Pupusas are good
But they take a very long time.
Very filling. During my lunch can usually be ok with one only. Anything more will make me sleepy.
Presentation isn’t impressive but taste make s up for it.

The best place to eat. Good soups and pupusas. The best service. Really nice. Great attention and it’s very nice and clean. Great fruit beverages. Everything naturally made. The beans and salads are fresh and everything else is freshly made.

I was reluctant to eat because of the sorry reviews and area however I took the risk and to my surprise this place was outstanding! The food was hot and the flavor was just RIGHT! The beans with cream, cheese and avocado with fresh! Not to mention the plantains aka platanos oh and did I mention the fresh thick tortillas !!! Very good prices with good portions… I will good back for sure! True the place does need some décor and maybe some customer service training but they had a humble and good attitude… Good coffee!!! I WOULD RECOMMEND BIG TIME…

My mom brought me here and I was pleasantly surprised with the food great pupusas and empanadas. Only down fall they ran out of Horchata but I would come again!

I’ve eaten here before and the food is really good the pupusas are delish. the service could be better and the atmosphere at the restaurant it seems like its always empty. but if you order your food before you pick it up then its good.

I think their pupusas are the best, I try some other places & the pupusas are good but their service is horrible like «El Cerro Verde“THANK GOD IS GONE, THIS family own restaurant might not be in the best location but sure they have the best PUPUSAS IN TOWN!

I’ve tried this place a couple of times. For lunch I tried a cheeseburger, which was a frozen patty with so-​so fries; for breakfast I tried a classic Salvadorean huevos rancheros. Even though this is purportedly a Salvadorian restaurant, even that mean was pretty ho-​hum. The one thing that really kills this place is the wait; there is usually one person waiting tables and one in the kitchen. If you come in when there is more than four or five people total eating, you will have a nice, long wait. For a late breakfast at around 11 AM I counted 12 people, and it took 35 minutes between walking in and receiving my meal. I also have to knock them for the way they destroyed the interior of a classic ‘50s Googie café, but that didn’t affect my review.

The service may not be the greatest, but, their pupusas are always on point! The curtido varies. They might not always have what you want, but overall the food is great and flavorful! I’m a regular at this place!

Dennis: Truly pathetic and rude service, I am a salvadorean, that’s why I been holding this review BC I felt that they can do better, but they don’t, I have been a costumer for at least a year and so sad that they don’t change for better, alright, this is the part where I describe what’s wrong and good about the places. First went you go through the door, its like you have to look for service, going in and you noticed that is an old place where needs a lot of cleaning sometimes or permanently the tables are sticky, I’m pretty sure they know that, the waiter I don’t really know why she can’t handle the service, its not busy at all. And yet she should help you out with the menu, my gf she is not Salvadorian so she doesn’t know the food completely, sadly today I felt that I need it to write this review cuz I felt that the hit really bottom to my standard, and yet I am just a regular costumer, so cleaning, service are really bad at this place. The good thing and thank god for this, cuz is on my neighborhood the quality of the food is 3 star I will say compare to the 1 or 0 star with the service, I hope they can change my mind. Disculpe señora pero es LA verdad, neceaita preocuparse mas por sus clientes. Bombo

I was waiting for my girlfriend to get out of an appointment in Kaiser and I was starving! I was going to the gas station to get something to munch on and I see this resturant right besides. I decide to give it a try because you can never go wrong with fries. To begin with, it is dark in there. It gives you the impression that they brought their kitchen from home because their pans and coffee maker and certain equipment is not ment for a resturant. I ordered a chicken bacon sandwich and a «ensalada» with a side of fries and I can tell you now, I did not even finish any of them. They where defiantly not satisfying. The service is just pathetic, the waitress was making personal phone calls while assisting people and then, this lady came in she was trying to make conversation with the waitress by telling her that every time she passes by and wants to try the resturant and the waitress didn’t pay much attention to it. Definatly will not come again. Oh! One last thing, the chicken that was placed in the sandwich had bone.

Their was hair in my food. Very slow service

i took my mom sister niece and girlfriend to this place at 12pm on a Sunday.
i prefer this place since it s never packed, and this time was no different.
only two tables were occupied. a couple that had already been served and a small family of 5 or 6 that was halfway done with their lunch. the waiter took our order then 20 minutes passed before he came back around to let us know they didn’t have an item on our order (Mojarra). 12:28 i look at the time and all we had were drinks at the table.
The waiter comes around with half the food and walks away with out a word. my thoughts OK the rest of the food is coming soon, nope. i had to get up and asked for utensils. by the time we received all our food the ice in our drinks had melted. half way through our meal my girlfriend asks for an Ensalada (fruit drink) it never shows up.
We’re now ready to leave so we have to track down the waiter to get our bill. we tell the waiter we didn’t receive the Ensalada so he doesn’t forget not to include it; he still charges it.

Pupusas!
I’ve usually had to go far for some good pupusas but not anymore!
Their pupusas can be inconsistent at times. Some times they are better than other times but never have they been bad. The curtido (cabbage mix) is also great.
Place is spacious but never has it been packed when I have been there. Good thing because I don’t think there is much parking.
Most pupusas are 1.99. I think there is one that is slightly more… the pork one maybe?
I’m glad this pupusa place is very close to me but it’s also bad because now I eat them more often hahaha. I think I came here 3 times and a little over a weeks time after I first discovered them.
