Decent bar & lounge, pretty bright and open, good place to meet up with larger group.

Tried Reata’s for the first time today with a group of co-workers. Might be ok if you order the right things. Chili was $ 7 for a small cup, mealy, greasy and just ok. Either needs to be served over pasta of some sort or only offer it as a side in that small a size. Taco’s are small and for the same price, no where near the same quality of other places that serve similar types. The burgers and pulled pork sandwiches did look good and they got favorable reviews from our co-workers. Staff was quick and very nice. Music was a little loud but not terrible. The one thing Reata’s really has going for it is they are one of only a few ‘Western’ bars/restaurants in Indy. If they upped the quality of their food it would be a popular spot for those who enjoy the country atmosphere, as it stands now, most of us wouldn’t go back because the food was really lacking.

While they do have a limited menu, they have the basics: soups, salads, burgers, chicken wings, nachos, tacos, and mac& cheese. I was a little uneasy that the place was almost empty when I walked in around lunchtime, but I have wanted to give this place a try and I wasn’t disappointed. I had heard the mac and cheese was amazing so my friend and I ordered the mac & cheese for an app and I got a burger. I was pretty happy with the burger, it was good and a little crispy on the outside which I loved. The fries were also really crunchy, but they didn’t have much seasoning so they needed a bit of salt. The mac & cheese was the best so I defiantly recommend getting that! It was good and cheesy, but I felt like I should’ve gotten a bigger bowl of it for the price it is. Overall the food was good and I would probably come back just for the mac and cheese. The guy that waited on us was also really friendly and helpful which is another plus for this place.

This has to be my favorite country bar in Indianapolis. The staff is amazing and the food is top notch. It’s a place you have to go if your ever in town.

I’m going to give this place a few weeks to get their act together and then I’ll update my review. We checked this place out thinking it was a Mexican place — it’s southwestern, but they did have tacos. First, it was freezing in there. We all had to put our jackets back on. The server was friendly and the pace was good for a work day lunch. However, the server was clearly stressed out, apologized a bajillion times because someone had called off and she was all by herself. Perhaps she is new, but wow, her stress made us anxious. The menu was pretty limited — not sure if this is because they are new and just getting the hang of things and it will expand later or if this is really the entirety of what they plan. There were 4 or so apps, 4 tacos, 3 salads, a couple of sandwhiches/burgers and chili/soup. In our group there was: an order of chicken nachos — this person won lunch, hands down. Those things were huge and looked tasty. a southwestern salad — this was also very good, filling and a good price a burger — just a run of the mill burger, nothing particularly southwestern about it mac and cheese — no… this was crazy expensive for how much comes in a ‘appetizer’ portion and the person who ordered it said it wasn’t great a bowl of chili — this looked tasty, but was $ 6 or so for a small bowl. I’m told that’s probably about the right price No one ordered tacos because they are $ 4 each!!! That’s even more than Bakersfield and I thought that wasn’t possible. They had several cocktails on the menu and the place is huge. Do they really just want to be a bar?

I’ll have to update this one later. I didn’t try any of the food, but what I saw coming out from the kitchen did look tasty. My friends say their food is pretty good. The staff was friendly and service was good. They have a nice sized dance floor and the dj was good. Played a lot of country music so we did some line dancing. The place was pretty empty, but it’s also still new. Hopefully, it’ll take off. I plan to go back for some eats, drinks and of course, some line dancing.

This place is fantastic! We had just a couple hours to kill but I had been dying to check it out. First of all the layout and décor is nothing short of genius… the staff was super friendly and down to earth like it should be everywhere in Indiana. We had the nachos and to die for Mac and Cheese(highly recommend) super fresh and unique flavor. I can’t wait to go back and get on the dance floor!!! Derrick rocks! Plus…where can you get Gumball Head on tap!!! Reata:) you’re welcome!

I must say, it was a Friday evening, there was a pacers game, and we were heading to a new restaurant. I was worried that we were going to have to wait for 1 – 2 hours. But to my surprise; we were the only ones there! The reason for my four star review is: — the food was five stars. The tacos are a bit overpriced(think Bakersfield tacos side but more customizable and about the same price). — the Mac n Cheese was amazing — get the chipotle ranch and the hot sauces and add them to the Mac n Cheese to make it even better! — the margarita was soooo expensive and didn’t have any tequila in it from what we could taste. Either it was blended so well or there was hardly any liquor.(I’m leaning towards the latter.) — I would give the décor 3 stars. It feels like it was half thrown together with extremely low thought and effort put into the décor. The atmosphere makes a place and if you’re going for a country sports bar, you need to have more than just country music playing. — the bathrooms are a nice little surprise. Don’t get in the middle one — you can basically see thru it! Haha I went in with no expectations, which was a good thing. I have to say, I loved their tacos — one of the best mini-sized tacos I’ve had in Indy.(I have the veggie.) I also wish it was a bit more eco friendly. We received random assortments of plastic ware and all of our taco sides came in side dishes. While I understand it’s probably to make the serving time faster, it’s killing the environment and I would have been content with it all on a plate. The drinks need work, but the food is great! Definitely be back. They just need to work on getting business into the door!

I stopped in before the Colts game last weekend. Food was great! We got nachos, tacos, and Mac n cheese. Servers all super friendly. And the place was crowded. Good to see for a new restaurant!

Great country bar downtown Indy! Solid mix of great food(Mac and cheese will make your knees buckle). Huge bourbon selection, and an awesome vibe at night when the party starts and the DJ comes on. Nothing else like it in Indianapolis!

Something new to downtown that brings great food and drinks. My favorite food is the macaroni and cheese, cheeseburger, fries and nachos. Favorite drink is the apple pie moonshine. They even have Three Floyds beer on tap. The staff is very friendly and with a ton of tv’s on the wall, you will never miss a game. I will definitely be going back.

Such a fun place to be. Nice staff and very cool décor. Food-wise, the LOADEDFRIES are my favorite. Finally a restaurant smart enough to put these(the loaded nachos too) on a flat plate/tray instead of letting them get soggy at the bottom of the pile! Each bite holds a perfectly proportionate mélange of toppings. Brilliant! The wings are great too. I always love options: Hot Buffalo, Chipotle Dry Rub and Sweet BBQ.
