Mcduffy’s Kajukenbo Self Defense Institute

I have two kids enrolled at McDuffy’s Kajukenbo. My son started out here as a white belt and is now a Purple Belt, and my daughter transferred from another Kaju school as a purple and is testing soon for her brown belt. I love the school and the instructors. Sigun Cliff is stern, but very encouraging which the kids love because they feel accomplished and keep wanting to go back. Sifu T is great with teaching floor work, take downs, and is also very friendly. Sifu Alex is friendly, and she is very precise and detail oriented which I appreciate as well. This is a family owned and operated business and as such, they make you feel like family. Every child matters to them at their school, and they always are happy to see everyone. They give the kids good advice and lessons on life skills, getting good grades, and support the parents with behavior issues as well. They reward and encourage good grades, and have family potlucks and gatherings as well. My kids had low self confidence when coming here, and now their confidence has grown 100 fold, and my oldest gets upset if we have to miss practice. This is Kaju family, they love what they do and it shows. If you are looking for an excellent school, with fair rates, and nice people, this is the school for you. Your kids will learn confidence, build long lasting friendships, and learn practical self defense hands on. I highly recommend McDuffys.

The Mcduffy’s Kajukenbo location is made of substance evidenced by being able to take my boys here and feel at home. Sifu Alex and Sifu T are super professional coupled with having reasonable rates and diversity.
The parking can be a little dicey so get to class on time.

Really great vibe when I walked in. Loved that it was black owned but still different ethnicities. Love how Sifu Phillip is very strict but excellent with kids. My 3 year old takes the class and loves it

This is a great place if you want to keep your kids active and doing something constructive. I enrolled my daughter here and she enjoyed taking the Kajukenbo Self Defense Class with Mr. Sifu Cliff. The class was about $ 75 a month for 3 days a week for an hour in a half.

Sifu Alex & Sifu Cliff… AMAZING! I am so glad that I found this place! They have self defense classes or kids and adults! They are so nice and you feel like family when you go here! They make sure that everyone is happy! The picnics and pot lucks are fun! Everyone gets together and has a good time! My daughter does karate and I have done the morning workouts. I also do kickboxing which kicks my butt! But the music and all around atmosphere makes me keep coming back!
Just give it a shot! :)

If your looking for a place to assist in helping your child with confidence, discipline, and high self esteem, this is it. What a wonderful place. Sifu Cliff is very patient but stern. He wants to see them do well. I hope this business is around a long time.
