There food is okay… mediocre…that is why they have a average three star rating. However, they have advertised two double burger patties for the price of $ 4.75. That was all that I purchased and I was charged $ 5.70. Tax on $ 4.75 is calculated at 9%, which equals $ 0.43, which gives us a total of $ 5.18; which means I was overcharged by $ 0.52. I paid by credit card and there was NOTHING shown on the window for a surcharge for using a credit card! You guys get one star for dishonestly charging me!

I enjoy this place because of you truly get bang for your buck. I stick with the double bacon cheeseburger & fries. The fries is enough to fill up two people. I’ve read reviews saying the burger is ok & a little«better than McDonald’s». Which I say is false. What people don’t know is, they have arguably the best ice cream. It’s soft serve, you can get a small milkshake, at good price but it’s really a medium size. I’ve yet to have a better soft serve ice cream.

Just OK fast food. Hamburgers are a step above Mac Donald’ s. Ordered their double double, which is the equivalent of the Big Mac. So if you like Big Macs, then you’ll enjoy Loui’s. The pastrami sandwich was good, with thick slices of meat, but on the dry side. The chili cheese fries were also just good. The chili is flavor lacking, so I added a lot of yellow chilis and onions at home. Lastly, the bacon cheeseburger was just OK. Not much flavor, but freshly made which is a step up from other fast food places. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you receive. I probably won’t return because the food was just average.

Another run of the mill burger joint. I’ve got the bacon cheese burger when I came. Nothing to flip over, it was a burger that you could find at a million other burger places around la. If you’re in the area stop by but don’t drive out your way.

The double double is absolutely delicious. If you like a Big Mac, this is the closet thing you’ll find that replicates that deliciousness. Larger and at a cheaper price.

Bad experience. I ordered the turkey burger fries and a drink. The turkey was what seemed to be beef mixed with turkey. It tasted like beef. I do not eat pork or beef and was very disappointed with this burger. That however was not the worst part: when I took it back the owner/cook was very rude and argumentative. He refuse to check the burger to see if a mistake was made! He became angry and order the cashier to give my money back! Never Again!

This is a neighborly place that makes my fries the way I want them– Belgian style w/mayo! They don’t salt them for me, and they fry them the way I LOVE. xoxoxo… to Louis Jr. Burgers are good too!

We picked up some donuts from Randy’s, then decided to get some ice cream here, wrong choice. I ordered a vanilla shake and my friend got a cup of ice cream. I watched the employee put ice cream in a cup and then for my shake, she filled the entire cup with ice cream, and I guess they call that a shake? I got my so called shake and can’t even drink it, had to ask for a spoon. Their ice cream tasted like powder ice cream mix you buy from smart and final. I ended up throwing my «shake» away. Bad ice cream and bad customer service. Will never come here again.

Should have taken the first order in front of us as a sign not to go, they got their orders wrong and had to swap two customers. We noticed there are quesadillas on the menu, apparently they are unable to make plain cheese ones, which makes no sense… One of my group ordered a chili cheese burger, the receipt said chili fries, we quickly corrected the mistake, then 15 minutes later they brought out a regular burger… The woman who took our order argued that we ordered a regular burger and returned to making some one else’s order. Seemingly ignoring us, we just left the burger there and went to a fast food place down the street. I’d never recommend this place but if you go, be very clear when ordering.

We’ve been to Randy’s next door a million times and never stopped here. Pros: Right next to Randy’s(which had a huge line) so I was able to jump out of my car and leave my hubby in the drive-thru while I scouted out chili cheese fries. The fries were good. Seasoned and covered with moist ground beef.(Not really chili but I’ll let it slide.) That and the portion was huge. Cons: Rather divey. I could see the«B» in the window and ALSO the BEE squished under the menu glass. The guy leaning on the counter doing whatever on his phone non-chalantly pointed me at the other BUSY employee who was already assisting someone in their drive-thru. If I were a lesser person that would make me leave. The fries were expensive… like $ 6.50. When I replied with«What?!» the girl had a look like«Yeah, I know.» The wait was pretty long considering the fries were pre-cut, possibly frozen. All things considered, it was good, but I probably won’t be going back.

So I was dispatched to bring back asphalt from a plant around the corner from this spot, Boss man told me to get lunch while I was out making the run. So I drive in to this small typical CALI burger joint, and the first thing I spot(like they intentionally put it in a spot for the whole world to see) is the food and health grade which was B. Which to me is weird, for as long as I have eaten out and been to a lot of restaurants I’ve never seen a B rating. I should of thought twice before ordering but I gave this spot the benefit of the doubt, and I ordered a asada burrito and I seen the cook bring out a frozen pack of meat just slapped it on the grill ok. All in all it took about 5 minutes to cook up my burrito which was Ok, hot sauce tasted like they mix Tapatio and Ketchup LOL. And I ordered a medium drink as well which I found small black particles in my drink. Disgusting … And I had drank most of my soda oh well LOL… So I’m most definitely not coming back here again and CHECKYOURDRINKSBEFOREYOUGETTHESAMETHINGASWHAT I GOT!!!

Ok just had a burger and it was slamming… Only thing I would have added is to bring my own seasoning salt.

I’ve driven by this place for years and finally stopped by. Boy, am I sorry! We ordered the Colossal Burger, Fish sandwich and large fries. The ONLY edible item were the fries; not too bad. However, the fish sandwich was, in a word, disgusting. The gray and greasy fish was deep fried in batter that looked weeks old. Extremely gross. The burger was just as bad. The patty was small, hard and tasteless. There was too much lettuce and the«pastrami» was utterly the worst meat I’ve ever eaten. Please do not eat here. You are much better off going to any national burger joint !!!

Gluten free people beware. I was excited when they offered a lettuce wrap for my burger as a gluten free option, however there must still be gluten in the burger because I had a gluten attack about an hour later.

Nooooo! What I considered one of the best burger spots near me disappointed me! Felt the meat was a bit undercooked and not seasoned right because it didn’t have the usual taste. It had been a few months since I was last here and I don’t recall seeing the guy behind the grill before but hope it was just a one time thing and they didn’t change things up.

Randy’s Donuts may get all the love, but its«junior» neighbor stands on its own by offering cheap classic American eats. Louis Jr. may not be as famous as Randy’s or other Louis(like Armstrong, Vuitton, Pasteur, and good olé XIV), but it simply isn’t a hype worthy burger joint. It is a decent burger joint when you want a quick ground beef sandwich and a side of potato fries. I’m torn between 3 or 4 stars … Can’t decide if you want a burger or pastrami sandwich? No problem. Louis Jr. has a Colossal Cheeseburger with a Beef pattie, American Cheese, Pastrami, Lettuce, Tomato slices, Pickles, and Thousand Island dressing on a plain Hamburger Bun. It’s as full of flavor and filling as it sounds. At $ 5, it’s a pretty good deal. An even better bargain is a huge bag of «seasoned» Fries for $ 2 served piping hot. It’d be perfect for sharing. I couldn’t finish them all by myself. Combined with the Colossal Burger, my entire meal was $ 7.72. At Louis Jr, the only dining options are outdoor patio, takeout, or drive-thru. It’s cheap, filling, and ok. Sometimes that’s all you really want. So, stop by Randy’s donuts for an appetizer(or dessert) and get Louis Jr. as a the main course for a classic American gut-bustin’ meal of a Cheeseburger, Fries, and Donuts. Come on… you know you want it … ok, I know I want it.

tltr; BEST pastrami burger in town. Get it, it’s that freaking good. So I was born and raised in LA, and even though I have moved, my heart and my stomach have never really left. While reminiscing about my old stomping grounds I decided to check out my favorite pastrami burger… Loui’s. To my dismay I found only 3 reviews and a mediocre rating thanks mainly to one reviewer’s 1 star review. What the hell people? Granted I don’t think the people that work here care what their Unilocal rating is, still, the current rating is not reflective of how good the food is nor how satisfied you will feel afterwards. This is a real burger folks, this place doesn’t attract little hipsters that go and review beauty salons and winerys. The food here is cheap, and the service sucks, but for a pastrami burger with big juciy patties and generous amounts of pastrami deal with it. These are greasy, stick to your ribs kind of food. YOu know you want it, at least some times. So if you’re gonna eat like crap, might as well get the good stuff and that stuff is here. Did I also mention the chili cheese fries are amazing? Yeah, come here and leave satisfied. This place is right next to Randy’s Donut’s. Also, a disclaimer, as I have moved I haven’t eaten here since 2008 but since there are so few reviews hopefully this is helpful.

By far, my favorite burger joint! Nothing fancy, just great burgers… It’s far from where I live(which is a good thing LOL) but, whenever, I’m in LA, I make it a point to head over there. Normally, I get the turkey burger w/cheese and my boyfriend gets the double cheeseburger. Both are super delicious!
