I love all things cajun, and this is a great spot for«fast food» cajun. Their ettoufee offerings are amazing, and the cheesy bread is mouth-watering. I love the laid-back atmosphere, and you simply can’t beat the price!

Don’t let the long line fool you, once you order the food will be out before you get to your seat. Great service! Tasty dishes!

Simply… the best. Crawfish Etouffe is the premier dish. The guys that work here rock. Awesome food and peanut butter pie is a must try!

Always amazing food and fast. Great for a busy work day. Jambalaya and drunken chicken half and half. Order extra bread. Definitely worth it.

I love their veggie options. Staff is friendly, food is always amazing. Love the stickers on the tv and the ice dispenser. My entire family loves to eat here. Always a favorite and the price is right. My only gripe is that some locations offer large portions while others places offer relatively small ones. Depending on who is serving the plates up this could be a great deal or just a decent one. Also, sometimes you do not get the bread that is supposed to come with each order and they offer no vegan desserts. At the end of the day the food has always been consistent in flavor and always delicious, small portion or large. Thanks.

First time visiting. Had the vegan chili. It was tasty. Not as spicy as I expected but it was good. Restaurant was clean and inviting. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back.

If you’re looking for something different I highly suggest this place. Have no idea what I ordered but it was really good. They’ll let you sample everything, so figure out what one you like the best and order it.

My parents love Yats. But somehow I never was able to be convinced to go with them or on a solo venture. Until one night my parents brought me dinner and I didn’t know where it was from due to the undifferentiated styrofoam container. They said it was white chicken chili and I asked no questions and just ate. And ate. I finished all of that chili. My parents were raving about the garlic bread saying it’s why they always go there… And that was just meh. Best white chicken chili in Indy(sorry but Dressel’s Pub in STL is better…) so I had to go five stars. Interesting thing about doing a take out review is that’s all the review is about: the food. And that chicken chili was where it was at. Keep it simple. Keep it tasty. We might become friends Yats.

Being a former Indy resident I always try and make a point to stop at Yatz. Its such a nice change from the basic midwest food options. Dishes are hot, filling and packed with flavor. The price is on point for quantity and quality of this food. Try the Drunken Chicken and although only made a couple times a year the Ropa Vieja is a must. All the locations have a New Orleans funky vibe with friendly service. One of Indiana’s best restaurants and steadily growing with locations across the state. Keep it up Yatz!

Had Yats cater our wedding and it was easily one of the best choices on our day. Everyone loves Yats and they were pleasantly surprised to have it at a wedding. Delicious food and amazing service to all of our guests!

Your can’t go wrong with this place. Imagine, rainy weather, slightly chilly(warm enough were to don’t need a heavy coat but still nice to have), don’t want make soup and wait to cook chili… Wait that sounds like today. Today is literally the perfect for yatz!!! What more could you ask for? The creole food is so good and you get what you pay for. I would say the best food item they have is the bread. I don’t know what they put on it, what they do to it, but it is addicting. I could easily gain 20 pounds just by the bread alone and I’m not a bread eater. This time around I got the half and half(chicken and chorizo and drunken chicken). If you aren’t sure about what you want, the will allow you to taste the food before you order that way you’ll know what you like. No one likes to put work in the kitchen to turn around and throw it away or have someone complain. Staff is nice, they deliver your food to you when it is ready. It is always worth a trip to come this way. P. S. they also have vegetarian options… not many but the main menu is small as well. And another P. S. the drunken chicken is really good but is spicy so if you do not like spicy… Ask for a sample of something else that way you can make a sound decision.

My kinda comfort food. My favorite is the Chili Cheese Étouffée w/Crawfish but I’ve never been disappointed in anything I’ve ever had. Get extra for takeout it doesn’t lose a thing reheated.

Whenever I’ve had a bad day, I always take a trip to Yats. I know I’ll leave in a far better mood than when I came in. The Chili Cheese Étouffée and the Drunken Chicken are my two favorites. The bread that comes with each entrée is life-changing. If you haven’t experienced Yats yet, please do so immediately. You won’t regret it.

Yatz is fantastic and fast! When your looking for something different and you want to get in and out quickly this is the place! Be sure to order«extra» bread because it is awesome and you’ll be wanting more!!! The one thing that I really like about this place is you can count on the consistency which is something I value in a restaurant! You can’t go wrong here!!!

Sad to report, this trip wasn’t as lip smacking good as I remembered Yats to be. Now, it may have just been the new-to-me entrée, Chicken Chipotle Alexio, I ordered after a long hiatus. I was feeling famished so I didn’t take up the friendly guy behind the counter’s offer for a taste sample. I’m not a very picky eater, but it just wasn’t what I was expecting and wasn’t for me. It leaned heavy on the cream, so much so that the chipotle flavor and other spices were lost IMO. Also, there was a single squarish piece of bone. Not the end of the world, but glad I didn’t bite into it or choke on it… Well, as you may have guessed, I won’t be back for this dish but I’d return to give the others a try. Pros: Laid back, casual grab a bite or take out kinda place Super fast service!(my dish came out literally as soon as I turned around from paying at the counter) Self-serve drinks and hot sauce bottles

We love Yats. They are price very well and the food is good. The staff is friendly. Two people can eat for under $ 20. We love the Chilli Cheese Crawfish Etouffe, spinach and mushroom, and red beans all served over rice. If you aren’t sure, ask for a sample. Yum! This one lacks the atmosphere of the College Ave or the old Massachusetts location.
