History

Established in 2011.

SurfaceGleam Tile & Grout Restoration opened for business in early November 2011 in Myrtle Beach, SC. We earned our stripes cleaning, and sealing, tile & grout, concrete, brick, stucco, natural stone, VCT (vinyl cut tile), as well as carpet and upholstery. We did post construction cleaning in two Tanger store openings.

SurfaceGleam moved upstate (Inman, SC) in August 2013, and since the move, we have branched out a bit in services offered. We are now the premier color-​seal specialists in upstate SC. We do grout repairs. We have restored many showers to the great relief of our clients.

Business Owner

Living in Myrtle Beach means encountering lots of hard surface floors of all types. Beach towns have lots of sand and sand easily gets trapped in carpet, especially thick carpet. The floors would get dirty and people would just sweep and mop, not knowing why their floors wouldn’t come clean.

When someone would try to find professional help, all they could get were the carpet guys. Problem is, the carpet guys could only sometimes clean the tile and that was only certain types of tile. They never could get the grout fully clean. Natural stone? Forget about it. They wouldn’t touch it for fear of ruining it.

Eventually, Robert came across a business opportunity and the solution to the beach’s floor problem with The Master’s Touch, or TMT. He trained and became TMT certified at their plant in AZ.

After two years building the company in MB, Robert moved to Inman in August 2013 to join his new wife and family. He is an active member of New Beginnings UMC in Boiling Springs, SC.
