere you looked, there was a food truck. There was always a new one, and there were always lines. Flash forward to current day. The number of new food trucks has slowed considerably, and some of the popular ones have started to disappear. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a new one. Until yesterday when I ran into Pi Indy. I arrived a tad early for an event at Union Brewing in Carmel and wanted to grab something to eat beforehand. I had hoped there would be some kind of food I could grab and noticed Pi Indy parked out back along the Monon. Dinner had been decided. Having never seen Pi Indy before, I didn’t quite know what to expect. The food truck is a modified shipping container that looks kind of awesome. You can’t miss it, that’s for sure! I decided on the Indiana Corn Pi($ 12). This pizza was amazing with sausage, fresh corn, jalapeño, cheese and a nice and light crust. It was the perfect size for dinner and was absolutely delicious. Definitely a repeat the next time I see them out and about!
