Always a great beer selection and their food menu is huge! A little overwhelming but everything I have ever had tasted great!

I was enticed by the menu and great options. Service came up short thought. Our waitress was short and not very friendly. To really disappoint us she didn’t even offer us the chance to order desert! Just brought the check left. Also we wanted to ask questions about their beers… which they make In house and we got a rude«ID please» Food and beer was good with decent prices otherwise.

I get to Indy on a regular basis. Rock Bottom is always on my list of places to eat. Great food, great beer and friendly staff!

Came by for dinner on a weekday, and had a pleasant experience. Without a reservation, there was plenty of seating. We were seated immediately. The server was great. He was prompt and even helped with our selection of drinks. When we were undecided, he even brought us a taste of a selection of beers. The food was okay. The sides were good, I tried the mashed potatoes and black beans. Despite the food being advertised as prepped on site, the burger was frozen in the middle. The tomato, which I pulled out had probably been sitting in the wrong part of the fridge, and was a bit icy. The burger was still edible, as the party itself was cooked. Overall a decent dining experience, nothing to write home about.

Had the chicken fried chicken. It was delicious and a big portion. The service was excellent and the place was beautiful. I didn’t try the beer but the guys I was with liked them.

Solid bar food and excellent craft beers. I just don’t understand the menu bragging about a full pint beer in a 20 ounce glass with a head when the menu doesn’t offer a pint beer?!

You would say is it 4’s or are you at 3 ½ and I can’t find one bad thing about our experience there. I ordered a Scotch Ale that seemed but it had a solvable drinking finish on the beer, begging me to order a second which confirmed my notion that it was a great Beer(Naughty Scotch ale). I eat chicken & Salads so I ordered that which came with black bean, cheddar, corn and a tempura green onion which really got my attention. There was a spicey element to it but wasn’t sure where that was in the greens. Great dressing and fresh greens. The other 5 conventioneers seemed equally happy to be eating and drinking its craft beer made on site. One friend order steak with a salad and Mac & Cheese. Mac & Cheese was great and steak. was prepared«perfect». The whiner in the group ordered nachos and didn’t mind almost licking the plate. Our server seemed well prepared and was apparently training another newbie. Service went without a hitch. I would go back and try the fish or even a burger.

Quickie Review: With a name like Rock Bottom that’s what you can expect. For a lunch hour that was pretty much dead our food was slow to come out. I will say our waiter was very attentive, but almost annoyingly so. Instead of remembering to refill our water he would instead come back to chat; which we really didn’t want to do due to time constraints. I will also say that for the price I was expecting way more. To pay $ 14 for a chicken sandwich and fries where I only received around 10 fries is kind of a ripoff. Speaking of the chicken sandwich I have to say it’s one of the worst ones I ever had. The only adjectives I can think of in describing it are tough, slimy and tasteless. I don’t know how it can be all three at once, but somehow it was. As I’ve said before, maybe I need to stop judging my first impression of a new place off of how they make their chicken, but with it being a pretty basic thing to get right you’d think they’d do that. Maybe they’ll get a second try, but not for a long time.

The restaurant is very quiet and dimly light. It is perfect for the adults or families trying to get away from the bar crowds. The dark house beer was fantastic. I ordered the Cuban cristo sandwich, which was a little strange, but good. The onion rings and jalapeño sweet sauce was pretty good as well.

Rock Bottom has kind of gone downhill for me over the years. A few years ago when I first started working downtown, it was always packed at lunchtime. Now, after getting rid of their lunch menu, I’ve found that not to be the case.(RIP pizza and salad combo!!) On my most recent visit, my friend and I were the only ones in the bar at lunch time. The first thing I noticed was that their menu had changed and that the prices were more expensive. This really is one of my favorite places to grab a salad — they have a lot of really good ones, the Santa Fe Ranch Chicken and Smoked Tomato and Kale Caesar being two of my favorites. My coworkers rave about the Jalapeño Pretzel Stix, but I’ve never had them. With that being said, I think the food is good, but there are definitely places to better spend your dollars downtown. I had to ask our server for a refill on water, which is no biggie, but when I did he looked at me like I had just asked for something outlandish. No, just wanting you to do your job! Definitely would come back(most likely in the summer when you can sit outside!), but probably only if others suggested it. A place I could definitely take or leave among the amount of options Indy has to offer.

This restaurant has been here for a long time and I can see why. They have a nice pizza oven that turns out great crusts(crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle). It’s right on the Cultural Trail so access is very easy. Lunch service is pretty fast so you can easily get in and out during your lunch hour.

I’ve visited Rock Bottom a few times and have never been impressed with the food. Most recently, I ordered the bacon and chicken mac and cheese. The chicken was soggy. The cheese was soupy. For a $ 15 dish, they could really do better. My friend got the bison burger, which he said was ok. It was small and equally expensive. Rock Bottom is a brewery with a decent selection of beer, so perhaps that’s where they hang their hat, but there are better places nearby to eat if you’re more interested in quality food.

I’m partial to their Mac n Chicken. So yummy! Chased it with their Naughty Scot Ale. Overall a great experience. Pretty quiet on a Saturday at 12:30, but parking was easy!

Let me just start by saying that the menu is MASSIVE. As an indecisive person, it was a little overwhelming. That being said, it’s very diverse, offering something for everyone. Their flatbread pizzas are delicious — highly recommend. On the lighter side, I also really like their Baja Chicken Sandwich. Their beer is decent, but I think there are better breweries in town(granted, there is some pretty stiff competition in Indy’s micro-brewery scene). Ambiance is nice — casual, but classy. There is a bar area with a big screen TV, great for watching sporing events — but also a lot of booths and tables away from the TVs. I’ve been there with co-workers, my family, and on a date, so it’s very versatile in that sense.

I liked this place. Atmosphere is great, service was good, food was okay. I got the chicken tortilla soup… And it was nasty. I barely ate it. There was hardly any chicken… Just broth and soggy tortilla strips with stringy pieces of chicken. Waitress did well with making sure waters were filled. Mac and cheese was quite good, and the wedge salad was okay, although I think they use bacon bits from a grocery store packet. That’s what it tasted like. The wedge was fresh, but small for the price. :( Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food. Burgers looked good. Restrooms were messy. Big, open windows make a great view for the street. I’d give it three, husband gives it four. Next time, I’ll order Mac and cheese or a burger instead their menu fillers :-/

Do not order any of the sliders. They definitely leave something to be desired. $ 6.95 is a bit too much for 2 sliders that have a meat sliver the size of your finger. The crab dip appetizer is very good! But again it’s over $ 10. This place is quite pricey.

Cool little place in the center of the city. Rhe ambiance isnt stuffed with a lot of kitch like so many of the cities other places, a refreshing change. A nice varied beer menu gives you something to come back for. Went for a tasting of several, not everything came in my taste. But to each his own. Food was a very standard but with an added twist of using their own brews to augment a lot of the seasoning. It works quite well, and the execution is good, if not original. Good taste and nice portions. Service was very friendly and not to smothering. I will have this in mind for another visit.

We were in town for a concert and had time to kill, so we walked downtown. Rock Bottom has a location in Cincinnati that I’ve visited, so when I saw this one I felt comfortable suggesting it to my friends. The food was good. I had the El Diablo pizza which is just as spicy as you would think. There’s spice in the sauce, cheese, meat, and then jalapeños on top to heat up your mouth even more. I love spicy foods and this was definitely something worth having a second time. Of course we had to try some beer while here as well. I had their house brewed pale ale that was on tap. Pretty hoppy, which I like., but outside of that wasn’t an impressive flavor. They only had a couple of guest beers on tap which I understand since they make their own, however I would have liked to see more. Our server had mentioned she was fairly new, but she still did a great job. Very friendly and helpful and when she messed up my friend’s beer order she quickly fixed it and comped him for it. Overall a decent place. Good food, nice staff.

Great food, amazing service, reasonably priced, with an incredible location. What more could you ask for? A newer menu come Spring has new drinks, food, and twists on old favorites. Chicken Fried Chicken was amazing and I highly recommend trying the Fire Chief Red Ale. You won’t be disappointed!

Great customer service! Stopped in with a group of 16 today(with only 5 minutes notice) and we were immediately seated and swiftly taken care of. Our server was great — friendly(even with having to serve a huge group!), knowledgeable, and ONIT(didn’t miss a thing and all orders came out correctly). Huge plus for a group that large. Food was good. I had the veggie burger made with oats, rice, pinto and black beans and beets. Could’ve used a bit more spices, but then again I’m über particular when it comes to veggie burgers. Everyone else was pleased with their dishes. Overall, nothing bad to say! Friendly, accurate service, interesting menu options and tasty food.
