The staff and owners are friendly. The prices are a little high for what you get. The food here is not bad, but it is very inconsistent. I use to call in phone orders here 3 – 5 times a week. The items ordered were usually similar, if not the same. One day it would taste great. The next day, it would have no taste whatsoever. The food gradually decreased in quality. It seemed like the orders were slapped together in a rush the last couple of times. I haven’t been here for a few months. I guess it’s worth a shot. You might get lucky and have your food prepared by a good cook. Avoid this place when you see a commercial bus parked on the side street. It will be packed!!!

The service was badass! We were driving pass Indio but wanted to see the NBA final 3rd and 4th quarter. I called 40 mins before arriving and the lady had the game on for us! The food was also very good! I would stop here again!

Authentic and delicious food all round. I first realized it had to be Authentic when I saw passenger buses from Mexico stop here all the time. I have stayed nearby many times and had their food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Have tried almost everything on the menu. It’s all splendid, with the soups/stews my favorite. The huevos con chorizo is my favorite for breakfast. And the rice that comes with all the dishes is just perfectly rustic. The service is also great. The lady who runs the place is especially sweet and helpful. And I love the simple but quirky décor with signed currency bills stapled everywhere.

Food was amazing and very fast. We waited less than 5 minutes for two entrees. Staff was really nice and helpful for our first time there. Would love to go back.

Only think I didn’t like was the amount of salt in my soup. My bus service stopped here. Looks like authentic restaurant. I ordered goat soup, portion was huge. This is great to go and sit not in a rush.

The food here is pretty authentic and really delicious! It’s on my way to the track out in Desert Center and I will be stopping here every time I go to and from the track! We got take out and the woman who took our order gave us some chips and salsa to eat while we waited for our food. My friend got a chicken burrito(he really wanted chorizo but they ran out) and he thought it was tasty. I got a carne asada quesadilla which came with chips. The carne asada was really tasty! It wasn’t the typical stuff that you get, but rather it had onions and spices to give it some great flavor! My friend even said that the carne asada was good and he stole the rest of my food when he got hungry later.

We were driving from AZ to CA and wanted some quick Authentic Mexican food, and we found it. Place is not fancy but the food was excellent, the price was great, and they gave us huge portions. We had two, 2 tacos, rice and beans plates, chips and salsa, it also had guacamole piled on the plate for $ 13 total. We were in and out quick. You order at the counter and then they deliver the food to your table. Décor was not fancy or anything great, looks like it is an old Dennys and bathroom was dirty, but still gave 5 stars because the food was so good and authentic.

Get the tacos. Its called Taco Jalisco for a reason. Jalisco has been serving Indio for over 30 years. it has a warm yet vibrant atmosphere and the staff is very supportive. Did i mention the tacos? Try the cabeza, al pastor, lengua or pescado. You will love at least one! Why not 5 stars? A little more staff would be beneficial to keep up with the pizazz of these tasty tacos.

Wow since 1979 this place has been there and still looks like 1979. I did not like the food, no flavor, greasy and made in a hurry for a expensive price. What else can i say sorry… I rather cross the street for a Subway for cheaper price.

This place consistently makes great food! The fish tacos are AMAZING! I’m a flight attendant and I travel all over, but when I crave Mexican food this place is my «go to»…the ambiance is dated, but I’m there for the food! Btw… the owners are the nicest people you’ll ever meet!

I tried this place once while it in the area for business. I ordered a Carne asada burrito and needless to say I was not impressed. The burrito came out and looked fantastic but was half lettuce. The meat was ok that is the only reason I’m giving them 2 stars.

The quesadillas were not tasty at all, and the tacos only had one tortilla which actually disappointed me for a second.

This taco shop gets 5 stars for its delicious food. I’ve been here twice and both times it did not disappoint. Both times I ordered tortas — one carne asada and one al pastor. The bread was perfectly toasted, with the right amount of fixings and cheese. The tortas are pretty big for an average female, so I’d recommend splitting one with a friend(a man could definitely handle his own). I can’t wait for my grandma to have another craving for a torta so we can come back.

Super expensive for ceviche, 4 tacos and 2 aguas frescas. it was almost $ 30! Wasn’t the best tasting or the worst. Agua de tamarindo was really good. You order your food at the counter and it’s brought to your table. I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone as the food was just mediocre; nothing to brag about.

When I saw the sign Jalisco I knew this was a spot I’d be hittin’ up for some good food like some awesome tacos, tortas ahogadas, birria de chivo… And then you’re representing Jalisco and don’t have Tortas Ahogadas or Chivo!?! So the Wife and I ordered some food and shared, well at least they do have Birria de Res/Beef. Birria de Res — The meat/Beef was lean and tender but the jugo/consommé was lacking in flavor, just OK. 3-Stars Tacos de Al Pastro y Carne Asada —
are you kidding me?! you got more Veg on these tacos than meat, ans What’s up with all the cilantro stems, LETTUCE are you serious? At this point I should have cut my losses and sent it back… Al Pastor — Poorly marinated, lacking flavor waste of a good Pig. 2-Stars Carne Asada — Lack of searing, no seasoning, no flavor… and STOP with the lettuce and tomato. 1-Star Torta de Carnitas — The carnitas itself was a little on the dry side, but with the other ingredients. beans, mayo, lettuce, tomato it was an OK sandwich/torta. 3-Stars This Jalisco was a disappointment…
