When my 2000 Dodge Intrepid broke down on me in September 2015… I thought to myself…“it will take you forever to find another vehicle”. It didn’t take me forever to «find» a vehicle, but for someone to give me a chance.
In my previous car haggle review about Oak Motors on the southside of Indy, I found hope at Ray Skillman Discount Center, just north of the Greenwood Park Mall.
I did an online quote for a vehicle I found in their inventory online. I had calls from a salesperson,.yadda…yadda…yadda. I went on my own after work one day and brought in some money to hold the vehicle after test driving the beauty. It is a 2007 Mercury Mariner, and so sharp– looking!!!
Ray Skillman never gave me the runaround about anything! I came back a week later with the rest of the deposit money, and then surreality sunk in. Is it true, I already have another vehicle after about 3.5# weeks of anticipation to get another one??? YES!!!
I was smiling from ear to ear, as if I got the supreme of all motor vehicles, but it was supreme to me!

I started looking for a Hyundia Genesis in December 2014. I visited 3 Hyundia dealerships and called 5. I was continually drawn back to Ray Skillman Hyundia and Jim Smith, Sales Manager. He was very knowledgable of the auto industry as a whole as well as the Genesis product. The entire staff always smiled, which was a noticeable difference from the other dealerships. We traded our Eleanor Mustang in for a 2013 Shelby with the performance package. If you are a true Mustang lover and want the proper care for your vehicle go to Ray Skillman Ford they are the only people experienced enough to touch our vehicles. John, Joey and Max are the people to talk to about your performance sports car. They are knowledgeable and very helpful. I will never deal with anybody except for this team. I would definitely buy there again. Every single person who works there is friendly, not pushy! They were more than willing to look up comparative prices at other dealers. They want more than anything for the customer to be happy. Excellent atmosphere. I felt pleased that I got a very good deal with a very good used car with only 5,000 miles. We worked back and forth on a new car too before I made a decision. They could not have been more helpful.

This place is a ripoff!!! I received a coupon from mitsubishi for $ 20 off an oil change, but the lady will not honor it! She said that they have to charge me $ 20 more to use the coupon! This place gives all dealerships a bad name! I came here because this is where I bought the car! Now they’re ripping me off!!!

Made an appointment for noon. Brought my car in on time and it took them 3 hours to do an inspection. I even had to call to see if it was fone yet. When I went to get my car they couldn’t find it. :(

My service advisor Mark is great. Always helpful and honest. Got my wife car in next day to do some major work and got it done the same day. Keeps in contact with you and listens to you! Call Mark for sure!!!

Made an appointment online which was confirmed over the phone a couple of hours later. Arrived about 10 minutes early and they got me right in. Oil change and inspection was supposed to take about an hour, and I was out the door in about 45 minutes. Friendly service, fast, and reasonably priced. What more could I ask for?

I visited Ray Skillman Southside Hyundai on a Saturday with my wife to purchase my first new car — a 2013 Hyundai Azera. Brandon Michael was our sales rep and greeted us upon entry to the lot. He was cordial, professional and did his best to accommodate our very specific needs. His manager Tom also helped facilitate negotiations around the new purchase as well as trade in. Brandon had a unique office with many conversational pieces and a good taste in music (which was played for entertainment on the multiple occasions where we had to wait). This was a nice surprise as we had come from another dealer earlier in the day where the rep was less than pleasing to work with. Hats off to Brandon for making a typically stressful experience as pleasant as possible. We were also surprised to find the exact car we wanted (a model over a year old) on the showroom floor! A happy accident for a first time car buyer. The only negative item we can speak of is the waiting time between negotiations — no getting around that if you are wanting to get the deal you want.
As with all car buying endeavors, if you have done your homework, have your finances in order, have your trade in prepped, know exactly what you want, and know what you’d like to pay (total price — not monthly payment) you’re going to be ready to negotiate the price you want and your experience will be much more successful. We ended up getting financing that was equal to what our credit union had already pre-​approved us at and we completed the transaction from start to finish in about 3 hours total. We purchased a 2013 Hyundai Azera with the AutoGuard Ultimate policy for additional coverage on all vehicle components for 100,000 miles/​10years. We would be happy to continue to do business with Ray Skillman for future car service and future new vehicle purchases.

I went back to Ray Skillman Greenwood location after I had a check engine light on, a bit weary after a bad experience previously at Ray Skillman automall Indianapolis esp the finance guy, where I bought my car.
Roy Potter the service guy immediately took care of the car, gave me a very new loaner car free of charge!
He explained to me what the cost was going to be and he went above and
have my warranty company to get them to pay for the injector which had to be replaced.
I am very impressed with the service in this Ray Skillman location. However, I would avoid the Ray Skillman auto mall in Indy though as they are very rude and are not willing to work with you.
