with the coupon i printed online, it cost about $ 40 for my nissan versa. i called other smog places in the area beforehand and they were charging about $ 50 – 60 without any discount, so this was the best deal i found near my work.
they were super friendly, explained the whole process thoroughly, and answered any questions i had. although they don’t schedule appointments, i called ahead of time and asked if there was a wait. the man on the phone said if i came right now (10:45 a.m. on a wednesday), it would take about 30 – 40 minutes. i left work asap and got to the shop around 11 a.m. it probably only took around 20 minutes max for the whole process! they gave me my receipt and certificate and i was out the door and back at work before 11:30.

My second time here and they’re amazing. Highly recommended!

I drove around for 30 minutes looking for someone to do my smog check. Finally ended up with Henry on la brea! Only 1 car ahead of me I told him that someone had told me about him. He took 10 dollars off and it was about 40 mins wait. Very friendly guy. I will back be when I need a smog check.

there was a decent line here but the guy was very efficient and I was out of there in about 30 minutes despite having 2 cars ahead of me. He honored the coupon that I brought and the price was very fair. Great service, professional all around.

I needed a STAR certified smog check done on a Saturday, which was kind of tough. The first place I called around 1pm was closing right away. So I called this place a while later. They were open later than the other place.
I didn’t have to wait too long even though they only have 1 machine operating on Saturdays. I wanted to get it out of the way over the weekend though. The guy was really friendly, fair price. I showed him a coupon from google on my phone and got it done for $ 45! Will go again!

I showed up a few minutes after they opened… In and out in under 20 minutes… They even honored my coupon despite a prior review I read (JUST PRINT IT AND TRY YOUR LUCK LIKE I DID;-)… The technician was also very knowledgable and explained everything tested during the inspection.

The worker refused to perform the smog test on my car because of the VIN on my car. He told me that he’s never seen any 2008 car that has the VIN engraved into the car. He said that there should have been some kind of sticker or tag. So he sent me away. No accident or anything on my car. Straight out the dealer new. So I came to the location on Manchester and Florence/​Aviation instead «UNISMOG» Same price too.

I love this place, have been coming here every other year since 2010. They are very nice and friendly. I recommend coming as early as you can, as it can get busy I’m told. I’m here at 8:30 on a Thursday and I’m the only one here. The inglewood DMV is just down the street, which is very convenient.

The guy who does the smog check was so cheerful and made me laugh. When I failed he wrote details so that the repair guy knew exactly what to do and look for.

Less than 2 miles from my humble abode is this Smog center. The Mrs requested I get the smog done on her car and not really wanting to do it thought I would find the nearest smog center and this was the one. The receptionist was extremely attentive and let me know it would take around 35 minutes to complete and to relax in the waiting area. While I was waiting the receptionist whose name I think was Bess ran out and to a customer who was at the traffic light and had forgotten his change. Overall a good taste was left in my palate hence the 5 star and I will go there again when I need a smog.

Smogging is not always as simple as it may seem. Henry has gone out of his way to help me solve my problems! Highly recommended!

Decent prices with coupon online. The tech seemed nice and the woman running the shop was rude and seems bored and unhappy with her job. At any rate, it is just a smog check place. See you in a couple years.

I was there on 7÷30÷2013 after Unilocaling to find out who was the best. I narrowed it down to three and then I noticed this company had a great rating so I decided to go to them. I didn’t have an appointment. I just showed up.
I bet they are SWAMPED on the weekends in anycase I went on a weekday and they were very consistent and a couple of cars were ahead of me. However, no worries. I was in and out much faster than some of the other places and it was nice outside you can sit outside or inside. Bring something to read, music to listen to or, Ipad, android, whatever to occupy your mind for the short period of time.
It was very clean building. The nice young lady came and signed me in, took my mileage, and my coupon. Be sure to go to their site and print off the coupon and give to them when you first get there. They will get the mileage off your odomter as well as your print out from dmv registration paper work. They like it when you present the coupon at the beginning when they talk to you. Don’t wait until the end to give the coupon. She told me that sometimes people like to wait until the end and then other people may or may not know about the coupon then people want to leave go home print coupon and come back. That’s crazy but it happens and it cost them business. So just give them the coupon at the beginning.
The gentleman who did my car was very knowledgeable, professional, and seemed to understand customer service quite well. There were like 4 cars ahead of me so I was there for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It wasn’t so bad you can always go across the street to eat something or just sit, read, enjoy the sunshine.
They were consistently busy but the wait was not that long at all. They were VERY VERY nice and had a southern hospitality type of energy that I really liked because I’m a TEXAN. I had a great experience.
I got my print out and they send the copy over to the DMV Automatically electronically and then all you have to do is go and get your sticker. I actually purchased my sticker a few moments after at this other facility who charges 20 extra but I’ve been buying my stickers there each year. But you can also buy at the DMV which is very close to this location here at 502 N. Labrea it’s like across the stree.
So if you car does not pass they will give you a FREE retest so think about it a lot of places would charge you but here they give you a free retest and then if you have a LOT of repairs to make I read the sign they have it where you can contact the DMV and they DMV will give you an extension on getting the repairs done.
I hadn’t seen that before but while I was sitting there I was just reading stuff.

I had a coupon but I forgot what the coupon said now I just printed it off so be sure to print off. $ 34.94 for inspection plus $ 1.80 for transmission fee to send online I guess, and $ 8.25 for the actual certificate and the total was $ 45.00
AWESOME Experience. I think that if you decided to go here it would be a great idea because I like the fact that they actually gave people a chance to come back for FREE retesting. Also they had the sign posted on the window how to contact the DMV in case your car did not pass at least you could go and get your sticker and the dmv would allow you more time. A lot of people aren’t aware of that fact. I saw a couple of people in there frantaic but then I was thinking they should have simply called the number, and get car registered get some minor repairs done and move forward. I also saw some tips online to keep the car in good running order, changing the oil, tune ups, and there was a list of things I found on internet.
However, GREAT experience. I will go there again in 2 years.

I really have a problem with this new «STAR ONLY» smog testing. How can the CA DMV regulate where I get a smog check without controlling the pricing these centers charge. Someone at AAA told me there’s no major difference between STAR ONLIY and Test Only, just the amount you have to pay (which is more for STAR). And since I drive a 95′ Ford Mustang, I wasn’t too excited about getting my vehicle tested at a Star station.
This test center in Inglewood was FANTASTIC. Besides the LONNG line on a Saturday (this is the only Star station in the wood) the customer service was amazing. I wasn’t too upset because I was waiting with my brother and father, we each needed to get our cars checked, so we goofed around while we waited. I felt bad the gentleman was the only one working on 7 – 8 cars. He did a great job at checking two cars at once and processing the paperwork after.
I found a coupon online which took the total from $ 70 to $ 55 and it came with a free retest, which I ended up needing. I trust this place to get a fair deal out an increasingly problematic system. I really can’t stand CA standards but these men handle this situation with professionalism.
*Note theirs a women restroom indoors but its not that clean, bring your own toilet tissue or leave with a wet puss.
