This morning for some reason I was very hungry and had a taste for a down home meal. I pulled into Dulans parking lot and noticed they didn’t open til 11am and it was only 10. I couldn’t wait that long to eat so I decided to drive down to Ms. B’s and give them a try since one of their employees always come to my job and give me a business card everytime. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an employee who was very nice and helpful when it came down to me ordering and I was also greeted by Ms. B. I ordered the salmon croquet breakfast with grits, eggs and homemade bisquits. The salmon croquets were flat, over cooked, dry and flavorless and without a sign of bell pepper or onion. The grits and eggs were ok. The bisquits were dry and flakey and had a weird taste. I can’t say that I will never go back because I do wanna try their dinner, but I won’t go back for breakfast. I’m mad I spent $ 13.13 on a breakfast that I didn’t enjoy.

Ordered dinner in the drive thru, meatloaf was cold and smothered in red sauce when I asked for gravy. The servings were very small, not enough for 2nd, which I expected for the price. Filet of Sole was good, fried hard, which Is the only reason for 2 stars rating, I would have given 1. Drive thru took very long, meatloaf was cold and drenched in an unflavorful red sauce… unacceptable! Unfortunately I won’t be going back.

This place was very clean. Nice service. Waited no longer than 5 min to be seated. Food was hot. Fresh. Great portion size for your money. Although, they cost a bit more than expected. It wasn’t loud. I was able to see that the Cowboys lost thanks to the two big screens they had playing. Not sure what the hiring situation is. But one more waiter would be nice. Our poor guy was running all over the place. But we left him a nice tip. My family was full and put this place on the «Will Return» list!

Most importantly I will say that the service here is very welcoming. The staff are lovely all the way thru yet I must comment on how embarrassed I am for sending my mother here to have a meal that she desired and was not completely satisfied with. She ordered the turkey chops which were fatty and fried (lots of flavor little meat) a order of greens that weren’t seasoned so well and black eyed peas that she ate without a complaint all carried out on a Saturday. For 20 $ a plate I would have hoped that everything is all smiles but no. We support our black owned businesses 100% and I truly hope they can get it together at this location. Until then we won’t be returning.

I have been to this location twice and I will never come back. I ordered the fish with greens and macaroni and cheese it was horrible. The mac and cheese tasted like carnation milk and powered cheese. The fish was fried so hard that it was not eatable. The cabbage was just plain no flavor at all. For all of the money I spent I was annoyed. The second time I went I ordered take out and one of my meals were forgotten.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Their turkey wings with gravy and rice I mean it is just Everything in the entire world. Very fresh, customer service is extremely good and lemonade taste freshly squeeze, Love that it is very clean inside and silverware is always extra clean (plus 100 points for that one)

First time being here, the place was clean the servers was very courteous and prompt. As for the food I ordered the pork chops mac n cheese greens and dressing. The pork chips was a little dry but still had flavor, the mac n cheese and dressing was very good but my greens was a little on the cold side. My husband had the file of sole, yams and green beans along with cornbread. His fish was again a little overcooked and the green beans appeared to be from the can but was tasty and the yams was very tender. Would I come here again, yes I would cause although everything was great but it was pretty good.

I Live in Hayward CA and every time i come to LA, i gotta have me… some saul food at this place. I been to a lot of saul food restaurants but this place is by far my Fav. Everyone is friendly and the best customer service ever. Les is always smiling and top customer service is what he is all about. Ox tail is my fav. God bless this place. See you next time.

I went here because I heard the food was good. I’ll never listen to that person again. We sat down at waited at least 15−20mins before someone came to our table, my friend order fruit punch & I ordered strawberry soda. Ok my friends drink was Orange & the waiter said it was orange but she ordered fruit punch & he still left it! Really!!? The food was ordered at 6:30pm & wasn’t on the table till about 7pm.
The cornbread dressing tasted like Mrs cubbinsons (yuck), the black eyed peas cornbread muffins & pork chops were ok, the yams had strings (over). There was no customer service at all… All the men looked like they didn’t want to be there… The cashier was very nice. My friends food had no seasoning at all.

This place has an excellent fried whole catfish lunch with 2 sides, 2 corn muffins, and a small sweet tea for $ 12.99 + tax. Everything was delicious and the waitress was as sweet as the peach cobbler! I could easily live here if only I could set up a tent in the parking lot!

Sorry I can’t give a great review. I’ve come before and the chitterlings (chittlins) were good but this time I had fried chicken, Mac and cheese and greens. I left most of my plate. The chicken was try and not seasoned at all. I could only taste pepper. Not my grandmas chicken. Greens lack flavor and on sweet side. The waitress was very nice. You can give the servers a tip on your card. That was disappointing. Who does that?
I may try something else, but chicken ain’t it.

it took 40 minutes for some white fried chicken and u will pay a buck more because u choose white meat!
so the girl brings my chicken and says to me they ran out of breast so we gave u a wing. I was like I waited 40 minutes for macaroni that was already made rice and bad gravy that was already made and some hard corn bread. what took so darn long.
this restaurant should not be called M and m because this one has a b on the window for bullshit sold here.
I will never come here that’s for sure and the sides r so small. smaller than kfc really.
keep your trash ms b it’s bad, why the wait 40 minutes

I thought this restaurant was very bad. I came to this restaurant to have a nice home cooked meal but all I got was bad service. The head waitress only served to her friends and came to us after her friends left. That was not the only reason why I didn’t like it. I also thought the food was under par. I ordered chicken fingers and fries with macaroni and cheese. The chicken was okay but the fries were very unfavorable and super soft. The macaroni and cheese had zero flavor and hardly any cheese so I thought this place was awful

I was shocked on how friendly and professional the staff was.
We got takeout on 4÷19÷2015 around 5pm. Which ever ladies worked the register and which ever chefs cooked and KILLED IT in the Kitchen all deserve a round of applause and they have won my business in the near future.
The ladies who took my order were so polite and attentive and did NOT give me one stitch of attitude as I placed my to-​go order.
Even as I drove laps around the restaurant and rounded the drive thru THREE times on my phone getting my families SLOW orders… they still were polite! Even as I kept adding to my order… still no attitude!
The food was very tasty, not salty and perfectly seasoned.
BLACK OWNED and OPERATED…
I’m very Proud and will return soon!

Came for breakfast twice. You can’t go wrong with breakfast here. The staff is always so very nice. Good energy here. Came for dinner twice also. Dinner items are decent flavor and size but for some reason whoever is making the mac n’ cheese just can’t seem to get it together. Overall, a good place to get food for your soul.

I feel ripped off I paid a little over 20 dollars total for BBC chicken and peach cobbler. The singular piece of chicken I was given looks like it came out a KFC bucket. WTF… this food feed no soul. Is soul food actually robs soul of there hard earned dollars. Shame and too be a Libyan establish shame on you robbing your own. It get more «Food for my soul» at Family Soul food and I believe that is a latin establishment.

The best Soul Food! M&M down by The Forum. Get the «Obama» iced tea, which is peach tea with lemonade. Corn bread muffins were bomb as well. Portions so large we ate it twice and I eat a helluva lot.
