Poor Man’s Towing and Repair

If their service is any indication of their driving then I will never use them. The driver of one of their cars cut me off twice then took off going at least 15 over the speed limit. Ridiculous.

So, to update, I called Albert Lindsey. He is the owner. I explained to him that my husband is at least 10x nicer than me and now I will be dealing with him. First off, he hung up on me. He thought that i was through complaining when i had asked him a question. He then called me «Sweetie.» A major no-​no when doing business. I explained that he keeps adding things with an «extra fee» that sound fishy. in the 9 years since we bought our car, it has only had trouble starting once before and that was a year ago when we bought a battery. They do NOT have any tester machines for any parts (battery/​starter/​etc) so any parts that need anything else but a bolt needs to be sent out for testing. I also explained to him that «updates» letting a customer know that the repair will take longer is CUSTOMARY. He informed me that updating customers on «every little thing» (like that it will take awhile to get a part or that they don’t do that exact job that you hired them for) is bugging people and he doesn’t do that. After I got through with him, he updated me if someone farted on the car. (Exaggerated, but you get it…) We bought a new battery, then were informed that it was the starter. I told him that after almost a MONTH I was NOT payimg extra fees and that only one thing was wrong with my car until HE touched it. Long story short («too late!») he didn’t charge me anything extra and my car is, so far… after 2 days, working great. Every conversation with him, though, will make him more defensive than a Defensive End. He has NO customer service skills and his mechanics have never met each other. He offered me another service and I would rather pay the full price elsewhere then take his almost 50% discount. His «office» (read-​shithole) is wallpapered with pics of himself, articles about himself and an award. He is awfully proud of his horrible service. WARNING: He doesn’t look anything like the pics anymore!

Definitely need to update my review: I’ll keep it simple. Went to get the car fixed because of a plug problem, they said I only needed a tune up. $ 300 total. 24hrs later: Over heated, need new engine rebuild.
Two stars, instead of one, because the owner is sweet.
