Unicentro Inc. core business is computer solutions. As the name states, we focus on computer repair/​smart phone repair, and computer classes. From managed services for businesses to individual iPhone /​smart phone repairs. In addition, we provide computers classes with a hands-​on approach to all our students. Our computer classes focus on real world experience, from introduction to computer basics, to art design, and selling

products on eBay and Craigslist.

History

Established in 2002.

UniCentro’s has evolved over the years. Our idea was stop the digital divide in America. Where a large percentage of the American population had no access to the Internet. In the first phase of our company, we were more like a small Kinko’s store, by providing customers computer access to the Internet at extremely low prices ($ 5.00 per hour versus Kinko’s $ 24), copies, printing etc. Then, we progressed by providing customers PC repair, and smart-​phone, and Tablets repair. Due to the advent of smart phones, we are now focused on proving computer technology classes. Our classes are extremely affordable ($ 15.00 per hour) and we use a real hands on approach, where the student is exposed to real world experiences. During these years we have become part of the community and we give back around 5% of our gross proceeds to support the community.

Meet the Manager

Manager

I founded the company to help stop the digital divide in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Particularly the Lennox, Inglewood corridor. Lennox, has the largest student population in the South Bay and over the years most of my work and the work of the seven other employees has been to help students, elders, and the rest of the community to assimilate the rapid change of technology. Speaking with candor, Unicentro has been more of a non-​profit company for the past ten years. Prior to working at Unicentro, I worked in licensing encryption software to companies worldwide.
