Thought they had some amazing salsa, but the actual tacos weren’t great. The asada, carnitas, and chorizo were kind of dry and lacked flavor. The tortillas were made fresh, but I still didn’t think it made much of a difference. Got hard very quickly. I also felt the wait was very long for a few tacos. About 20 minutes or so. I want to come back one more time and try the mulitas, but with the meat being bland I don’t expect any wonders. Pros: + Great salsa + Home made tortillas + $ 1 tacos Cons: — Meats weren’t savory or juicy — Long wait

Greatest taco stand ever. Hand made tortillas and a big variety of tacos meats. Never tried the burritos but I’m sure they are great as well. The cucumbers dipped in salsa are great but they are not for the faint of heart as they are spicy. If you ever make your way into Lennox I highly recommend these dollar tacos.

Fast service, the food is good, the tortillas are handmade, the meat isn’t fatty, the chicken and the asada is delicious. Better than taco dollar, which I would recommend steer away from, their food is terrible.

My favorite taco truck in LNX. Taco Dollar is probably its competition but me and El Vaquero have too many memories. AND there’s a lady who sells tamales and CHAMPURADO out of a van right next to it. My boyfriend loves the Al pastor from here but for me it’s a bit too oily. I always get the asada tacos/burrito/mulita. If you have no idea what a mulita is you need to try one now. They also make their tortillas fresh here. So good. All the salsas are outside so you can get as much as you want… which is a super plus in my book because I usually need at least 3 containers of salsa with my meal. Cucumbers are super spicy and amazing. Sometimes they have picked habanero and onion to top your tacos with. LOVE.

#1 Hood Tacos EVER! MmmMmmmm Where do I begin!!! 1. Expect to wait, but you will have enough people watching to do! 2. Strawberry Agua… A M A Z I N G… wish I had that thing attached to an IV! 3. Al Pastor — OMG leaves me speechless every time! 4. All other meats are very tasty and not fatty or old. 5. HOMEMADE, HOMEMADEFRESH, tortillas for each little taco y mulita you scarf up!!! Mmmmm just hand me some of those tortillas and I will bring my butter! 6. Salsas are on FIRE… so HOT and so worth the burning sensation on your fingers and lips after you finish! 7. There is also a tamale lady next to the truck… I have noticed people snack on those as they wait. I live in El Monte, and travel here without a problem… SO worth the drive! Enjoy! I REALLY hope you make it out to this spot!

Savory al pastor meat + handmade tortilla + wicked hot sauce(the red stuff) = best taco in LA. El Taurino et al doesn’t even come close…

The tacos are great specially for a drinking night. The tortillas are handmade and the meat is not fatty at all. The tripa is my favorite.

The best tacos in Lennox! Every time my family visits from the east coast I bring them here and they love it. Great taste and only $ 1.

If you gave this one star you don’t know anything about street tacos! These tacos were the BOMB! Best street tacos I’ve had since I moved back out here to LA!!! We went here around 9pm on a Monday. They stand in front of the Top Valu on Hawthorne, north of the 105 freeway. We were helped right away with our order. Food took about less than 10 mins for our group order. We ordered tacos de al pastor and asada and let me tell you both were amazing!!! They have so much flavor. Agua de fresa is amazing too. They have a self serve salsa, they have their salsas laid out for your pick along with the taco toppings like cilantro and cebolla. They also have these bomb little cucumbers in this salsa that are amazing a must try. I will def be stopping here for some $ 1 tacos when ever I can.

Pretty decent Taco Truck, parked in front of Top Valu on Hawthorne Blvd, there is plenty of parking in the lot. Fresh hand made tortillas right in front of you, I had the carne asada and I thought they were quite flavorful. Also the Pineapple Agua Fresca is a must try! Open late on weekends!

I’ve had tacos in Mexico and these are as close as it gets. The tortillas are hecho a mano and the meat is delicious! I’ve been here countless numbers of times and have never been disappointed. I also bring a lot of out-of towners here and they love it! Cheap and delicious food, it doesn’t get any better than this. They get busy so don’t expect fast customer service, but the wait is worth it!

I dont understand how a person can give a one star review to this little taco shop. If you expect somebody to fawn all over you for a stinkin one dollar taco. well you got to be out of your mind. Especially when they’re this good. There are like three workers stuffed in that little food truck. With that grill going, you know its gotta be hot! They are not unfriendly, they are busy. They are always working so fast to grill the meat and to make and grill thoseyummy tortillas. Yes, they make their own torillas here! Theres a neon on the side of the truck. Its in spanish. but it says«hand made tortillas». Their carne asada is good quality, not like some places where its all gristle. They got a mean quesadilla there too. The only one that i’ve had that was better was in San Diego. Thats the extent of what i’ve tried there. they do have more stuff. What I really really really love, is that little bar in front. They have sliced radish, sliced cucumbers in a green sauce(its hot, but not horrid hot), green sauce, red sauce, another red sauce, pickled jalapenos, onion/cilantro mix, lime. They give you little bags and cups to help yourself. It would be nice if they sold soda(all they have are those mexican fruit drinks) No biggie though, I usually swing by 7 – 11 for a big gulp before hitting this place. Of the five taco trunks in this area(in my opinion), this is the best. Good stuff here. They’re always parked in front of the grocery store. There is a little van the parks behind them that have almost the best puerco tamales(Ive only know of two that are better)

I have to agree these are the best tacos this side of L.A. Superior compared to Acosta Tacos. If you love cheesy, greasy, goodness, ask for the mulita de carne asada. If you never had a mulita, it is cheese with whatever meat you want, sandwiched between two corn tortillas, grilled and melted to perfection.

It appears I’m on the hunt for the best taco stand ever! I went to this little taco truck the other night for the first time and I am definitely a fan. First of all I didn’t even have to say, «no onion»(though I did anyway before realizing it) because everything from the cilantro and onions to their special cucumbers in chile are outside for you to get at your own convenience. The tacos were sooo good and still warm by the time we made it back Redondo Beach to eat them(And my friend got lost so it took even longer) I only tried the carne asada tacos, but they were delicious! I really knew I had to write a review though after tasting the authentic(no powder, people!) horchata! It was so good! The truck is parked on Hawthorne Blvd. in front of a grocery store just south of Lennox Blvd. I believe it gets there at 4pm and I went around 9:30pm, but I’ll have to get specifics and update soon. GOTRYTHESETACOSANDTHEHORCHATA!
