Taco dollar used to be the shit back then. Idk what happened but their tacos are now bite size . I never seen small tortillas like that. The meat is ok but the tacos are just too small . So since I didn’t wanna eat baby tacos I ordered a burrito and I was so disappointed :/ The rice was hard af and the refried beans tasted old like if it was days old. It was gross.

Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed having Taco Dollar! For someone as frugal as me, paying only $ 3 for two tacos and a horchata, I was in cheap ass heaven! They are known for their dollar tacos, hence the name, but there are a variety of other things on the menu as well, such as burritos. There is also a churro lady right outside that sells her yummy churros for $ 1 as well! The tacos were good, but the dispensing system for the salsa and guacamole made the product VERYWATERY. Still tasted good though. Parking is not hard to find at all, we parked in the lot that the truck is parked in front of. You just drive past the gate. They have security there sometimes too. I will definitely be back to Taco Dollar if I’m ever in the area!

A bit in the hood, but that’s what makes it so good! Authentic flavors and environment with a bonus: the selling of knock-off DVD’s and CD’s in the parking lot, as well as a nice man selling awesome, fresh made churros and a lady selling fresh cut of fruit. Whenever I’m out late at night after a Dodger or Laker’s game, I swing by with my big friends and have a great meal at Taco Dollar!

These are good tacos! The meat is good(not a bunch of fat). The three times that I have been here I have taken my order to go. They neatly wrap each order(per person) in aluminum foil and they gave me the toppings(onions and Cilantro) separate in little baggies as well as cucumbers. And salsas in little plastic containers. I love their cucumber topping. They are not too spicy(hot). They have the right balance of lemon and spiciness. My granddaughter loves their Horchata. My favorite are the carne asada tacos. My son has tried the«tripa» and they are good too. This place has parking. Although I must warn you that it is very crowded — so you may not find a parking space right away. While waiting in the long-line to order tacos — I enjoyed an order of fresh churros(they are making them there as they are ordered). Its an experience to come here. It almost feels that you aren’t in the United States.

My friends and I have been coming to this taco truck for years! I found it one night driving home from work! Over the years a few other trucks have popped up on Inglewood but you’ll recognize this one right away by the big green neon $ sign, the usual large crowd and mostly by the fact that it has a entire parking lot devoted to it. Take note too, that in that parking lot on good days, you can find the churro lady frying up fresh churros and plaintains. I usually grab a carne asada taco or burrito– all meat no rice or beans. They have deliciously fresh salsas but my favorite are the marinated cucumbers. Also ask for grilled onion n peppers, they’re yummo when they have them. Oh yea, and they serve up some good ass jamaica which is something I love to grab with my street tacos!

Double tortilla! A dollar each taco, doesn’t get better than that. The only place I’ve been that sells authentic Mexican churros, Americanized are not good at when you know what the good stuff is. Papas and frutas con limon and chile and $ 5movies on the side… we’re all thinking it. Overall, I love it!

For a buck; it’s alright. Not the best taco’s you’ll have; meats a little fatty. no serve your own limes but they do have the salsa in squirt bins accessible. If you don’t mind a little jet A fuel hitting your head due to the LAX flight path your standing under. Apparently the meat used to be good; I’ll pass next time.

Don’t know what happened to this place, it used to be so good. Now it is just mediocre at best. They now garnish your food for you and the pepinos are no longer peeled they are just cut and thrown in the bucket. Place def ain’t what it used to be…

They no longer peel the skin off the cucumbers and they no longer leave the salsa buckets, cucumber and lime buckets out for self service. I am disappointed but this place has a place in my heart and i still need to give it 5 stars!

I’ve been buying tacos from this truck for a long time. They have really inexpensive tacos and drinks that you can eat right there or take home. I’m usually really picky when is comes to agua de horchata but I strongly recommend theirs. They also have a good variety of tacos to choose from. They have tacos de asada, pollo, pastor, chorizo, carnitas, bunche, tripa, and cabeza. They have lemons, chopped cilantro and onion, and salsas for you to add on. If you take it to go, they also include these things in your to go bag. The truck tends to be on the same spot. They have a parking lot but it gets really full and crowded mostly because they’re really popular. There are a lot of other taco and food trucks on that street and the street across but Taco Dollar is the place everyone prefers. This taco truck is also open really late at night. I have gone at 3AM before and they were still open and running. There were some weird people out but as long as you don’t go alone you’ll be fine. If you’re craving some good and cheap tacos, I strongly recommend this place.

Dollar taco truck still finger licking good. Meat so tasty you would crave for more. Small parking lot next to the truck. It gets crowded early evening no matter what day you go. The street is busy and narrow. I try to go early around 6pm.

There I was listening to Kiss FM… they are going over the top $ 1 taco places in LA according to the LA Times. As they ask callers about their FAVs a girl calls in and mentions this place which is super close to my pad. Tonight I head over to check them out. This food-truck is awesome! Neon lights spelling Taco Dollar will make it easy to find, 104th& Inglewood. The truck is parked in front of a parking lot which is very convenient. All tacos with the exception of «tripas» are $ 1, very clean, friendly customer service and super fast. Its CASHONLY so come prepared. The tacos are served on the small soft corn tortillas but don’t let the size fool you, they are very meaty so you can easily have 4 in a matter of minutes and get full. Their salsas are delicious in particular their green salsa, citrusy, mild and chunky. They have a few chairs if you want to have dinner on the sidewalk or you can always take them to go. They will give you a clear bag with your order and all the condiments neatly packed. Of course that you need to wrap your unhealthy dinner with something fried… there is a lady in the parking lot that makes churros! Fresh Churros! Overall, this was a great experience and a MUST if you are in that side of town. PS. Firefighters love to eat here… that’s always a good sign ;)

Was in the hood. Of course I was drunk as fuck, out of sheer luck I passed this place on my way back to the Telly. 5 tacos $ 5. In and out. Tacos are a bit smaller than other trucks, but they are legit little pieces of heaven for your face hole. I’d give it 4 stars if I were drunker and hungrier.

This is definitely my favorite taco spot, and I’m sad that I’m only giving them four stars. Taste-wise, they are the best tacos you’ll find in LA, hands down. They have horchata and jamaica to go with your meal, and different salsas, including some very spicy cucumbers in lemon. The neighborhood doesn’t detract from what a great spot this place is. There is parking and they even have a security guard, even though I would say this neighborhood is safe despite what exaggerations you may hear. The line moves quickly, and you have the option of eating there on a few benches, or taking it to go. There is another little stand that makes churros(they are AWESOME!) on the same parking lot, and I suggest you get some to complete the experience. Now, as to the reason why I only gave this spot 4 stars: The tacos used to be served with more meat before, so they’re getting a little skimpy. They’re still very good, but just saying… They’re also giving you less salsa to go than they used to. I also saw a review here about the salsa and lemons being rotten, which has sadly something that has happened to us twice before, which is enough to consider a meal ruined.

I ordered five carne asada tacos on this visit. As to be expected with authentic tacos they are small and the flavor is great. If going here for a meal consider five tacos to be the base line minimum. The truck has its own private parking lot. When I showed up just past midnight there were about 10 vehicles in the lot with room for several more. I would expect that after 2AM that this place gets packed with people leaving the clubs across the street. About a minute after I ordered my food, it was ready. Being a stupid gringo I was sweating that I would not be able to understand my number when called. Lucky I was able to identify #63 and not stand out like a stupid gringo: P My order of tacos to go came wrapped up in a piece of foil small enough to fit in a fist along with a guac and salsa in plastic containers and a bag of onions and scallions. I would return for another visit if in the area. It was a good experience but calling these the holey grail of tacos might be a little premature. I still have a lot of tacos to go before making that accusation.

These tacos are good but they don’t accept credit cards so that’s a minus one star and last time I came the sauces smelled rotten and there were rotten limes inside the bucket where they have them. How disgusting! And it’s not like they were inconspicuous, the limes were BLACK and smelled foul. For that they went down to one start. Fortunately the tacos are good and cheap so the regained another star.

This is the ultimate LA taco truck experience. I’m going to call it and say that it can’t get any more awesome, seriously. This is the place to take chicks on dates and truly experience LA, and guys the tacos are really only $ 1! The taco dollar truck sits in the heart of the city of Inglewooood(in the voice of Snoop Dogg/Dr Dre). No worries city folks, you feel completely safe while you are there. There are plenty of white collared guys making taco runs, because they know this is where the good eats are at. It’s safe and easy to park with a dedicated customer lot and a friendly security guard directing traffic. So you’re probably wondering what makes this taco truck so cool? Its delicious dollar tacos, killer salsa, champurado and ohhhh those spicy marinated cucumbers are a start. But the real star of the show is the location and ambiance! Yup, you heard me right. Since we are in a «poor» neighborhood, the flight paths of planes flying into LAX line up directly overhead. The intimidating planes fly over dramatically low and it feels like you are in a scene from the movie Pushing Tin. This is as close as most of us are going to get to the underbelly of a 747. In the dark of the night, watching the lights in the sky, and listening to the loud woosh of the planes, you can’t help but want to sit close to each other and enjoy the scene in awe. But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there. There is more to the ambiance than just the low-flying planes overhead. Head over to the vender in the lot hawking dvds and cd’s; he’s probably currently blaring some super loud, ethnic, Mexican music. You must pay him a visit. For about $ 5(depending on how you bargain) you can purchase dvd’s of movies that aren’t even out on dvd yet! Ohhh yea, and no worries folks I’ve vetted them and the movies are totally legit. These aren’t movies, taken of movies, in movie theatres. These are copies of high quality, academy screeners, that are sent out to people in the«Industry.» The movies are perfectly fine to watch if you don’t mind the words«For your consideration» flashing across the screen every now and then. Hey, I feel pretty fancy watching a movie that want’s my consideration. Ahhh, gotta love the proximity to Hollywood and the access to this type of material. Have you worked off your tacos and now feeling like a bit of dessert? Pay the churro lady a visit. She sits in between the taco truck and the dvd vender. A dollar will get you a bag containing 4 of the lightest, most delicate churros you’ll ever have. These are excellent churros! Different from the ones served on Olvera street or at fancy shops like Churros Calientes. Their ultra light texture makes them stand out. Have you totaled up how much you’ve spent yet? For less than $ 20, heck for less than $ 15 you can have dinner, dessert and pick up a movie for two. A visit to the Taco Dollar Truck offers a peek into the heart of LA that everyone needs to experience. La-da-da-da-dahh(Inglewooood)
