Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter School is dedicated to developing life-long learners; providing excellence in education for all students; and promoting the growth and development of productive citizens toward building and sustaining a humane, just, and global society. Our academic focus embraces a rigorous research-based college preparatory curriculum that supports effective teaching by the faculty and promotes strong economic, intellectual and pragmatic leadership in our students.
Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter School provides children and their parents with a positive educational experience. Because we recognize that high quality education is critical to the success of students and that each individual possess special characteristics and talents, our goal is to nurture these qualities while developing all other areas to their fullest potential.
Our 37,000 square foot state of the art facility was built with inner city students in mind. The academy has twenty-two large classrooms, three computer labs, a library, an art room, an indoor gym, a media lab, a cafeteria, a photography lab, a science lab, a study hall and a music room.

Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter School has also been honored to receive recognition as being a «Title 1 Academic Achievement Award School» for 5 consecutive years by the Department of Education, State of California. In 2013, Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter Middle School was awarded the California Distinguished School Award, and the School Charter was renewed for another 5 years by the IUSD. In 2014 Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter Elementary School was awarded the California Distinguished School Award.
Raymond D. Wilder’s commitment to community service and education has been recognized by dozens of organizations and government agencies, locally and nationally. His life inspired others to dream big dreams. It was his way of giving back to Inglewood, the community he loved. His Legacy continues through the hard work of his wife, daughter, staff, students and parents of Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter School.
