Had written a bad review before. Now I’m removing it. In hindsight I should have explained better what hair style I wanted.

My family has been coming here for years. Caring on the family tradition by bringing my boys. We are used to little joe but today we experienced the other barbers and they’re just as awesome. My kids have the best fade in town. We will be coming back soon.

Kev should focus more on cutting hair instead of watching the damn tv maybe he would get through more customers

Serendipity brought me here. Long story short — I was in Culver City and on a whim I wanted a haircut before my flight out of LAX. Unilocal was failing me big time. I basically gave up and headed to the airport and found this place!
It was exactly what I was looking for — a true barber shop run by men my age (30’s). I think it’s been around since the early 70’s so it’s got a great worn-​in/​neighbourhood feel to it.
Your buddy here got what he needed for less than $ 20 and got tha old school mechanical hand-​massage that I’ve only experienced one other time at a similar barber shop in Chicago.

I came right out of my airplane and needed a haircut. This place was within a 10 minute drive (in traffic) from LAX and I am completely amazed with this place. First, there is parking right in front of the barber shop so you are not spending all of your time looking for a spot. Second, I just flew in from China and needed caffeine. They actually sell energy drinks and sodas. Third, the hair cut staff are the really the bomb. I received a high fade like no other and left feeling like I was in my childhood again. This place deserves ten stars. I will be coming here every time I need a haircut in LA!

Got a great hair cut. Waiting was short. The guys have great skills. Price is awesome. I really recommend this place. I will be back here during my next stay in L.A.

Although I only have one complaint I cant lie this is IMO the number 1 barbershop in Inglewood. Joe’s has been my go to shop since middle school times there are barbers that come and go but David and Kevin are a for sure. The only complaint would be they close early but from what I see they are about family so its understandable. STILL A FIVE STAR PLACE.

These guys do a great job! Good quality work, take tier time, nice guys! I would have given them 5 stars, but they close a little early to make it after work. None the less I walk in 10 minutes before close and they can’t take me, but direct me down just half a mile to Joels, and this guy did an awesome job! 4 star to Joes who are nice guys that do great work but are always busy, 5 stars to Joels who does an awesome job, is fast, stays open later, and is just a little cheaper!

I refuse to go to another shop, no matter where I am and how bad I need a haircut. With that said, this place has an amazing atmosphere (from the barbers, the talks, the jokes, the sports on tv).

No parking but street parking is plentiful.
Only 4 chairs so likely you have to wait. Going in early is usually a good idea.
Cuts are about $ 15 – 20 depending on what you get. But it seems slightly arbitrary. Mine usually cost 15 but this last time it cost 16 and I got less done than usual… figure that out.
Been here about 6 or 7 times and I think twice I’ve left happy. I usually get a simple haircut. Tapered sides and a low top. Any barber should be able to handle that. Usually though, the sides are not tapered well and 4 times they’ve messed up the lining giving me a crooked line in the front which is really no bueno.
I don’t think I’ll be going back, unfortunately bc they’re really nice guys, talk sports etc… they just can’t cut. They’re all intermediate barbers at best.
Also I’ve been cut by 2 new guys in the times I’ve been there leading me to believe that they have a decently high turnover rate which isn’t good if you want consistency with a particular barber.
When I go back to NY and go to a regular barber I get a MUCH better quality cut for the same price or less.

I’ve tried this place out on several occasions but then I’m always disappointed after I’m done showering. That’s when I can tell how uneven they leave my hair. I’ve also taken my kids there and they are so picky with their old seating spots. If your kid barely crosses his leg and his foot touches the seat the main guy there will quickly tell them to put it down. It’s really annoying since its not like they’re jumping up and down on those things. Last hair cut one of my boys had wasn’t even really what I asked for but I’m not one to make a big deal out of it. I’d rather pay and not come back. The staff is cool but honestly this place is overrated.

I have been coming here for years everyone is very nice but Jennifer is the best, the place is really clean and has easy parking, definitely I recomend Joes barber shop to everyone

After being on the road for over a month, I needed to get a hair cut and trim my beard. I looked at Unilocal for a barber shop in the area, and Joe’s showed up.
The place is really, really small. Only 4 chairs, and no parking lot (street parking is plentiful though). There was a bit of a line up too, but the barbers worked pretty quickly through their customers. There was about 5 people ahead for 3 barbers, and it took about 40 minutes to get to me, which is pretty quick.
Once it was my time, my barber got to work. Went for a haircut and a shave, and got exactly that. I don’t do anything fancy, so it is pretty hard not to do me right. He also shaped my beard, which I didn’t quite like how he did the bottom. However, I am sure everyone has their own taste, and it was easy enough to fix with a razor once I got to the hotel.
Price was cheap, and the people were friendly enough. Nothing particularly special about this place to me though. Then again, I am not a big into styling, so I might not be the best person to review this place.

I used to come here before I moved away in 2008, I started coming here again late last year because of the quality I was used to in the past. However, the last couple of times I came in the quality has fallen off. The guy next to Joe seems more concerned with checking his text messages and other stuff on his phone to the point where he even seems to disrupt Joe while he is working.
The last time I came in I wasn’t even shown my hair in the handheld mirror after my cut to make sure it was good. The hair cut was a ⁷⁄₁₀ instead of Joe’s usual 9 – 9.5÷10. I still consider this my barbershop and will continue to get my cut here but I hope these guys refocus and get back to where they used to be.
