Easily my favorite Saturday night spot. The venue is smaller than most clubs downtown but the DJ makes up for that. The cover charge is usually on $ 5 and it can get jammed packed closer to the end of the night but that’s usually when I’m ready to leave.

Social is a decently sized venue which has a urban warehouse feel. A group of friends and I came here last night and the DJ(I am sorry to say I forgot his name) was amazing. The bartenders made really great drinks and the seating was comfortable. Also, it was Drake night and the club had Drake face sticks on the table — I had a great time with them. However, as the night progressed, the crowds began pouring in. It was at that moment where the size of the venue become an issue — it was packed like a sweaty room of sardines. This is no fault of the establishment but I had to leave in order to have fresh air. I would think about visiting Social again sometime in the fire.

My favorite night out! I’ve been here a few times and have always had great experiences. Keeps pretty busy throughout the night, but the bartenders to a great job at keeping up. Drinks are always perfect! They have lots of seating toward the entrance and along the side. Great place to chat and hang out with a group. If you’d rather dance, head back toward the DJ. There is always a good mix of people here and guaranteed a good time.

First time here and thought it was a neat little spot. However, it was pretty dead. I really don’t care for a big crowd, since I’m mainly there for drinks and to chat with the people I arrived with. This spot is neat for hanging out with the people you came with, not so much for meeting new folks. It may have been only the night I went, but I am reviewing based on my experience that night. My big plus was that they were pretty generous with the alcohol! I only take shots and didn’t fell like I got shorted!!! Cool place, cool people bad music but overall fun!

Great music. Fun crowd! Bartenders all seem bored and frustrated that they have customers. #enjoyurjob#claimunemployment#suckyservice #girlsTIP2

Visited the Social last night while downtown and it was alright. This bar is a little more upscale than many in Indy and is full of young professionals(at least that’s what I took of them). The drinks aren’t especially cheap and my go-to drink, a Tequila Sunrise was more like tequila minus the sunrise. For the price, I feel like I should have gotten a great drink, especially since it’s easy to make. The DJ was great and the music was 90s night on Friday, which would have made for a great ladies night, if I wouldn’t have been surrounded by my boyfriends friends. :)

Only been to Social a handful of times but had a good experience each time. Last couple of visits I was there for a party w/a local social networking group. Compare to other clubs along Meridian, Social just feels more upscale w/a better mix of crowds. You will find college-types and young professionals all having a good time. During my later visits, they added more couches for seating which was a great idea. If you are more inclined to dance, you can head to the back of the club where the DJ is stationed. If you just wanna chill w/some friends, you can find some seats and just lean back for a minute. There was no cover charge the last time I was there, but that’s probably because we were there kinda early. Drinks are slightly more expensive but there are specials during the week if you ask. I have heard from people that Social is hard to find. It’s located diagonally across from the Omni Severin hotel, or right around the corner from Ike and Jonesy’s.

A group of us went here for a sponsored party and it was a pretty good time for the most part. It’s downtown, so it has that charm to it, but along with that charm, comes a high price! The club is pretty expensive. There is a cover and the drinks aren’t cheap in the least. Even shots of well vodka are around $ 6. Hesitate before you buy rounds! Domestic bottles are also pretty expensive, around $ 4 or $ 5. The music was pretty good and there were lots of people there. The music was decent, it varied between club and radio music. There is an outside smoking area, which is good for downtown, and it is pretty spacious. The bartenders were very nice, even though they were swamped with customers. I’d highly recommend drinking somewhere else before you go to drink here to limit your cost.

Cute bar! There was live music-on every hour, the guy would say, «IIIIIttt’sSocial time!!» and kind of toast the air. No one else was doing it along with him. I’m sure he is supposed to do it, but maybe some instructions???

I was in Indianapolis for a conference and I ended up here for the last 30 minutes. From what I can remember, I had a good time. The music wasn’t bad or too loud. There was a good variety of people. All in all, good times.

I have to say this wasn’t the typical downtown bar I expected it to be. I was very pleasantly surprised by the layout and the atmosphere. it is not too big to get lost in and everyone was extremely friendly. Nice little bar to have some cocktails and be able to converse without screaming.

I attended the soft opening for Social this evening and I have to say, this is the first bar in a long time that would make me want to go out in Downtown Indy. There is NOSMOKING which I loved. There was no horrible rap music playing or random ill placed dance floor. What it did have were plenty of places to sit/stand with your friends, very comfortable bar stools, nice bar staff and tall, tall tin ceilings and thick crown molding. The vibe is chill and laid back… a Downtown address, but tucked away from the chaos of Meridian Street. This was the first night open, but I hope that this place maintains its current feel and not fall victim to the stereotype of over lounge style bars in Downtown Indianapolis.
